JESUS CHRIST - THE CORNER STONE THAT WAS REJECTED

In reading that story over and over - of how Christ said he was the corner stone that was rejected - I never understood what he meant. Now I do. They threw Him out into the valley Kidron - and then finally (will) figure it out later how he was what they should have put in later. Usually, the first thing you do is put the cornerstone down first and then build upon it. The Jews (of that day - and subsequent generations, following the traditions of their fathers) rejected the Great Cornerstone. One day (soon), they will recognize him and put Him in his rightful place in His Church. Very interesting - though it has not been researched yet by me to fully check out the story:

The Rejected Cornerstone

In next place, I want to discuss that the builders rejected the cornerstone. It seems that the idea of the rejected cornerstone is based upon a legend that was handed down from the building of Solomon’s temple. It is believed that Solomon’s temple was built on the very ground that David purchased from Aruna to offer up a sacrifice to the Lord when the Ark of the Covenant was brought to Jerusalem. Remember when they tried to bring it the first time they did not do it in the right way. They put it on an ox cart, it started to fall off, and a man touched it and the Lord took his life. I used to think that did not sound right. The man was trying to do a good thing, and was trying to keep the Ark from falling off the cart, and the Lord put him to death. I thought about that more, and they were doing it in the wrong way. It was to be put on poles and carried. Your arms are natural shock absorbers. Have you ever tried to move something that was very fragile, and if you put it in a wheelbarrow or cart or something and you hit a rock, and boom you lost it? But, if you get two or four people to carry something, your arms can act like natural shock absorbers. David was angry with the Lord. Finally, he came to his senses. He was King, and he admitted that it was his fault, and he was responsible for doing it the right way. We ought to do things the right way first, and then we don’t have to worry about what will happen. So when they brought the Ark the second time, they went back and studied God’s word. They found out how they were supposed to do it. They brought it to Jerusalem. That is where David bought the ox, and the yoke, and all the wood, and he built an altar there in Jerusalem and offered a sacrifice up to the Lord. The Lord was pleased with what he did on this occasion.

David was a man of blood. He was a mighty warrior; he fought and drove the enemies of God’s people out of Palestine. Later, as he became an old man, he decided he wanted to build a permanent house for the Lord. He said: “Lord here I live in a beautiful, luxurious house of cedar, and you live in a tent, and he wanted to build Him a house.” The Lord said: “No, I will not allow you to build this house because you are a man of blood.” But he said: “Your son who comes after you he will build this house.” So David did everything he could to prepare materials, wood, stone, all of the items that would be needed to build a beautiful house for the Lord, a temple. So Solomon comes along, and he was rich beyond description. He had so much gold flowing in and he had trade with people down in Ethiopia, Africa, and up at Phoenicia and they all paid tribute to him. So he started to build this building. By the way no saw or hammer could be used on this building, and no chisel. All of the materials were pre-cut and measured, and then brought to Jerusalem, like a prefabricated house and put into place and the building was erected. According to the story, a great large stone was sent to Jerusalem by the stone masons out at the quarry. The workers and the builders could not find where the stone was to go. They moved it over to the side, and the workers kept stumbling over it, and had to go around it and finally someone suggested this must be the wrong stone. We cannot find out where it goes. So they moved the stone over to the edge of the mountain, pushed it over the mountain, and it was lost and they forgot about it. Finally, they got the building completed, and the builders sent word to the stone quarry that they were ready for the cornerstone. The masons sent back word that they had already sent the cornerstone to them. Then they remembered the big stone that they did not know where it went, and which they pushed it over the side into the Kidron Valley. So they went down there and they searched and finally found that large stone and recovered it, brought it back and it fit perfectly into place. That is the story that has been handed down to us about the rejected cornerstone.

Have you ever tried to put something together and you are looking at all of the instructions and there is a piece missing. We have had chipmunks at our house for over 30 years, and they drive you crazy. Everywhere you go there is a chipmunk. The other day there was one that ran out into my office. My son Damon has had a lot of trouble with squirrels and raccoons. So Damon bought one of these traps that you put food in and they go in and the door falls down. He brought that up to my house and said: “I just bought this collapsible type trap and you can put it together.” My wife always wants to help me out. She opened up the box and brought it in. I am reading the instructions and trying to figure out where this thing goes and that thing goes. Finally I got it all together and there was a piece missing. The trap door at the back where you let them out so you will not be bitten by them had a rod that was supposed to go through there. I haven’t seen it. Everything that was in the box is there. So finally she came in with a smile and said: “That piece that you were looking for, well it was lying out there on a chair.” So I put it in there and it worked just fine.

A lot of times we will reject something because we cannot figure out how it goes. Then later on we find that if we had just read the plans a little bit more closely we would have noticed that we needed that piece. That is kind of the way they were with the cornerstone. The Bible anticipated the rejection of the cornerstone by those builders, and made application of it to a different kind of a cornerstone. Look at Isaiah 8:13-14: “The LORD Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread, and he will be a sanctuary; but for both houses of Israel he will be a stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare.” He is talking about a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense to both the houses of Israel that would be Judea in the South and the Kingdom of Israel in the north—the Twelve tribes.

GARUDA - ANOTHER WINGED REPRESENTATION OF CHRIST IN LOWER ASIA?

I thought this Wiki description of Garuda was interesting (CLICK LINK). I used to flight test airplanes that this Indonesian national airline bought. Interesting that his enemy was the serpent and that his wings were red. Many very interesting parallels to revealed truth and what we know about other cultures who received visits from a "winged god" who fought evil!

In Hindu religion, Garuda is a lesser Hindu divinity, usually the mount (vahanam) of the God Vishnu. Garuda is depicted as having the golden body of a strong man with a white face, red wings, and an eagle's beak and with a crown on his head. This ancient deity was said to be massive, large enough to block out the sun.

Garuda is known as the eternal sworn enemy of the Nāga serpent race and known for feeding exclusively on snakes, such behavior may have referred to the actual Short-toed Eagle of India. The image of Garuda is often used as the charm or amulet to protect the bearer from snake attack and its poison, since the king of birds is an implacable enemy and "devourer of serpent". Garudi Vidya is the mantra against snake poison to remove all kinds of evil.[3]

His stature in Hindu religion can be gauged by the fact that an independent Upanishad, the Garudopanishad, and a Purana, the Garuda Purana, is devoted to him. Various names have been attributed to Garuda - Chirada, Gaganeshvara, Kamayusha, Kashyapi, Khageshvara, Nagantaka, Sitanana, Sudhahara, Suparna, Tarkshya, Vainateya, Vishnuratha and others. The Vedas provide the earliest reference of Garuda, though by the name of Śyena, where this mighty bird is said to have brought nectar to earth from heaven. The Puranas, which came into existence much later, mention Garuda as doing the same thing, which indicates that Śyena (Sanskrit for Eagle) and Garuda are the same. One of the faces of Śrī Pañcamukha Hanuman is Mahavira Garuda. This face points towards the west. Worship of Garuda is believed to remove the effects of poisons from one's body. In Tamil Vaishnavism Garuda and Hanuman are known as "Periya Thiruvadi" and "Siriya Thiruvadi" respectively.

In the Bhagavad-Gita (Ch.10, Verse 30), in the middle of the battlefield "Kurukshetra", Krishna explaining his omnipresence, says - " as son of Vinata, I am in the form of Garuda, the king of the bird community (Garuda)" indicating the importance of Garuda.

Garuda plays an important role in Krishna Avatar in which Krishna and Satyabhama ride on Garuda to kill Narakasura. On another occasion, Lord Hari rides on Garuda to save the devotee Elephant Gajendra. It is also said that Garuda's wings when flying will chant the Vedas.

The story of Garuda's birth and deeds is told in the first book of the great epic Mahabharata.[4] According to the epic, when Garuda first burst forth from his egg, he appeared as a raging inferno equal to the cosmic conflagration that consumes the world at the end of every age. Frightened, the gods begged him for mercy. Garuda, hearing their plea, reduced himself in size and energy.

Garuda's father was the creator-rishi Kasyapa. His mother was Vinata, whose sister was Kadru, the mother of serpents. One day, Vinata entered into and lost a foolish bet, as a result of which she became enslaved to her sister. Resolving to release his mother from this state of bondage, Garuda approached the serpents and asked them what it would take to purchase her freedom. Their reply was that Garuda would have to bring them the elixir of immortality, also called amrita. It was a tall order. The amrita at that time found itself in the possession of the gods, who guarded it jealously, since it was the source of their immortality. They had ringed the elixir with a massive fire that covered the sky. They had blocked the way to the elixir with a fierce mechanical contraption of sharp rotating blades. And finally, they had stationed two gigantic poisonous snakes next to the elixir as deadly guardians.

For Those of you who know Gail, or know of her, she has a very interesting story to tell.

This story should concern every living being on earth, and cause you to truly "Come unto Christ". She has seen many earthquakes, floods, and other destructions which will come upon the earth. I have permission from Gail to place her story here for anyone who is interested in reading it, so here it is:

I would like to go on record as one who knows Gail, and has spoken with her at length. Gail claims NO authority, keys, prophetic gifts, or anything else. She is just someone who is telling her story as she has been commanded to do. If you will research these things yourself, you will find that they coincide with the scriptures on every point, but that they have been put on a local level. Read them yourself, and ask the Lord if they are true, as this is the ONLY way to know!
This is a summary of the dreams, visions, etc. received by Gail over the last several years concerning some of the things that will occur in these latter days. Gail has reviewed and corrected this.

I suppose virtually all people familiar with the Bible are aware of the prophecy in Acts 2:17-18 that-

“In the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy;...”

About nine or ten years ago I began to meet people who had experienced various apocalyptic visions and dreams of some of the same things that Gail has seen. I began to make all sorts of physical preparations, such as food storage, etc, but soon realized that by far the most important preparation is spiritual, that is, to draw as close as possible to the Lord. Since that time it has seemed that about every year I have heard new stories of the earthquakes, etc. along with express or implicit indications that that year would be the year the events would begin. Frankly, I’m more than a little tired of all of this, in part, because it really messes with my ability to keep my nose to the grindstone so that the bills get paid, etc.

