This is a blog post to remember that my sister (the fifth of 8 children) passed to the other side this past Sunday. It was a very sad thing, because there were unresolved issues there involving three people (myself included) over four decades ago.
Because of the sensitive nature of the problem that was embarrassing for .625, she refused to acknowledge her part in the fiasco and even threw me under the bus, maligning my name and threatening (classic gaslighting) to plow anyone else under who brought this up. This included another sibling that was there and acknoweledged my version of events, despite a rigorous attempt by most of the rest of the family posse who sided with 5 of 8, to make me out for a liar, bad of memory, etc etc. This in spite of the fact that there was someone else there who was willing to go to bat for me and lay any questions to bed.
Fact is this: few, if any, care for the truth - unless it is convenient for them and will benefit them. In fact, in analyzing the events over the last few days, my wife and I came to the conclusion that, in fact, secret combinations can and do exist even at the family level. The mechanics of it are basic - and their main goal and design is to get gain (either financially or socially) and to get one person or a group of people above the other. And so I have experienced this at a level I had never before thought possible; a micro-secret combination, of sorts.
And this is the beginning of how it pervades society. It must start in the family and spread like an insidious cancer from family to family, from organ to organ until it permeates governments and everything in society. The only ones that can shield themselves from it are those who simply stand on principle and principle alone and who make a conscious effort not to partake. These are the few who will make it into the Millennium.
So, all unresolved bad juju will have to be taken care of on the other side if it is not resolved over here. If serious enough, that person will be damned in their progression, until that thing is resolved.

ReplyDeleteBut everyone is at different levels of understanding, perception and if there are differences in beliefs, there is little we can do for own in many cases because of Pride. There can be no, "I told you so" without creating division.
For a long time I thought like most, that it was our sins that kept us back, but there is something so much deeper. It is our trajectory. Satan wants us so badly to give up on the target established by the Savior's doctrine. But it is a commitment to the target and all that is good and virtuous that we need to desire and shoot towards even if we are not fully committed, we should still know the correct direction we need to go in. There is so much deception out there, that the belief's of many, referring to the woke culture, have attached themselves to portions of these things and ignored the rest of the really destructive parts....at least for a little while. These things are undoubtedly anti-Christ in nature. To admit you have been wrong and to alter your trajectory, requires a mighty struggle to contain that pride and humble oneself. After all, it is the search for truth we need to focus on, and not being popular with the world or even our own Morman culture. That is the challenge, especially when we as social beings can be swayed by the group pressure, and we create arguments in our minds to justify ourselves.
Taking sides of an uncorroborated person's story line is foolishness and not finding forgiveness even if it might be so is their problem to deal with.
I believe on the other side of this life the challenge with be our PRIDE.
I trust people to hang onto their preconceptions and belief systems to the popularity of those they choose to identify with, even if Jesus was there trying to help them see more clearly. Dallin Oaks spoke upon the same concepts in his latest conference talk upon the degrees of glory.
