LAKE STEVENS, Wash. – Vicki Perry tears up when you ask her about what some of her neighbors have done.A group in Lake Stevens is sharing things with their neighbors via a social experiment.
"She hands me a basket and it's got stuff in it for my dogs," she said as she remembers one of the things a community member gave to her. "It makes me cry even now because people care."
Through Facebook, Vicki is now connected to hundreds of her neighbors in her community via a social experiment called Buy Nothing. The goal is to "give freely, share creatively and post anything you'd like to give away, lend or share among neighbors."
They watched it flourish on Bainbridge Island and now the Lake Stevens group has grown from 40 people about a year ago to more than a thousand, according to Terry Bockovich who, like Vicki, is one of the administrators of the group.
"It's a very subversive way of interacting with your neighbors while staying away from a market-based economy," Bockovich said. "We have so many things in abundance and our neighbors live relatively nearby us, so we can always borrow a cup of sugar, but this is on a much grander scale of doing it."
The group has started a lending library which can equip neighbors with everything to books, kayaks, tubes, yoga or Little League gear, to wedding gowns for brides-to-be.
"Tags still on. It's so cool," Bockovich explained about the bridal lending service. "We see brides probably once or twice a week that come and try things on."
She said a big part of their goal is to be hyper-local and to reduce their carbon footprint.
"We really try to stay away from need-based asking because we don't want to separate ourselves economically by status," she explained. "We are a trusting group. Because we are hyper-local, we know each other."
On Sunday, she, Vicki and Jocie Pendell drove around the Lake Stevens/Granite Falls area to secretly hand out things people need by dropping it off of their porches. They started doing that right after Christmas.
"Somebody had made a comment - oh you're so ninja-like. Nobody sees you drop them off and so the ninja baskets just took off," Pendell said. "When I do a basket, I don't get those things. Everyone else gives them to me to put in the basket to deliver."
Pendell said at the heart of what they're doing is the community.
"We're empty nesters at home and this is what I was missing," she said.
Perry agreed.
"Technology is awesome, but we now live so spread out from everybody and we're so busy going to work and coming home. We've got our faces in our phones and our faces in our computers that we don't talk to each other anymore - not face to face," she said. "[Through connections] you see that there are good people in the world and there are people who will help take care of each other."

BUSTED! YOU COULD NOT GET ME TO WORK FOR THE US GUBMINT
I mentioned that my rainman co-worker was a soft spy for the US gubmint in Russia while on a study abroad engineering opportunity. Paid for by the CIA - tuition and living expenses for one year. He spoke perfect Russian and was let into many top-secret facilities while over there.
He was told where to visit and what to look for by his handlers. He has a photographic memory and gleaned much information during his weekend jaunts.
This fellow, Boris Nemtsov, was filmed (most likely) getting instructions at the American embassy in Moscow. My guess is that he was gunned down on that bridge outside the Kremlin by our own spooks in order to enflame tensions in Russia by opposition parties. "Polonium 210" Putin is way too smart of a chess player to do this. It smacks of an inside job.
According to the Mp, another pro-Russian Hungarian leader will be gunned down. This will precipitate an actual nuclear attack on the US. All eyes glued on events going on over there. We are about to receive fire for our insolence:

MARKET CRASH INDICATORS SAME IN 2015 AS IN 2007?

My market crash indicator happened last week for first time since late 07.
I've known a few business owners and I remember before it all fell
apart, almost simultaneously, they all had issues with distributors
delivering expired product. Over the years, I've seen one or two, but
they are all ramping up with issues again. Basically, what happens is
demand falls and distributors try to pull one over on their customers
because they don't want to eat it. It has to be pretty backed up when it
reaches this point so expect something big to happen in the next 6
months. Happened during the last 2 crashes. We'll see if it happens
again, but it saved me so much last time, I can afford to miss some
gains.

HH: So Elder Holland, you’ve got this vast global perspective – Africa, Asia, before that, who know what else, and it seems to me that intolerance is on the rise not just in the United States where it’s actually kind of gentle. But today, an American blogger was hacked to death in Bangladesh. He was an atheist. He’s also Bangladeshi. And he was in the Hitchens mold.