Several things make Gail’s story different. First, she has had thirty years experience in receiving these dreams and visions and in detecting the deceptions of the Adversary. Second, she is the only one I’ve known that the Lord has clearly told to go on the radio about these things. Third, she has received hundreds of calls, visits, etc. from others who have seen various parts of what she has seen. Fourth, while she still has not received any personal revelations on the dates when these things are to begin, many others have. Finally, I know that she is being absolutely truthful about her experiences.

Around May-June 1996 Gail was invited to tell her story on a radio talk show in Salt Lake City, hosted by Dr. Jack Stockwell, D.C., weekdays from 7 AM to 9 or 10 AM on KTKK (630 AM) . She has been on this show about six or seven times. She has been astounded that literally hundreds of people have contacted her to tell her that they too had seen some or many of the things she had talked about and until they had heard her speak they each thought they were the only one to be shown these things. What this means is that while the events discussed here are in Gail’s words, more importantly EVERY ONE of the forthcoming events mentioned here is the collective experience of hundreds of other people as well.

Gail has received no money for appearing on this show and was unwilling to even do it until the Lord made it unmistakably clear to her that she must do this. Gail has been told that ”If the Brethren attacked her at the October 1996 General Conference and tell the people not to believe her then the sequence of events would begin in 1996.” This did not happen. Gail’s sister was killed in 1969. Shortly after that her sister began coming to her. Gail’s mother passed away in 1982. Since her mother’s “graduation” basically only her mother has come to her. The principal purpose of the visits from beyond the veil was to show her events that were shortly to occur. She was also taken over into the Spirit world and shown around, although her memories of many of the details of those visits have been taken from her. Until just two or three years ago most of what Gail was shown concerned harmful or even deadly situations, accidents, etc. that would occur to family members. Gail’s task was to warn these family members and prevent their injury which she did. During these years her family learned to always heed such warnings for they had saved them from serious injury or death time and time again.

Beginning in 1993 her mother began to show Gail a number of the cleansing type future events that could or would occur. She has been told on more than one occasion that the timing and even the occurrence of these events is conditional, subject to the behavior of those on earth.

Before getting into all the heavy stuff she has seen I think it might be best to start with the good news first.

THE GOOD NEWS: The purpose of this cleansing prior to the Lord’s return is to separate the wheat from the tares, namely those who believe in and follow Christ from those who won’t. Gail has seen that it does not matter whether one belongs to a church or not or even what church one joins. The only thing that matters is whether you will turn to Christ! Gail has been shown that during the period from the financial collapse to the third quake the righteous who are not appointed to die will be led or taken to “cities of refuge or cities of light”. Gail has seen visions of some righteous people being led out by beings of light when it is so cold that the little children are crying and the people just have the clothes on their backs.

She has shared with me several scenarios shown her that illustrate ways in which the Lord will save those who turn to Him. She was in her home and saw about 6 armed troops enter her home searching for food, weapons, ammo, etc. She also knew they had orders to arrest her and that if she were taken she would be killed. She prayed in her mind, “Lord, if it be thy will that I am not to die at this time, please save me and tell me what to do.” The spirit told her to tell the men not to touch her or they would die. The laughed and one man grabbed her. Immediately he fell dead at her feet. Within a few minutes the others had convinced themselves that the first man’s death was just a coincidence, that he had a bad heart or something. A second man started to go for her at which time she said “Please don’t touch me or you’ll die.” He ignored the warning, grabbed her and immediately fell dead at her feet. The remaining men left as fast as they could. In another scenario she saw the wild animals coming down out of the mountains, killing and eating people. Among these animals she saw groups of mountain lions, four to six to a group. (Traveling in groups is not normal behavior for these solitary and timid cats.) One of these groups of cougars approached her. Not knowing what to do, she thought, “Well praying worked before”, so once again she prayed, “Lord, if it be thy will that I’m not to die at this time please save me and tell me what to do.” The spirit said, “Reach out your hand and pet the front mountain lion on the head.” She thought to herself, “Sure I will!”, but she did it anyway. The animal immediately began rubbing against her like a house cat, rolling over, etc. and the other animals did the same. The people in the area who saw this became terrified of Gail and fled. Gail says that this is why the scriptures say that people are afraid to go up against Zion for God is with them. Then the Spirit said, “I have showed you the great power that I am willing to exercise on behalf of one person, Think what I will do f>

The Lord also told her on another occasion that. “I will feed you, I will clothe you, I will put a roof over your head. I will protect you. All that I require is that you believe I will do it.”

THE SEQUENCE OF EVENTS WHICH GAIL HAS SEEN MOTHER-IN-LAW PASSES AWAY: The first event is the death of her mother-in-law, who was about 90 when this was first written and not in the best of health. In other words, she could die any time and is, in fact, eager to do so.

ECONOMIC COLLAPSE: Shortly after her mother in law’s death the government will cause to occur very rapidly a complete, world wide economic collapse in which money would be worthless. She is not sure how soon after her mother in law’s passing this will occur. At one time she felt it would just be a few days; now she is not sure how much time will pass. She saw lots of paper money blowing about the streets and no one bothering to pick it up. There are a number of scriptures, both in the Bible and in modern revelation which refer to Babylon falling, and an economic collapse occurring in “one day”. She has not been shown how this collapse would occur, but she has been shown on many occasions that it would occur very quickly over just a relatively few days. She says that “we will hear rumors which will get louder and then the collapse will happen very quickly.”

FIRST EARTHQUAKE: Within about 10 days after the economic collapse there would be a substantial earthquake along the Wasatch Front in Utah. She says that this quake “doesn’t seem that hard but because it lasts so long there is quite a bit of damage.”

SECOND EARTHQUAKE: Within about 15 days after the first earthquake there would be a second earthquake that would be INCREDIBLE. (I have another friend or two who have seen these quakes and they say that this second quake would be the biggest quake ever recorded by man.) The damage would be massive and would include the breaking of every dam in the mountains above the Wasatch Front. The Jordanell dam will break and then when the surge hits Deer Creek, it too will break and a huge wall of water over 80 feet high will scour Provo Canyon and everything in front of it. There will also be massive liquifaction of the ground in the west part of the valley. Buildings will be falling like dominos. There will be massive fires and floods. Travel south out of Salt Lake Valley will be blocked because the huge sand and gravel deposit at the Point of The Mountain will slide across the entire valley making it impossible to go across this loose material on foot. Also, very wide and deep crevices will open up in this same area. The crevices will be perhaps 600 feet deep and 500 to 600 feet wide.

MARTIAL LAW: Sometime between the economic collapse and the second earthquake martial law would be imposed in Utah and perhaps over the entire country. The rioting, looting, mobbings, etc. that will follow the economic collapse will be unlike anything this country has ever experienced. She says this martial law will be incredibly oppressive and brutal, worse than Nazi Germany. People caught outside after curfew will be shot. People will be prohibited from meeting, praying or leaving the area. Those caught doing so will be executed, Armed troops will have authority to search homes and seize food, arms and ammunition and anything else they choose to take. This oppression will be so severe that people will pray night and day for deliverance. The U.N. will relocate people and sort them, some will be executed and others sent to work camps. She saw armed soldiers rounding up groups of men and then shooting them. She saw that men were very scarce in the valley.

THIRD & FOURTH EARTHQUAKES: Perhaps five or six months - perhaps longer, after the second earthquake a third earthquake will hit the Wasatch Front destroying everything and everyone left in the area. Gail thinks that this quake is in response to the prayers asking for relief. This third quake will result in significant shifts in the earth’s crust that will cause a series of massive quakes all over the world. Sometime later there will be a fourth quake in the Wasatch front of such incredible magnitude that she saw Mount Timpanogos sinking away and a new mountain appearing in the middle of Utah Valley. When I asked Gail to review this in Sept. 1996 she added the following: “Last week I saw the whole valley under water. I was standing on the Point of the Mountain looking both ways to Utah Valley and Salt Lake Valley and saw all of it under water. The water was lapping up against my feet. I was up on the foothill. I also saw the cracks in the earth with molten lava coming out of them.”

PLAGUES: Following the second earthquake one or more terrible quick killing diseases would break out in the Utah area and kill many. The disease(s) will be something like the Ebola virus that kills very quickly. While Gail was talking on the radio about these plagues a man named “Robert” called in and said he had been shown these diseases and he was also shown that the governing powers controlling the troops would be responsible for unleashing the disease on the people. Gail agreed with this. According to both of them the entire area from Northern Arizona to southern Idaho would be sealed off and turned into a “dead zone.” They said that the purpose for all of this is to kill Christians and particularly the LDS.

U. S. INVADED: Shortly after the second earthquake the United States will be attacked by invading forces. Russia will invade the East coast and China the West coast. The invasion will include missile attacks. She was shown that the invasion would occur when people were eating and drinking which Gail believes to be Thanksgiving, but possibly Christmas. There will be nuclear attacks on both coasts, Las Vegas, and perhaps in Utah.

BEGINNING OF THE MARK OF THE BEAST: She and others have also been shown some events involving the leadership of the LDS Church. The governing power(s) would threaten to exterminate the entire church if the leaders did not cooperate. The church leaders agree to cooperate with the corrupt government rather than trust in and turn to the Lord. The deal is that the Church leaders will tell the LDS people to bring their food storage into central church controlled locations which will then be shared among all the members. However, instead the Church turns everything over to the government. Then the government, (probably U.N. controlled) requires that people receive an implanted computer chip in their right hand or forehead before they can draw anything out of the storehouse(s). This will be the beginning of the “Mark of the Beast” in the world. Gail says, “Those who wake up at this point and refuse to take the mark will have their heads cut off.” Revelations speaks of people being beheaded and also says that those who do take the “Mark of the Beast” will lose their salvation and exaltation. It is definitely much better to be beheaded than lose everything by accepting the mark - besides, they will be resurrected fairly quickly anyway. [The scriptures on the “mark of the beast” are in Revelations 13:15-18, 14:9-11, 16:2, 19:20 & 20:4] She was also shown that the government would not keep its part of the deal with the Church leaders and after getting the food storage would proceed to do its very best to exterminate the church and its members. Based on what Gail has been shown it looks like the purpose of the martial law, at least in Utah and adjoining areas, will be to contain the people in these areas so that they will die as a result of disease, famine, etc. What Gail and others have seen fits precisely with the “covenant with death” that Isaiah saw the latter day church leaders entering into, which covenant would be “disannulled” and the people would be “trodden upon” anyway. Isaiah 28 beginning at verse 14.

