I know people have them for various reasons - but by and large, those who have loosened their grip on the Iron Rod, this is one of the things they are touting. My wife and I knew a family whose oldest daughter went full lesbo and mom and dad (a former Bishop - and momma, a full-on Molly Mormon) went down the tatoo path as they rebelled against what is right and good.
To me, tattoos equal a sign of rebellion against God. Not against cultural Mormonism, but a finger in the eye of God and His creations (namely, the human body).

All I can say is that the Maori with their traditional tattoos must have a heckaton of blood cancer going on....