HH: No one should ever be attacked that way, but it seems to me endemic that people of faith, and people of no faith at all, are all coming under threats of violence.
JH: Well, it seems like every day, I had not heard that incident, but these incidents that we read about or hear about almost literally every day, I think, are genuinely frightening. We do have, the Middle East is another area that I supervise, so I watch very carefully, and read with some anxiety what can happen and does happen in those locations. I visited with some Maronite leaders in Lebanon recently, and they’re just, they’re just very fearful – fearful for their lives and their safety, especially in a spot like Lebanon, but also worrying about Christian flight. They’re very concerned that there won’t be any Christians left in the Middle East if this kind of atmosphere prevails, if this kind of threat continues, and whether it’s a physical threat and the loss of life, or whether it’s just to be uncomfortable to be a Christian. That’s a legitimate concern in lots of places in the world.
HH: And I’m sure the prayers of religious believers of all sorts across the globe are with the 300 plus Assyrian Christians who have been kidnapped by Islamic State.
JH: Yeah, I was just thinking of that example.
HH: Yeah, and so I just was reminded when you were president of BYU, you opened the LDS Center in Jerusalem, correct?
JH: I did. I did.
HH: How does that fare? And tell people about Israel’s approach to religious freedom.
JH: Well, we were only able to, we had, let me start back. With, in the aftermath of the Six Day War in the 60s, we took our first students into Jerusalem, a Christian campus, Latter Day Saint people obviously very interested in the Holy Land. So we took our first students in, in ’67 and ’68 and ’69, and then all those years watched for a place to house them. We had lived in hotels, we’d taken them to whatever accommodation we could find, and finally got a piece of property on Mount Scopus, of all places. That’s a miracle in its own right.
HH: Wow, yes.
JH: But we got that property and built the center, and it’s been prosperous ever since. We’re 25 years now in that wonderful building. Our architect was cited for and received the Israel prize partly for the work on our center. It is an absolutely gorgeous architectural piece. Teddy Kollek said to me personally that he thought it…
HH: The mayor of Jerusalem.
JH: …the mayor of Jerusalem who helped us in a courageous way to get that building built in the name of tolerance and religious freedom. But when I took him through it at the conclusion of the construction, he said this may well be the most beautiful building built in Jerusalem in the last one hundred years. That’s a bold statement. Anyway, we’re there, and it does do well, but we have challenges, and we have to have our young people, have our students mindful that there are places they don’t go on a certain day. There are things they won’t do on a certain day. And we have a very good relationship with the Israeli Security Forces and the local police. And they will every morning give us a briefing and say do not go to the old city, or of course, we will never go to, for example, most parts of Bethlehem. There’ll be places in Hebron we wouldn’t go. We just, safety and protection for our students is our first concern. But once they’re there, and if they can be safe, we want them to have a great experience in the Holy Land. And so far, it’s working, 25 years of success.
HH: That is amazing. Now I want to contrast that with other parts of the world where no missionaries of any faith can go.
JH: Right.
HH: And I think more doors are closing than are opening across the globe. Do you agree with that?
JH: Yes, and I have two elements of those. Much of that’s in Asia, if you broadly define Asia, and certainly Communist China, and the Middle East. Many of the Islamic nations, we don’t have any missionaries. And if we have any presence at all, it’ll be an ex-pat or somebody at the embassy, or somebody on a corporate assignment. The Bethlehem-based news agency Ma’an has cited a Kuwaiti newspaper report Saturday, that US President Barack Obama
thwarted an Israeli military attack against Iran's nuclear facilities
in 2014 by threatening to shoot down Israeli jets before they could
reach their targets in Iran.
Following Obama's threat, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was reportedly forced to abort the planned Iran attack.
According to Al-Jarida, the Netanyahu government took the decision to strike Iran some time in 2014 soon after Israel had discovered the United States and Iran had been involved in secret talks over Iran’s nuclear program and were about to sign an agreement in that regard behind Israel's back.
The report claimed that an unnamed Israeli minister who has good ties with the US administration revealed the attack plan to Secretary of State John Kerry, and that Obama then threatened to shoot down the Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.
Al-Jarida quoted "well-placed" sources as saying that Netanyahu, along with Minister of Defense Moshe Yaalon, and then-Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, had decided to carry out airstrikes against Iran's nuclear program after consultations with top security commanders.
According to the report, “Netanyahu and his commanders agreed after four nights of deliberations to task the Israeli army's chief of staff, Benny Gantz, to prepare a qualitative operation against Iran's nuclear program. In addition, Netanyahu and his ministers decided to do whatever they could do to thwart a possible agreement between Iran and the White House because such an agreement is, allegedly, a threat to Israel's security.”
The sources added that Gantz and his commanders prepared the requested plan and that Israeli fighter jets trained for several weeks in order to make sure the plans would work successfully. Israeli fighter jets reportedly even carried out experimental flights in Iran's airspace after they managed to break through radars.
Brzezinski's idea
Former US diplomat Zbigniew Brzezinski, who enthusiastically campaigned for Obama in 2008, called on him to shoot down Israeli planes if they attack Iran. “They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?” said the former national security advisor to former President Jimmy Carter in an interview with the Daily Beast.
“We have to be serious about denying them that right,” he said. “If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a 'Liberty' in reverse.’"
Israel mistakenly attacked the American Liberty ship during the Six-Day War in 1967.
Brzezinski was a top candidate to become an official advisor to President Obama, but he was downgraded after Republican and pro-Israel Democratic charges during the campaign that Brzezinski’s anti-Israel attitude would damage Obama at the polls.