STATE OF THE LDS CHURCH IN THE LATTER DAYS: For those LDS who believe that “all is well in Zion” and that the Brethren would never lead us astray, you might consider the profoundly negative things that the Lord has to say in 2 Nephi 28 about one in the Church in the latter days (it could only be the presiding officer of the church) who wrongly teaches that “all is well in Zion.” (It’s not likely that whoever it is will use those exact words but the essence of his message will be the same.) I find nothing in the scriptures to support the proposition that the “Brethren will never lead the people astray.” In fact, the Lord has said in several different places to “trust not in the arm of flesh” but rather to look only to the Lord and only trust in Him and His revealed word as found both in the Scriptures and personal revelation via the Spirit. See e.g., 2 Nephi 28:31-32; D&C 1:19-20; D&C 45:56-57; & Matt 24:37 (Inspired Revision).

In fact, what the scriptures have to say about the Church in the latter days is that the Gentile church (Ephraim) would get seriously off track. Before considering these scriptures I recommend pondering Joseph Smith’s last prophetic dream which he had the night before his murder in Carthage as found on pages 393-394 of “The Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith” compiled by Joseph Fielding Smith. In that dream Joseph saw himself returning to a beautiful farm he had owned in Kirtland, Ohio. Only now the fields were weed filled, fences down, and the barn was a mess with its doors and windows out and the floor torn up. While he was standing in the dilapidated barn a group of men approached, some with knives, and threatened him saying the property was theirs now and they would not give it back. Joseph said in effect that while he still legally owned it, never having sold it or given it to anyone he did not particularly want it back. Then a second group of men also carrying knives, etc., entered and began arguing with the first group over the property. Joseph just walked away while they argued among themselves. Since Joseph never owned a farm at Kirtland the farm must be symbolic of something else, undoubtedly the Church.

Now to the scriptural evidence concerning the state of the LDS Church in the Latter days.

ISAIAH:
Of all the Prophets Isaiah seems to have the most to say about the LDS Church in the
latter days. I’ll begin with some Isaiah scriptures in the Book of Mormon since there is no question that these apply to our days.

2 Nephi 19:13-16 (Is. 9): The people do not seek the Lord so in ”one day” the Lord will “cut off”
(cause to die) “the head” or “the ancient” (the Pope) and “the tail” or “the prophet that teacheth
lies” (could only be an LDS Prophet). He then says “the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed.” See also 2 Nephi 13:12 & 28:14. If a Pope (possible an Eastern Orthodox Patriarch but more likely a Pope) and an LDS Prophet die on the same day then you will know that that Prophet was “the prophet who teacheth lies”.

Is. 22:15-25: Describes “Shebna, which is over the house” (an LDS President and Prophet) whom the Lord will “drive...from thy station, and from thy state shall he pull thee down” (be driven from office in disgrace) and be replaced by “my servant Eliakim”. Thus, Isaiah prophecies of two separate LDS prophets, one who teaches lies and will die in office and Shebna who will be driven from office, who are seriously off course and not acceptable to the Lord.

Is 28: Verses 1-13 describe the “drunkards of Ephraim” who “are on the head of the fat valleys” (rule over the prosperous valleys of Utah). The “drunkards” are so drunk with pride that they err and are “out of the way” and “err in vision” and “stumble in judgment”. For this they are “trodden under feet” (destroyed). Then, beginning at verse 14 Isaiah describes the “covenant with death” entered into by the “scornful men who rule this people in Jerusalem” (the Prophet and other Brethren in Salt Lake City). Significantly, in verses 2-3 Isaiah refers to a “mighty and strong one” who “as a tempest” shall “cast down to the earth... the drunkards of Ephraim”. Compare this with D&C 85:7 & Ezek. 34:23-24.

The unhappy state of the latter day Church seems to be one of the recurring themes throughout Isaiah. I am quite certain this message is a big reason why the Savior and earlier prophets of this latter day dispensation wanted us to see but could not expressly mention, so they simply said “Read Isaiah”.

EZEKIEL:
Read 33:30-33 and the entire Chapter 34 referring to the latter days and “shepherds who feed not the sheep”

MORMON & NEPHI:
Nephi in 2 Nephi 28 and Mormon in Mormon 8 (particularly beginning at verse 35) describe the errors of the LDS church that the Lord showed to them for the benefit of those in this dispensation with ears to hear and eyes to see. Both prophets describe similar problems including rejecting Christ and the Holy Ghost (rejecting the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost), pride, materialism and neglecting the poor in order to build imposing buildings.

Recall Pres. Benson’s profound message on pride as being “the sin of Zion”. Ensign, May, 1989, pp. 4-7.

JESUS CHRIST:
The Lord in 3 Nephi 26:6-11 describes a “trial of faith” that He (Christ) would give those who received the record (the LDS). If they passed the trial they would receive the greater things from the sealed portion of the plates. Since the LDS have not received these things it’s obvious that the LDS as a whole have failed the Lord’s trial of faith. See also additional statements of the Savior in which He describes the condemnation of and His displeasure with the Saints. D&C 84:49-59, 1:19-20; 45:56-57 and 107:81-84 (if the Prophet can’t err why then did the Lord establish a procedure for impeaching the Prophet?)

Because the Church would reject Christ and His Gospel (by rejecting the doctrine of the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost, the profound experience in which the natural man dies and one is reborn as a son or daughter of God, D&C 39:5-6), Jesus told us at least 4 separate times in 3rd Nephi that the Lamanites would tread down the gentiles. 3 Nephi 16:15; 20:16; 21:12; & 21:22.

A man of God would despise the idea. Others, in the extreme exercise of their almighty authority have taught that such obedience was necessary, and that no matter what the saints were to do by their presidents they should do it without any questions. When Elders of Israel will so far indulge in these extreme notions of obedience as to teach them to the people, it is generally because they have it in their hearts to do wrong themselves.” Joseph Smith in the “Millennial Star, Vol 14, Number 38, pages 593-595.

BRIGHAM YOUNG:
“I am more afraid that this people have so much confidence in their leaders that they will not inquire for themselves of God whether they are led by Him. I am fearful they settle down in a state of blind self-security, trusting their eternal destiny in the hands of their leaders with a reckless confidence that in itself would thwart the purposes of God in their salvation, and weaken the influence they could give to their leaders, did they know for themselves, by the revelations of Jesus, that they are led in the right way. Let every man and woman know, by the whisperings of the Spirit of God to themselves, whether their leaders are walking in the path the Lord dictates, or not.” Discourses of Brigham Young, John A Widtsoe, pg. 136

“The First Presidency have a right of great influence over this people; and if we should get out of the way and lead this people to destruction, what a pity it would be! How can you know whether we lead you correctly or not? Can you know by any other power than that of the Holy Ghost? I have uniformly exhorted the people to obtain this living witness, each for themselves; then no man on earth can lead them astray.” Discourses of Brigham Young, pg. 137

The above material is certainly not all the material on point but should be more than sufficient to get the message across. In fact, I have not yet found anything in any of the four standard works of scripture which says anything other than the Church in the Latter Days gets seriously off track. ONE CAN ONLY TRUST IN CHRIST!

WHEN DOES THIS SEQUENCE OF EVENTS BEGIN?

Gail has not been told exactly when the chain of events would begin. She has been given the following information: In September of 1995 her mother appeared and told her that the economic collapse would be “in October.” She was not told which October. When she began getting all the information about the events of the latter days she was told that these things would occur “soon, very, very soon.” Around the latter part of August or the first part of September 1996 she was told that the “great and terrible day of the Lord is here.” Around early Sept. 1996 her mother came to her and told her that the “Abomination of Desolation was beginning.”

After one of her radio shows in 1996, a woman called and wanted to talk to Gail because she wanted to know how much she should believe her five year old son. As the story unfolded, her son was looking at the grass fires on the west side of Utah lake that occurred in July of 1996. While watching the fires he said “Mom, that’s what it’s going to be like after the earthquake.” When she asked who had been telling him about the earthquake, he answered “Jesus, momma.” The rest of the story is that he asked to look at a calendar for 1996. This boy can not yet read or write and is just barely learning some letters and numbers. As he leafed through the pages of the calendar he stopped at the month of November and pointed to Tuesday Nov. 19 and told his mom that was the day of the big earthquake. Gail told the boy’s mother that if she had a son like that she would believe him.

Dr. Jack Stockwell also had an experience in which he saw a timeline showing earthquakes in the world from the 1950's into the year 2000+. On this timeline each quake was marked by a vertical line. Other than markers for the years and decades the only date shown him on the timeline was “November 1996" which appeared over one of the biggest lines on the chart indicating an incredibly massive quake.

Navajo and Hopi prophecies say the destructions would begin in the year in which they have no crops. 1996 is such a year for they did not even plant crops this year.

CONCLUSION: As I said at the beginning, while none of the stories I’ve heard over the last ten years about precisely when these events are to begin has yet been correct, that does not mean that the information given here is wrong. Each person has to take these matters to the Lord and let the Lord tell you what you should do. I do have a very uncomfortable itch in my bones that tells me that the cleansing events must begin sometime soon, certainly within the next few years. What is the Lord trying to tell you?

Is Gail Being Deceived? When I talked to her about the possibility of her being deceived she said she doesn’t think so. She explained that since she began having the experiences with her sister and mother Satan has come to her many times and in many different guises. Each time she has detected him and discovered his deceptions. She says that his deceptions have a different feel than do her mother’s appearances. Every one of the events discussed here has been shown to Gail by her mother.

