Here is an interesting comment that I have to feature in it's own piece:
Joseph didn’t need an “Aaron.” He was mighty in speech by himself. Read that whole chapter and you’ll learn that it doesn’t speak of Joseph Smith but of a future prophet that comes through the lineage of Joseph of Lehi(Manasseh). And he will do a mighty work in converting the Lamanites(Joseph Smith never did that).I would be interested in more enlightenment on this and some backing of the idea that the idea of this Indian Prophet was changed in the early 1900's to Joseph Smith.
This was actually commonly understood with the early brethren. And in fact the early editions of the BOM mentioned an Indian prophet in that chapter. It was changed in the early 1900s to Joseph Smith. That chapter has yet to be fulfilled.
Not sure if this is an apostate notion - or legit. I am open to learn more about this, including the One Mighty and Strong....
I wouldn't be surprised.
ReplyDeleteWe'll know for sure if God has determined it to be about time to call an Apostle from somewhere in Latin America. Or in Asia. The latter was actually prophesied by Hugh B Brown back in the 60s in Japan that a future Apostle was among them at the time.
Whoever the Lord calls, He will qualify.