The images keep flooding our timelines and news feeds. Men being burned alive or beheaded by masked assassins. Stories of families on the run, fleeing their homes while they are pillaged and burned. Their testimonies hold a familiar chord. "Convert, Pay or Die!"
The persecution of Christians is not a new concept. As early as the first century we read about the Spirit filled boldness of Christians like Stephen and Paul who proclaimed the gospel through beatings and imprisonment, torture and death. We remember Christ's disciples, most of whom were killed just like their master. Roman emperors like Nero, executed Christians in the most ghastly ways, using them as torches to light the evening sky.
In spite of all this adversity, Christianity continued to spread because men and woman, empowered by the Holy Spirit stood strong in the face of certain death; some being delivered and others falling. As I sit here in a 21st century United States, I can't help but wonder when we too will face martyrdom for our faith. On this very day nearly 50 countries have laws that restrict or outlaw Christianity, leading to the harassment, imprisonment and death of those who follow Christ. On this day, in countries like North Korea and China, Christians gather for church underground to avoid being arrested by police. On this day, in Nigeria thousands mourn the deaths of their loved ones killed by Boko Haram in their quest to overthrow the government and create an Islamic state. On this day, in Cuba, Christian ministries continue to risk their freedom as the countries continues to feel the effects of Communist rule.
BUT, on this day, Jesus words in Luke still ring true,
"And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God; but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God." Luke 12:8
I tremble with fear at the thought of facing such incredible atrocities for the sake of Christ. How could I stand firm, staring down the barrel of a gun, the life of my family in the balance? I shudder, thinking of that day. I feel so inadequate. Rest assured, fellow Americans, if it hasn't already, our day WILL COME.
Jesus goes on, providing us comfort and hope for this day. He says,
"When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say." Luke 12:11,12
My only hope in such trying times is the power of the Holy Spirit. He is the X factor. He will give us the strength, words, and vision when our backs are against the wall. Jesus promised the believer many things. Eternal life, abundant life, peace, purpose and forgiveness to name a few. He also promises that they, like him, WILL be betrayed, hated and persecuted, even to death. (Luke 21:12-19)
The Internet has brought close what used to be foreign. Shocking, disturbing worldwide news is available in the palm of our hands. As we see these videos and images we must remember in prayer our brothers and sisters who are suffering for Christ. We must support them in any way we can for they are being witnesses to their oppressors.
Secondly, we must WAKE UP from our slumber, be on guard and stand firm. A house divided against itself cannot stand. Spiritual unity in the body will help us weather the coming storms. We must REMEMBER that as terrible as things are and will become, they are simply signs pointing to one thing; His Imminent Return.
"When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, because your redemption is drawing near." Luke 21:28