The final conclusion remains the same. It is incumbent upon each recipient of this material to take these matters to the Lord and learn the truth directly from Him.

UPDATE JULY 29, 1997

Warning Process identified as the “Gathering of Eagles”: Sometime around May-June 1997 Gail received a call from Menno Pauls, a man in Vancouver, B.C. He explained that he had obtained a copy of an earlier version of this material, he had received much the same information and wanted to talk with her about their common experiences. She, of course, was delighted to talk with him. During their conversation he shared these experiences. About 1974 he began to receive basically the same information about future events that Gail has received. He was then given the names and sometimes the addresses of specific people that he was to go to and tell them what he had been shown. At the time he owned a window washing business and was unable to leave it without someone taking his place. He was told to go and see the people he had been directed to see and that his business would be taken care of. He then said that he literally had angels washing windows for him while he was away. In 1981 he was told to sell his business. Since he sold his business he has had sufficient means for his needs and has been sent to more people all over the world to tell them about the future events he has been shown. Recently he was told that this process he was engaged in was called “the gathering of eagles”. See Matt 24:28. He was also shown that at some point many will be literally picked up from wherever they are and taken by the Spirit to places of refuge. Matt. 24:41-42 Many of those taken up will be terrified because of not understand what is happening. The role of the “eagles” is to explain to those people what is happening to calm their fears and comfort them. Others engaged in the warning process that I am aware of include Gordon Michael Scallion, Dumitru Dudiman, and “To His Glory Ministries”, in Syracuse, New York. The prophecies of Dumitru Dudiman are available on the InterNet (just search for this name) as are the prophetic experiences of several others at the “To His Glory Ministry” site, where I find the prophetic rhymes of “Jo Ann G.” to be particularly interesting. While I have not searched the net for Gordon Michael Scallion’s information I’d be very surprised if at least some of his information was not there.

METEOR TO HIT EARTH: Some months ago Gail’s mother came to her and showed her a large meteor/comet hitting earth. There would be little warning, perhaps a few hours or a day or two. It would fragment into pieces and impact in the western U.S. and the Pacific ocean. The man from Vancouver was shown that it would have a sterilizing effect killing a third of the life in the ocean and a lot of other plant and animal life. He also was shown that it would generate a huge tidal wave 500 feet or more high that would hit the entire west coast. Neither Gail nor her friend from Vancouver have any information on when or where in the sequence of events this meteor will occur.


UPDATE August 26, 1997

Gail has been told that October the 10th and 29th are significant days. Gail has also seen great, strong winds blowing throughout Utah. The first quake does much more damage than previously thought or seen, due to the length of time of the shaking. The first two earthquakes happen in the early morning, and the second two happen in the afternoon. The time period between the second and third quakes could be months, or it could be years! There will be phenominal fires after the second quake. The third quake will happen in some April in the future. After the third quake, there will be water shooting up from the Great Salt Lake, and the lake surface will be burning. Water will fill both the Salt Lake and Utah Valleys. Before the 4th quake we must be under Jesus Christ's protection in "cities of light" in order to survive. And for the record, Gail has discussed the time when she will be persecuted, and how shortly after this happens these things will begin; well, the persecution is taking place as of this update!

I myself have also seen many of these things in dreams or visions, and know numerous others who have also. There have been a lot of people who have listened to Gail, and have decided that since these things did not occur in 1996, they are not going to occur.

These people are wrong! We must remember that everything is variable, depending upon men's actions here upon the earth. I know that these woes and destruction's will occur, because I have seen them, and have read and studied the scriptures. We must each look inside ourselves, and decide what we must do to "Come unto Christ" and become spiritually prepared for his judgements to be released upon the earth. ~Enoch144

ATTACK ON IRAQ IS “BEGINNING OF THE END”
FEBRUARY 12, 1998: URGENT WARNING FROM GAYLE’S MOTHER
(SECOND REVISION Sat. 2/21/98)

In a telephone conversation with Gayle (of “Gail’s Story” and “Gail’s Story Updated”) this morning, Sat. Feb. 14, 1998, Gayle told me that her mother had come to her two mornings ago Feb. 12, with a grave warning. Before I repeat the warning from Gayle’s mother I want to first tell you about the message Gayle received about three weeks ago as she asking the Lord about when things were going to start happening. Gayle was seeking understanding because she was deeply concerned about the confluence of such current events as:

1) the obvious growing shakiness of the global financial situation;
2) the crisis in Iraq precipitated by Saddam Hussein’s refusal to allow the UN weapons inspectors to do their job, the insistence of Pres. Clinton that the weapons inspectors must be allowed to continue, the U.S. military preparations for a military strike on Iraq, and Russia and China’s stern warnings that an attack on Iraq is totally unacceptable and will mean war; and:
3) the huge turmoil over the Clinton-Monica Lewinsky sex scandal.

In response to her earnest prayer she received from the Lord the message that “NOW IS THE HOUR. THE HOUR HAS COME”

During a conversation this morning, Feb. 19, 1998, Gayle mentioned that on Oct. 1, 1997 she was told that “In all things there is a point of no return and we’ve reached that point.”

On Thursday morning Feb. 12, 1998 Gayle’s long deceased mother again returned and gave her the following message.

“The military base closure around the nation is like plucking a bird of its feathers. If you take them one at a time they will be gone before the bird realizes it can no longer fly. That we will be defenseless before we realize it.”

Gayle then said that her mother went on to say:

“If our President invades or attacks Iraq that it will be an all out war. That it will be leading up to the invasion of this country (United States) because they have everything in line. That they will be able to collapse the economy of the United States. They want the troops away from the United States so they can initiate the economic collapse and martial law, to take away personal weapons and the military will not be here to defend us. And then they invade.”

Gayle said her mother told her, “THIS IS A WARNING. WAKE UP AMERICA.”

NEW MATERIAL: Since I originally wrote this the following additional pieces of information have come to me:

A microbiologist named Larry Wayne Harris (Mr. Harris has a web site that I found at "http://norden1.com/~hawkins/CIVIL.HTM” in one search using his full name with Infoseek) has an audio cassette tape out in which he talks about ways biological weapons have been brought into the US, including by Iraqi women who’ve entered the US carrying vials of anthrax and perhaps other biotoxins secreted in vials in their body cavities, and that these toxins are ready to be released here. (Mr Harris’s story is spelled out in totally believable, bone chilling detail at the above web site.)

[ADDED Sat. 2/21/98] Mr. Harris has been arrested in Las Vegas along with Mr. William Leavitt for possession of Anthrax. The media has labeled them as terrorists. Mr. Leavitt is married, the father of three children and a former Bishop of the Logandale Third Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Information on the web site of the “Las Vegas Review-Journal” (I found it in my first search for “Larry Wayne Harris”. Yesterday there was only one reference that Infoseek brought up, today the same search brought up 23 references.) provides information on this story and good biographical background information on these men. My question is why now has the government arrested and smeared these men who say they have developed antidotes to Anthrax and other biotoxins??? The evidence supports Harris and Leavitt. The federal government action strikes me as an extremely ominous move. [End of addition]

Now, add to the above information about the biological weapons the possibility of at least some of the purportedly 100 or so Russian suitcase size nuclear weapons that are apparently unaccounted for and that makes for the potential of a very nasty surprise package. [A number of people, including Gayle, have been shown nuclear explosions in the US and in Utah.]

[ADDED Sat. 2/21/98] The wife of a good friend works in material support (basically a huge parts department) at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. During the Gulf War this base and their department was a major source of support for repair parts for the planes and personnel over in the Golf. At that time their department could locate and ship needed parts, etc. within a few hours. Since then that capability at Hill has been completely dismantled. It now takes up to 10 DAYS to even find a single part. The morale among personnel in this department is below rock bottom.

[ADDED Sat. 2/21/98] The McNeil-Lehrer Report on PBS has reported that not one of the countries in the middle east or other allies such as Japan that supported the Gulf War financially have agreed to support Clinton's threatened strike on Iraq. Does this look like as big a set-up to any one else as it does to me? [End of 2/21/98 addition]

I have received several messages from a prophetic discussion group at “prophetic@revival.gen.nz” concerning the following:

1. The timing and content of the current big hit “Titanic” is no coincidence. It is rather a divine message to us of what is about to happen to the US. I’m told the movie concerns an adulterous love affair on the doomed ship between a man who subsequently drowns and another man’s wife. The Titanic allegory is as profound at that level as it is at the level of the suddenness of the destruction about to occur to those who are living it up in the lap of luxury on the doomed Titanic. [This is completely in accord with the number of biblical prophecies from both the old and new testament of the destruction of “Babylon” in the last days in “one hour” and in “one day”. Dumitru Dudiman has told us that he was told specifically that the US is the “Babylon” of the last days spoken of in the scriptures. A simple search on the web for “Dumitru Dudiman” will find several sites containing his extensive prophecies.]

2. A man, identified as “John”, wrote on Feb. 17, 1998 that after reflecting on the warnings to William Cohen from Russian diplomats that if the US attacked Iraq (quoting John) “it could very possibly start a world war”, he (John) was prompted by the Spirit to pray as follows, ”Just and true are thy ways thou King of saints. Lord, let they judgments come that the harvest may be reaped, for your judgments are true and righteous altogether.”

In addition to the attack on Iraq, it’s widely known that North Korea is apparently poised to attack South Korea at any moment. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize that to North Korea the best time to attack would be right after we attack Iraq, especially if the US is hit with either or both anthrax/nuclear weapons.

Many, including Isaiah and Gayle, have been shown the invasion of the US by Russia on the east coast and China on the west coast. Isaiah says that they invading forces, after accomplishing great destruction will be stopped by divine intervention and themselves destroyed &/or driven back. One man was told that the invasion would occur after the US ships troops to Korea.

I’ve also heard that the Warburgs, the most powerful Illuminati family, is totally committed to the US attacking Iraq because (1) that would make all the Illuminati “banksters” wealthier because they finance both sides, and (2) it would be a major move to depopulating the world. The well known report from the Club of Rome states the Illuminati objective of reducing the world’s population to about half a billion, a bit less than 10% of its current population.

COMMENT ON THE ILLUMINATI: [THEY’LL LEARN THE HARD WAY THAT GOD IS IN CHARGE] While this handful of the world’s most obscenely wealthy appear to believe that the war they are now fomenting will bring to final fruition the objectives they’ve been working towards since their founding in 1776, they are profoundly oblivious to the fact that they are nothing more than a besom of destruction in the Lord’s hands.

God has always used the wicked to scourge and punish the wicked. Likewise will these unimaginably selfish and wicked scourgers, who with unfathomably obscene arrogance think “they are in control”, themselves “fall into the pit which they have digged” as has been long prophesied and also be cleansed from the earth. to receive their oh so well deserved rewards.

ADDENDUM ON THE BAPTISM OF FIRE

[NOTE: I’ve tried to write this entire paper for all people without regard to their faith or lack thereof. Of all the people mentioned only Gail, Dr. Stockwell and I are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also called “LDS” or “Mormons”. However, because of our church affiliation, I’ve written some of this more for LDS with scriptural references being mostly LDS scriptures. Those who are not LDS need not be concerned about the LDS stuff. WHAT REALLY MATTERS IS WHETHER ONE WILL TURN TO CHRIST AND TRUST IN HIM REGARDLESS OF WHAT CHURCH ONE BELONGS TO OR NOT. I’ve added this addendum for those LDS who may be interested in more information on the doctrine of the baptism of fire. It may also help them understand why much of the cleansing tribulations will begin around Utah. That reason being where much is given much is expected, and it’s apparent from the scriptures that the Lord knew the LDS would not do all that well with what they would receive. IMPORTANT: read all the scriptures cited.]

The doctrine of the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost is THE CENTRAL TRUTH WHICH THE LATTER DAY SAINTS HAVE BEEN REPEATEDLY COMMANDED TO TEACH and which the Book of Mormon expressly says the Latter Day Saints will largely reject. THE “LOST” DOCTRINE OF THE BAPTISM OF FIRE is that every person must seek for and obtain their own remission of sins through an event or experience known by many names including “ the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost.” Remission of sins DOES NOT COME thru or with mere baptism in water. While there is a process of qualifying for it, the actual Baptism of Fire and the Holy Ghost is a profound, recognizable EXPERIENCE that, among other things, changes human nature by expunging the natural man, fills one with the pure love of Christ, and bestows a remission of sins. It is the application of the Savior’s atonement to one’s life. It is THE WAY one becomes clean and therefore eligible to return to Father’s presence. It is the mighty change that fills one’s heart with charity and enables a group of such changed people to establish a true Zion Society. Moses 7:27; 4 Nephi 1. (The Latter Day Saints have conclusively demonstrated that a true Zion society can not be established with those who are still “natural men”.)

One of the big keys to seeing the central importance of the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost is to become aware that the scriptures use many synonyms to refer to it including the following: come unto Christ; conversion; sanctification; born again; becoming a son of God; becoming clean; becoming as a little child; born of the Spirit; becoming a new creature in Christ; hope; entering into the strait and narrow path; having clean hands and a pure heart; mighty change of heart; receiving the Holy Ghost; regeneration; remission of sins; partaking of the goodness of God; and spiritual healing. All these synonyms and more can be most often identified by recognizing one or more of the effects of this mighty change of heart then being discussed. Once you know the synonyms you see the doctrine discussed literally everywhere. The Book of Mormon is full of examples of the experience such as King Benjamins’s people, Alma the Younger, Enos, the Lamanite lynch mob in Helaman 5, King Lamoni, etc. The greatest example is found in 3 Nephi chap. 19.

Coming fully unto Christ through the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost is the central message of the Book of Mormon. It is the principle doctrine restored in the restoration. Only remnants of this doctrine remain in the Bible. It is also the heart of the Savior’s message in 3rd Nephi. Consider-

THE SAVIOR’S OWN STATEMENTS OF HIS GOSPEL
D&C 39
5 And verily, verily, I say unto you, HE THAT RECEIVETH MY GOSPEL RECEIVETH ME; AND HE THAT RECEIVETH NOT MY GOSPEL RECEIVETH NOT ME.
6. And this is my gospel, - repentance and baptism by water, and then cometh the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost, even the Comforter, which showeth all things, and teacheth the peacable things of the kingdom.

In at least four additional places, Jesus defines His gospel as including the element of the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost. D&C 33:11-12; 3rd Nephi 9:13-22; 11:28-41; & 27:13-29. See also Nephi’s unsurpassed discussion in 2nd Nephi beginning at 31:1 through 32:6 and Enoch’s retelling of Adam’s explanation of the Gospel and the account of Adam’s complete baptism in Moses 6:40-68.

COMMANDMENTS TO TEACH THE FULNESS INCLUDING THE BAPTISM OF FIRE
D&C 19
31 And of tenets thou shalt not talk, but thou shalt declare repentance and faith on the Savior, and remission of sins by baptism, and by fire, yea, even the Holy Ghost.
32 Behold, this is a great and the last COMMANDMENT which I shall give unto you concerning this matter; for this shall suffice for thy daily walk, even unto the end of thy life.
33 And misery thou shalt receive if thou wilt slight these counsels, yea, even the destruction of thyself and property.

See also D&C 49:11-14; 53:3-4; & 55:1-3. Also, in 3rd Nephi 11, the Lord, after again defining His gospel in verses 31-38 to include “fire and the Holy Ghost”, then says in verses 39-41:
39 Verily, verily, I say unto you, that this is my doctrine, and whoso buildeth upon this buildeth upon my rock, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against them.
40 And whoso shall declare more or less than this, and establish it for my doctrine, the same cometh of evil, and is not built upon my rock; but he buildeth upon a sandy foundation, and the gates of hell stand open to receive such when the floods come and the winds beat upon them.
41 Therefore, go forth unto this people, and DECLARE THE WORDS WHICH I HAVE SPOKEN, unto the ends of the earth.

The commandment to “teach nothing but repentance unto this generation” (D&C 6:9; 11:9; 14:8; & 18:6) is well known. In D&C 19 the Lord makes it clear that “repentance” is one of the many synonyms for the rebirth in the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost. In D& C 19, after three times commanding Martin Harris to repent (vs. 13, 15 and 20) and then in verse 21 commanding Martin to “preach naught but repentance”, finally, in verse 31 the Lord restates and clarifies this commandment, telling Martin to “declare repentance, and faith on the Savior, and remission of sins by baptism, and by fire, yea, even the Holy Ghost.” Clearly Jesus was not giving Martin two different commandments about what to preach, but only explaining it in different words.

JOSEPH SMITH
The Prophet Joseph plainly taught the paramount importance of the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost: You might as well baptize a bag of sand as a man, if not done in view of the remission of sins and getting of the Holy Ghost. Baptism by water is but half a baptism, and is good for nothing without the other half - that is, the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

The Savior says, “Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” “Though we or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.” according to Galations 1:8. Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, at pg 314.

The baptism of water, without the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost attending it is of no use; they are necessarily and inseparable connected. An individual must be born of water and the Spirit in order to get into the kingdom of God. TPJS at pg. 360. The reason that baptism by water is useless without the baptism or fire and the Holy Ghost, is because the baptism of fire applies the Savior’s atonement to that person and grants a remission of sins. Without the remission of sins the Savior’s atonement might as well never have happened. This is why rejecting the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost is a rejection of Christ Himself. D&C 39:5.

Only those whose garments have been washed clean in His Blood may return to the presence of God. D&C 88:21; Mormon 9:6, 14; Moroni 10:32-33 Every person is under the condemnation and bondage of sin until receiving their own remission of sins through the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost. D&C 84:49-59

SCRIPTURES INDICATING THE LDS WOULD REJECT THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST
The original Nephi and Mormon both speak of the sins of the Latter Day Saints in 2 Nephi 28 and Mormon 8. Among the several charges they both make against us are the following: “Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of Christ?”, Mormon 8:38; “they shall teach with their learning, and deny the Holy Ghost, which giveth utterance. And they deny the power of God, the Holy One of Israel;...” 2 Nephi 28:4-5; “Yea, wo be unto him that hearkeneth unto the precepts of men, and denieth the power of God, and the gift of the Holy Ghost!”, 2 Nephi 28:26. Also in 2 Nephi 32:7, Nephi, after writing the plainest, most complete explanation in all of scripture of the doctrine of Christ and the necessity of the baptism of fire (2 Nephi 31:1-32:6), is forbidden by the Spirit from writing more and then sorrowfully pens this sobering lament:

And now I, Nephi, cannot say more; the Spirit stoppeth mine utterance, and I am left to mourn because of the unbelief, and the wickedness, and the ignorance, and the stiffneckedness of men; for they will not search knowledge, nor understand great knowledge, when it is given unto them in plainness, even as plain as word can be.”

This could only be referring to the Latter Day Saints, since they are the ones who would have his record. Much of the information on the baptism of fire is in “Experiencing The Mighty Change”. It’s by far the best work on this topic I know of. For more details I refer you to this excellent resource. I’ve heard that Deseret Book carried it; perhaps they still do.

NOTE TO OTHER CHRISTIANS ABOUT THE DOCTRINE OF THE BAPTISM OF FIRE
The most well known example remaining in the Bible of the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost is of course the account of the Day of Pentacost and a few additional accounts in Acts. Unfortunately, the Adversary has been so successful in his efforts to suppress this doctrine that there is not enough information left in the Bible to really pull all of the pieces together. However, since the Lord is in charge and knew that all of this would happen, I’m confident that it’s all part of His plan and that among those who trust in Him whatever misunderstandings there are about this and all other doctrines will all be cleared up as needed after He returns to reign during the Millennium. The real essence of true religion is in the two divine laws of love, namely to love God and our fellow man and act accordingly in all things. All else is simply corollaries to these governing laws of love.