THE CORRELATION OF ECLIPSES
Quite interesting. I am going to look more closely at the timing on this:
To the the rest of the World it's business as usual. Their wickedness and corruptions prevents them from believing that they're on the brink of being destroyed! And so they carry on living as if all is normal, just like the Lord said they would!
"...as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all." [Luke 17:26,27]
The Lord destroyed the earth in Noah's Day with water, this time around He will do it with fire!
"...the present heavens [that is, the realm of demons and wicked spirits] and earth, having been preserved, are being kept for fire [which will be spiritual as well as physical] until the Day of Judgment [on the 6th of April 2015 on First-fruits], when ungodly people will be destroyed...However, the Day of the Lord [on the 6th of April on First-fruits] will come “like a thief [to the ungodly].” On that Day the heavens [that is, the realm of demons and wicked spirits] will disappear with a roar [causing these demons and wicked spirits to be cast out and fall on to the earth], the elements will melt and disintegrate, and the earth and everything in it will be burned up. Since everything is going to be destroyed like this, what kind of people should you be? You should lead holy and godly lives, as you wait for the Day of God [on the 6th of April 2015 on First-fruits] and work to hasten its coming. That Day will bring on the destruction of the heavens [currently being occupied by demons and wicked spirits] by fire, and the elements will melt from the heat; but we, following along with his promise, wait for new heavens [that is, a new dwelling place for the glorified saints from the 6th of April 2015 on First-fruits] and a new earth [from the 3rd of April 2022], in which righteousness will be at home..." [2 Pet.3:7,10-13]
When Peter quoted Joel's prophecy, on the Day of Pentecost, to the Men of Judea, and all who dwelt in Jerusalem, he was speaking of events that had already happened, and will happen again in our day!
This enables us to pin point what day Joel was referring to as "the great day of the Lord."
It's the Day of First-fruits!
It's called the great and awesome Day of the Lord because it's the Day the Lord displayed His Omnipotent power in rising from the dead Himself, in a glorified body, and then, on the very same Day, He raised up the Old Testament saints in glorified bodies as well!
One of those saints was the the Prophet Hosea!
For he prophesied:
"After two days [3rd and 4th of April 33 AD], he will revive us; on the third day [5th of April 33 AD], he will raise us up; and we will live in his presence." [Hosea 6:2]
I new there was a blood Moon on Passover, the 3rd of April 33 AD [Day 14 Month 1 Year 33], the Day the Lord was crucified.
What I didn't know was that 15 Days earlier, on the 19th of March 33 AD [Day 28 Month 12 Year 32] there was a Total Solar Eclipse!

"The sun will become dark [19th of March 33 AD] and the moon blood [3rd of April 33 AD] before the great and fearful Day [5th of April 33 AD] of Adonai [the Lord] comes [First-fruits]. ” [Joel 2:31][CJB]
History is about to repeat itself!!!
On the 20th of March 2015 there will be a Total Solar Eclipse. Exactly 15 Days later, on the 4th of April 2015, on Passover, there will be a blood Moon!
"The sun will become dark [20th of March 2015] and the moon blood [4th of April 2015] before the great and fearful Day [6th of April 2015] of Adonai [the Lord] comes [First-fruits]. ” [Joel 2:31][CJB]
I believe this is it!
The Great and awesome Day of the Lord is just weeks away!
"We’re citizens of high heaven! We’re waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, who will transform our earthy bodies into glorious bodies like his own." [Phili.3:20,21][MSG]
"...when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire [on First-fruits]..." [2 Thess.1:7,8]
He will take vengeance,
"...on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that Day, to be glorified in His saints..." [2 Thess.1:8-10]