AUGUST 5, 1998

In a conversation I had with Gail this morning, she told me that for the last 3 weeks or so she has dreams, etc every night all impressing on her how close the cleansing tribulations are and how urgent and vital it is to turn to Christ. During this time she's been repeatedly shown numerous instances of the coming martial law situation and how terribly oppressive it will be. For example, those without the mark of the beast will be killed and/or imprisoned.

She's also seen repeatedly an angry dark sky full of huge, dark, roiling clouds that are just about to bust loose with terrible storms.

Something not generally reported is what she has been shown starting last fall and winter about the magnetic pole change that will occur and how this will be accompanied by unprecedentedly severe winds in the range of 300-400 MPH that will scour literally everything off the earth where those winds touch. On one occasion she was up in Salt Lake, about 45-55 minutes from her home in Alpine, UT. She somehow sensed or was shown that the magnetic pole shift was beginning and she immediately began heading home in her car.

Before she get home the pole shift was complete and the scourging winds had begun.

Within these last 3 weeks she's also seen repeated scenes of these awesome winds blowing and the accompanying clean sweep of all that these winds touch.

Within the last couple of months a very strong tornado hit a small town north of Kansas City and basically wiped out the downtown. I recall one report that said how the winds had literally pulled an entire basement with walls and floor right out of the ground. These tornadic winds were around 150-200 MPH. Imagine what winds TWICE that powerful will do.

WE SHOULD ALL SHAKE THE VERY FOUNDATIONS OF HELL

I have been ruminating on this scripture the last few days. The words that have popped out at me have been those that describe knowing when to stay and fight and when to run from evil and aggression. I think these words will come in handy as we see tyranny raise its ugly head all around us - and from surprising sources.....but, then; this is not a political blog....

10 And thus he was preparing to support their liberty, their lands, their wives, and their children, and their peace, and that they might live unto the Lord their God, and that they might maintain that which was called by their enemies the cause of Christians.

11 And Moroni was a strong and a mighty man; he was a man of a perfect understanding; yea, a man that did not delight in bloodshed; a man whose soul did joy in the liberty and the freedom of his country, and his brethren from bondage and slavery;

12 Yea, a man whose heart did swell with thanksgiving to his God, for the many privileges and blessings which he bestowed upon his people; a man who did labor exceedingly for the welfare and safety of his people.

16 And also, that God would make it known unto them whither they should go to defend themselves against their enemies, and by so doing, the Lord would deliver them; and this was the faith of Moroni, and his heart did glory in it; not in the shedding of blood but in doing good, in preserving his people, yea, in keeping the commandments of God, yea, and resisting iniquity.

17 Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men.

SETTING THE STAGE FOR THE COLLAPSE OF THE KIRKLAND SAFETY SOCIETY

I had never really gotten into the history of the American banking system. I generally oppose interest charging entities as parasites that feed off the mis-fortune and desperation of others, which will not be in existence during the Millennium. We have to have banks to stimulate trade and commerce - but a fee-based system is the way to go; not our current system that sucks the life blood and energy out of people and, by their own system's rules and operations, allows unwitting people and the uneducated to become voluntary slaves.

I am not a big fan of the Muslim religion - though they have many good points of doctrine that I subscribe to - but they have nailed the financial thing down perfectly. Maybe that will be the system used in the 1000 years of peace and prosperity that the survivors will enjoy.

How did the United States develop into the world's richest and most powerful nation from an inauspicious beginning as a collection of colonies where currency was in such chronically short supply that all sorts of substitutes, e.g. tobacco and wampum, had to be used as money?
Apart from its intrinsic interest, history can often shed light on current political controversies. Many political disputes revolve around questions of economics and of all the matters that fall under the purview of economic history there is one that has had, and still has, a profound impact on many aspects of everyone's daily life, and that is money. This essay is based on a book on monetary history by Glyn Davies which contains a considerable amount of material on the financial development of the United States.

The Potlatch, Gift Exchange and Barter

Money is often, mistakenly, thought to have been invented simply because of the inconvenience of barter. In fact the development of money was due to many causes and even barter itself often had important social functions in addition to its purely economic purposes.

The potlatch ceremonies of Native Americans were a form of barter that had social and ceremonial functions that were at least as important as its economic functions. Consequently when the potlatch was outlawed in Canada (by an act that was later repealed) some of the most powerful work incentives were removed - to the detriment of the younger sections of the Indian communities. This form of barter was not unique to North America. Glyn Davies points out that the most celebrated example of competitive gift exchange was the encounter, around 950 BC, of Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. "Extravagant ostentation, the attempt to outdo each other in the splendour of the exchanges, and above all, the obligations of reciprocity, were just as typical in this celebrated encounter, though at a fittingly princely level, as with the more mundane types of barter in other parts of the world." (page 13).
Wampum - Monetary Uses by Native Americans and Settlers

Since the use of primitive forms of money in North America (as in the Third World) is more recent and better documented than in Europe, the American experience is discussed in the introductory chapter on the origins of money. Whereas the Incas in Peru had reached a high level of civilization without the use of money, in Mexico the Aztecs and Mayas used gold dust (kept in transparent quills) and cocoa beans (kept for large payments in sacks of 24,000) as money. The best known form of money among the native Americans north of Mexico was wampum, made out of the shells of a type of clam. However its use was not confined to the coastal states but spread far inland, e.g. the powerful Iroquois amassed large quantities by way of tribute. Wampum's use as money undoubtedly came about as an extension of its desirability for ornamentation. Beads of it were strung together in short lengths of about 18 inches or much longer ones of about 6 feet.

Wampum came to be used extensively for trade by the colonists as well as the natives, e.g. in 1664 Stuyvesant arranged a loan in wampum worth over 5,000 guilders for paying the wages of workers constructing the New York citadel (page 458). Like more modern forms of money, wampum could be affected by inflation. Some tribes such as the Narragansetts specialized in manufacturing wampum (by drilling holes in the shells so that the beads could be strung together) but their original craft skills were made redundant when the spread of steel drills enabled unskilled workers, including the colonists themselves, to increase the supply of wampum a hundredfold thus causing a massive decrease in its value. A factory for drilling and assembling wampum was started by J.W. Campbell in New Jersey in 1760 and remained in production for a hundred years.
Forms of Money in use in the American Colonies

The British colonies in north America suffered a chronic shortage of official coins with which to carry out their normal, everyday commercial activities. An indication of the severity of this shortage and of the resultant wide variety of substitutes is given by the fact that during 1775 in North Carolina alone as many as seventeen different forms of money were declared to be legal tender. However, it should be remembered that all these numerous forms of means of payment had a common accounting basis in the pounds, shillings and pence of the imperial system.

The main sources which provided the colonists with their essential money supplies fall into five groups.

1. Traditional native currencies such as furs and wampum which were essential for frontier trading with the indigenous population but thereafter were widely adopted by the colonists themselves, e.g. in 1637 Massachusetts declared white wampum legal tender for sums up to one shilling, a limit raised substantially in 1643.
2. The so-called "Country Pay" or "Country Money" such as tobacco, rice, indigo, wheat, maize, etc. - "cash crops" in more than one sense. Like the traditional Indian currencies these were mostly natural commodities. Tobacco was used as money in and around Virginia for nearly 200 years, so lasting about twice as long as the US gold standard.
3. Unofficial coinages, mostly foreign, and especially Spanish and Portuguese coins. These played an important role in distant as well as local trade. Not all the unofficial coins were foreign. John Hall set up a private mint in Massachusetts in 1652 and his popular "pine-tree" shillings and other coins circulated widely until the mint was forced to close down in 1684.
4. The scarce but official British coinage.
5. Paper currency of various kinds, particularly in the colonies' later years.

The first State issue of notes (in north America) was made in 1690 by the Massachusetts Bay Colony. These notes, or "bills of credit". were issued to pay soldiers returning from an expedition to Quebec. The notes promised eventual redemption in gold or silver and could be used immediately to pay taxes and were accepted as legal tender. The example of Massachusetts was followed by other colonies who thought that by printing money they could avoid the necessity to raise taxes.

Another early form of paper money used in north America was "tobacco notes". These were certificates attesting to the quality and quantity of tobacco deposited in public warehouses. These certificates circulated much more conveniently than the actual leaf and were authorized as legal tender in Virginia in 1727 and regularly accepted as such throughout most of the eighteenth century.

In addition to the State issues, a number of public banks began issuing loans in the form of paper money secured by mortgages on the property of the borrowers. In these early cases the term "bank" meant simply the collection or batch of bills of credit issued for a temporary period. If successful, reissues would lead to a permanent institution or bank in the more modern sense of the term. One of the best examples was the Pennsylvania Land Bank which authorized three series of note issues between 1723 and 1729. This bank received the enthusiastic support of Benjamin Franklin who in 1729 published his Modest Enquiry into the Nature and Necessity of a Paper Currency. His advocacy did not go unrewarded as the Pennsylvania Land Bank awarded Franklin the contract for printing its third issue of notes.

Gradually the British government began to restrict the rights of the colonies to issue paper money. In 1740 a dispute arose involving a "Land Bank or Manufactury Scheme" in Boston, and the following year the British parliament ruled that the bank was illegal in that it transgressed the provisions of the Bubble Act of 1720 (passed after the collapse of the South Sea Bubble - one of the most notorious outbreaks of financial speculation in history). Restrictions were subsequently tightened because some colonies, including Massachusetts and especially Rhode Island, issued excessive quantities of paper money thus causing inflation. Finally, in 1764 a complete ban on paper money (except when needed for military purposes) was extended to all the colonies.
The American Revolution and the War of 1812

When he was in London in 1766 Benjamin Franklin tried in vain to convince Parliament of the need for a general issue of colonial paper money, but to no avail. The constitutional struggle between Britain and the colonies over the right to issue paper money was a significant factor in provoking the American Revolution.

When the war broke out the monetary brakes were released completely and the revolution was financed overwhelmingly with an expansionary flood of paper money and so the American Congress financed its first war with hyperinflation. By the end of the war the Continentals had fallen to one-thousandth of their nominal value. Yet although the phrase not worth a Continental has subsequently symbolized utter worthlessness, in the perspective of economic history such notes should be counted as invaluable as being the only major practical means then available for financing the successful revolution.

During the Revolution the Bank of Pennsylvania was established (with the support of Thomas Paine) in June 1780 but it was little more than a temporary means of raising funds to pay for the desperate needs of a practically starving army. The Bank of North America was a more permanent institution, granted a charter by Congress (by a narrow margin of votes) in 1781 and beginning its operations in Pennsylvania on 1 January 1782. It was followed after the war by the Bank of New York and the Bank of Massachusetts, which both opened in 1784, and the Bank of Maryland in 1790.

The financial chaos of the aftermath of the revolution and outbreaks of violent conflict between debtors and creditors led to the establishment of the dollar as the new national currency replacing those of individual states. However, owing to shortages of gold and silver bullion and the rapid disappearance of coins from circulation legal tender was restored to Spanish dollars in 1797 and it was not until 1857 that the federal government felt able to repeal all former acts authorizing the currency of foreign gold or silver coins, but by then coins were merely the small change of commerce.

After the revolution one might have expected the newly independent Americans to have welcomed with enthusiasm their freedom to set up banks but in fact there was a great deal of opposition to banking in general. The first true American bank, the Bank of North America had its congressional charter repealed in 1785. The first national bank, the Bank of the United States, though a financial success, was forced to close when its charter was not renewed. As a result, when the 1812 War broke out there was no government bank to exert a restraining hand on the commercial banks which issued far too many notes backed by far too little specie and the American financial scene reverted to its familiar inflationary pattern.

After the 1812 War the Second Bank of the United States was set up but once one of the heroes of that war, General Jackson, became president it was doomed to failure. Jackson admitted to Nicholas Biddle, the last president of the Bank, "ever since I read the history of the South Sea Bubble I have been afraid of banks." By killing the Second Bank Jackson delayed the establishment of a sensibly regulated banking system for eighty years. During this period the Treasury was left to carry out the increasingly difficult task of being its own banker. There was a divergence between the more settled areas of the country, such as New England where opinion veered towards sounder money, and the frontier states which tended to welcome easy credit but following the Californian gold discoveries in 1848 even the sound-money men became expansionist.
A Banking free-for-all, 1833-1861

The Second Bank of the United States was the only bank whose notes circulated at face value throughout the country. All other banknotes circulated at a discount, if not locally, then at a distance from the issuing bank. The death notice of the Second Bank was a green light to the States to charter their own banks or to encourage their citizens the set up banks for themselves. A "Free Banking" movement sprang up which claimed that citizens had a right to set up banks rather than be dependent on seeking a privilege granted by the State. Banks varied from worthless "wild-catters" that profited from making quick note issues and then quickly moving on, to the opposite example of prudently managed institutions. Some large islands of sanity and security were to be found in the general sea of financial chaos. The total number of banks rose from 330 in 1830 to a pre-Civil War peak of 1,601 in 1861. They poured out a flood of notes most of which were accepted only at a discount from their face value.

Not only every banker but every trader of any importance had to make constant reference in the course of his everyday business to one or other of a series of banknote guides. Thus Hodges Genuine Bank Notes of America, 1859 listed 9,916 notes issued by 1,365 banks, and even then around 200 genuine banknotes had been omitted. In addition there were, according to the Nicholas Bank Note Reporter, counterfeit notes of 5,400 different kinds in circulation, and this dispite the best efforts of the banks themselves, which had set up in 1853 their Association for the Prevention of Counterfeiting.

The NDE and the Future

Kevin Williams' research conclusions


Many people were given visions of the future during their near-death experience. Generally, these visions foretell a future of catastrophic natural disasters and social upheaval followed by a new era of peace and have actually already come to pass. Some of them did not happen as foretold. Many of these apocalyptic visions are to happen within the next few decades. Remarkably, these visions agree with prophecies of the Bible, Edgar Cayce, Nostradamus, and the Virgin Mary visitations of Fatima, Garabandal, and Medjugorje.

Scientific Evidence Supporting the Ability to Successfully Predict the Future

The 9/11 New York City terrorist attack seems to have affected global consciousness through more than news channels. There seems to have been a psychic dimension to the response. Since August, 1998, the Global Consciousness Project, located at Princeton University, has maintained observation of about 40 radioactive random number generators placed at locations around the world. Previous research has shown that the activity of such devices can be affected by psychokinesis (mind over matter). The project tracks psychokinetic effects on these sensitive instruments produced by dramatic events impinging upon global consciousness.

After the terrorist attack, the project assembled data from the generators to see if there had been any extraordinary output from these devices. According to the project's report, there was indeed an unmistakable and profound response. The interpretation of the result is that the world's awareness of the terrorist tragedy created a powerful moment of global awareness, a unified and coherent psychic event which impacted the output of the radioactivity in data collectors. The global consciousness event appears to have begun approximately 10 minutes before the first crash until about four hours afterward. (Kevin Williams)

A Successful Apocalyptic Prophecy Is One That Doesn't Happen

The goal of apocalyptic prophecy is to warn people to prevent it from happening. The reason prophecies are given to humanity is to change current trends and change enough people so that the prophecy will be diverted. Well-known prophecies that were foretold to occur around the millennium have not happened. Skeptics point out that this proves these prophecies to be false. But a better understanding of prophecy reveals that either (1) or (2) is true:
(1)

The prophecy was successful in permanently diverting the outcome by the raising of the world's consciousness.

(2)

Because the prophecy gives an exact date, the prophecy may still be valid and the date may be wrong.

Prophecies from very credible sources rarely give an exact date. Even Jesus said he didn't know the date and time when he would return. This should be a lesson to everyone who comes across a prophecy with an exact date. (Kevin Williams)

The Future Is Not Fixed And Can Change

During Karen Schaeffer's NDE, she was shown her children's future as it would exist if she decided to remain in the light. Because she decided to return, the future she was shown did not happen. This suggests that the future is always changing from moment to moment based upon our current actions and decisions. This principle supports quantum mechanic principles. (Kevin Williams)

One of Margot Grey's NDE research subjects stated:

During my experience ... I was also shown events that are likely to happen in the near future, but was made to understand that nothing is absolutely fixed and that everything depends on how we choose to use our own free will, that even those events that are already predestined can be changed or modified by a change in our own way of relating to them. (Grey, 1985, p. 123)

Rev. Howard Storm was given information on how the future is not fixed:

We have free will. If we change the way we are, then we can change the future which they showed me. They showed me a view of the future, at the time of my experience, based upon how we in the United States were behaving at that time. It was a future in which a massive worldwide depression would occur. If we were to change our behavior, however, then the future would be different. (Rev. Howard Storm)

Howard was also told how a single person can change the world:

All it takes to make a change was one person. One person, trying, and then because of that, another person changing for the better. They said that the only way to change the world was to begin with one person. One will become two, which will become three, and so on. That's the only way to affect a major change. (Rev. Howard Storm)

During Ricky Randolph's NDE, he was told virtually the same thing:

You must return and help others to change by changing your life! (Ricky Randolph)

Dannion Brinkley was told how the future is conditional upon human beings:

If you follow what you have been taught and keep living the same way you have lived the last thirty years, all of this will surely be upon you. If you change, you can avoid the coming war. If you follow this dogma, the world by the year 2004 will not be the same one you now know. But it can still be changed and you can help change it. (Dannion Brinkley)

Dannion was also told that the future is not cast in stone:

The flow of human events can be changed, but first people have to know what they are. (Dannion Brinkley)

Dannion gives the following advice on how people can change the world:

The quickest way to change the world is to be of service to others. Show that your love can make a difference in the lives of people and thereby someone else's love can make a difference in your life. By each of us doing that and working together we change the world one inner person at a time. (Dannion Brinkley)

During George Ritchie's NDE, Jesus said that Ritchie had 45 years to accomplish a particular mission:

It is left to humanity which direction they shall choose. I came to this planet to show you through the life I led how to love. Without our Father you can do nothing, neither could I. I showed you this. You have 45 years. (Dr. George Ritchie)

When Ritchie was revived, he had no idea what he was supposed to accomplish within 45 years. Years afterward, his NDE attracted the attention of Raymond Moody. It was Ritchie's NDE that inspired Moody to begin his ground-breaking research into NDEs and become of the father of the near-death experience. In 1985, Ritchie published his near-death account which was 42 years after his NDE occurred.

During Ned Dougherty's NDE, a Lady of Light told him how to change the world to prevent these catastrophic visions of the future from happening:

I was told that the world could be saved, not by its leaders, but by prayer groups throughout the world. I was told that the prayers of a group of twenty could save a nation from war. I was told that the fate of mankind rested on our ability, individually and collectively, to change the direction of mankind in accordance with God's plan ... Depending on mankind's response to God, these events may be altered, postponed, or cancelled. (Ned Dougherty)

One particular experiencer told NDE researcher Margot Grey that catastrophic Earth changes are a reflection of the social upheaval and violence that is happening all over the world at the moment. (Margot Grey)

Fulfilled NDE Prophecies Predicting the 9/11 Terrorist Attack

During his NDE, Ned Dougherty was given a vision of the future involving a terrorist attack. He wrote about it in his book, Fast Lane to Heaven, six months before 9/11 occurred. Here is what he wrote:

NDE Visions of Future Catastrophes

In Howard Storm's book, My Descent into Death (2000), he describes the future of mankind as given to him by light beings he encountered during his NDE in 1985. Storm wrote how they told him, in 1985, that the Cold War would soon end, because "God is changing the hearts of people to love around the world." Storm states, "Since the time in 1985 when I was told these things about the future the Cold War ended with little bloodshed due to the hearts of people being unwilling to tolerate oppressive regimes."

Storm described what the light beings told him concerning the way things will be on Earth in about 2185. He asked the light beings the question: "Will the United States be the leader of the world in this change?" The light beings replied:

"The United States has been given the opportunity to be the teacher for the world, but much is expected of those to whom much has been given. The United States has been given more of everything than any country in the history of the world and it has failed to be generous with the gifts. If the United States continues to exploit the rest of the world by greedily consuming the world's resources, the United States will have God's blessing withdrawn. Your country will collapse economically which will result in civil chaos. Because of the greedy nature of the people, you will have people killing people for a cup of gasoline. The world will watch in horror as your country is obliterated by strife. The rest of the world will not intervene because they have been victims of your exploitation. They will welcome the annihilation of such selfish people. The United States must change immediately and become the teachers of goodness and generosity to the rest of the world. Today the United States is the primary merchant of war and the culture of violence that you export to the world. This will come to an end because you have the seeds of your own destruction within you. Either you will destroy yourselves or God will bring it to an end if there isn't a change."

Storm wrote, ".... I don't know if the richest country in the history of the world is doomed to lose God's blessing or if the people of the United States will become the moral light of the world. How long will God allow the injustice to continue? The future lies in the choices we make right now. God is intervening in direct ways in human events. In a Spirit Daily.com online newspaper article on August 18, 2003 by Michael H. Brown entitled Near-Death Prophecy: Man was shown Failure of Infrastructure, Power Grid, Reverend Howard Storm discussed America's future as shown to him during his NDE. He stated:

"They made it very clear to me that God had given this country the greatest blessing of any people in the history of the world. We have more of God's blessing. Everything that we have comes from God. We didn't deserve it, we didn't earn it, but we happen to be the wealthiest, most powerful nation in the world. And God gave us all this so that we could be the instruments of God's light in this world, and we are not instruments of light. In other countries people see us as purveyors of exploitation, military might, and pornography. They see us as completely hedonistic and amoral -- we have no morality. People can do whatever they want wherever they want with whatever they want. Our amorality is a cancer on the rest of the world, and God created us to be just the opposite.

"People get mad at me for saying it, but God is very unhappy with what we're doing. When I came back from the experience I was almost out of my mind trying to convert people. God wanted a worldwide conversion thousands of years ago. God pulled out all the stops 2,000 years ago with Jesus. From God's view, that was the definitive moment in human history. And the impact of the prophets and teachers and the Messiah has been a big disappointment to God because people have by and large rejected it. I was told that God wants this conversion. And if we don't get with the program fairly soon, He is going to have to intervene in some ways that from a human point of view are going to seem cataclysmic. God is really tired of what we're doing to one another and the planet and to His Creation. We were put in this world to be stewards and live in harmony with His creation and one another and we don't realize the important spiritual consequences of what we do when we raise a child in a faithless society."

"I asked how [America's purification] would come about, and they said it would be simple, that our society is very dependent on a lot of very fragile things -- energy grid, transportation. In each geographical area of the United States people used to be relatively self-sufficient as far as agricultural products. Now, how long would any state survive without the transport of food and energy?

"What would happen is these very complex and delicate grids of our economic system would begin to break down. We've created a society of such cruel and self-centered people that the very nature of civilization would begin to break down. The angels showed me that what would happen is that people would begin robbing the grocery stores, hording goods, and killing one another for gasoline and tires, and as a consequence everything would break down and would end up in chaos."

When Guenter Wagner was a child, he had a NDE during which Jesus had an extensive conversation with him about averting a nuclear war.

Jesus told Guenter that there were very powerful and cunning beings who were his enemies with whom he had been constantly fighting. He told Guenter to warn the world against them. Then Jesus told him to turn around. When he did he heard people screaming and saw fire and smoke that gradually took on the shape of a mushroom. These catastrophic Earth changes upon America will come about by natural and man-made disasters. Unless Americans begin to make better choices, these changes will certainly come to pass.

North America will be completely divided by a large body of water. A large part of both eastern and western shorelines will be lost. Icebergs and polar icecaps will melt significantly. America will be ravaged by earthquakes, hurricanes, fierce storms, massive fires burning huge areas of the country, explosions in some areas, and the western coastline will change causing California, Oregon, and Washington to become submerged. Much of the eastern coastline will be gone, though not as bad as the western coastline. The southern half of Florida will be under water. The oceans of the entire world will rise significantly.

The seat of power will move away from Washington, D.C because there will be so much turmoil and warfare on the eastern side of America. America will come to the very edge of destruction because Americans have chosen to seek worldly things rather than loving or serving others, and because they refused to care for their precious natural resources, and because their greed and selfishness. The U.S. government will lose most of its power and no longer govern completely and lawlessness will reign on the eastern side of America as well as tremendous anarchy and crime. There will be less turmoil on the western side of America and even a certain amount of prosperity. A new seat of power will rise near present-day Kansas City. From this location, a true spiritual force will become the governing power over the whole land -- a power such that emanates from Christ.

Native Americans will be partially responsible for the peacefulness that will exist in western America. Their knowledge of how to live from the land, or how to be in harmony with it, will bring forth an abundance. Their spiritual knowledge will be taught to the people and everyone will start to learn to live in harmony with each other. Prosperity will come by becoming harmonious with nature or the natural elements upon which they depended.

(a) There will be earthquakes along the Ring of fire in the Pacific.

Arthur Yensen was told the following by a heavenly being in 1932 at the end of his NDE:

NDE Prophecies of a Shift in the Earth's Magnetic Poles

According to NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, in 1998 something changed the Earth's gravitational field which moved the magnetic poles closer together. The NASA article explained that as the ice on the poles melted, ocean currents moved water toward the equator, which factors researchers believe to be partly responsible, in conjunction with shifts in atmospheric patterns, for this ongoing shift in the Earth's magnetic field. This finding by NASA is verification of NDE prophecies that predicted this to occur. Here are some of them:

Edgar Cayce's revelations on the pole shift:

In the late 1920's and early 1930's, Edgar Cayce was the first to describe the concept of pole shift as a result of the crust of the Earth moving independently from the core of the Earth to bring different a surface area over the spin axis. During the past 30 years, this concept has received more and more attention by geophysicists, some of whom now seriously argue that the crust does move independently. Some geophysicists now also argue that the best way to explain a variety of paleo sea-level and other data is that it moves and shifts fairly frequently and more rapidly than previously imagined.

Cayce predicted changes to the Earth surface to begin some time between 1958 and 1998. The cause of these dramatic Earth changes will be the shift in the world's magnetic poles. He stated:

There will be upheavals in the Arctic and Antarctic that will cause the eruption of volcanoes in the torrid areas, and pole shift. There will be the shifting then of the poles, so that where there has been those of a frigid or the semi-tropical will become the more tropical, and moss and fern will grow. (Edgar Cayce)

Practically no coastal areas will be safe during the shifting of the Earth's poles because of the tidal waves. Many people will not survive this shift, but others will, because after a period of churning seas and frightful wind velocities, the turbulence will cease, and those in the north will live in tropical clime, and vice versa. Pole shift prophecies are being fulfilled today according to NASA (see the NASA article at the beginning of this section). The University of Colorado discovered upheavals occurring at the Antarctic pole:

Two ice shelves on the Antarctic Peninsula are in full retreat and have lost nearly 3,000 square kilometers of their total area in the last year. Researchers attribute the retreats to a warming trend ... There is evidence that the shelves in this area have been in retreat for 50 years. (Science Daily)

One of the most intelligent scientist who ever lived had this to say about pole shift:

In a polar region there is a continual deposition of ice, which is not symmetrically distributed about the pole. The Earth's rotation acts on these unsymmetrically deposited masses [of ice], and produces centrifugal momentum that is transmitted to the rigid crust of the Earth. The constantly increasing centrifugal momentum produced in this way will, when it has reached a certain point, produce a movement of the Earth's crust over the rest of the Earth's body, and this will displace the polar regions toward the equator. A Golden Age of Peace and Enlightenment

Prophecies from such sources as NDEs, the Bible, the Dead Sea Scrolls, Nostradamus, and psychic phenomena, all agree that a new era of peace on Earth will come after the foreseen natural disasters purify the Earth from the sins of modern civilization. The following information are some of the positive prophecies of the future that are foreseen to occur after the catastrophic prophecies take place.

In the year 1947, on the shores of the Dead Sea, scrolls from a monastic group known as the Essenes, dated to be about two thousand years old were discovered and was labeled the Dead Sea Scrolls. One of these scrolls is entitled The Last Jubilee. The scroll contains information about the last days during which time it says, a Melchizedek redivivus (reincarnate) will appear and destroy Belial (Satan) and lead the children of God to eternal forgiveness. Here is the segment in question:

This is what scripture implies in the words, "Who says to Zion, your God has not claimed his Kingdom!" The term Zion there denoting the total congregation of the "sons of righteousness" that is, those who maintain the covenant and turn away from the popular trend, and your God signifying the King of Righteousness, alias Melchizedek Redivivus, who will destroy Belial.

Our text speaks also of sounding a loud trumpet blast throughout the land on the tenth day of the seventh month. As applied to the last days, this refers to the fanfare which will then be sounded before the Messianic King. (The Last Jubilee, Dead Sea Scrolls)

The person referred to in the Scroll displayed above is named Melchizedek was a priest described in the Bible as an eternal being. The Bible indicates that he had no beginning of days and no end of life, that is, he was not born of woman and did not die, but ascended into heaven. Many early Christians believed Melchizedek to be an early incarnation of Jesus. If Melchizedek was indeed a reincarnation of Jesus, then this scroll is describing the coming of the Messiah (Melchizedek Redivivus - reincarnate) at the time of Judgment Day.

A remarkable 19th Century Bavarian seer named Stormberger was able to visualize with great accuracy the events that would take place in the future. He predicted three great world wars would happen.

After the second great war between the nations will come a third universal war, which will determine everything. There will be entirely new weapons. In one day, more men will die than in all previous wars combined. Battles will be fought with artificial guns. Gigantic catastrophes will occur.
