  1. I see no problem of the events we read about in the BofM took place in North America sometime after Christ came when the people freely traveled about the entire land.

They still do not deal with the narrow neck of land that separated the great waters on the East and the West as well as well as a place to prevent the Lamenites from traveling to the north to avoid being surrounded, as well as to preserve the land northward.
This land to the north was covered with the remains of the Jaredite people and was considered uninhabitable at the time.
I don't see anything in North America that would represent, geographically speaking, the narrow neck of land except for maybe Florida. But the distance is too far from one side to the other. The events that took place in the BofM prior to Christs coming, deal with troops traveling not more that a weeks time to various conflicts from Travel distances within the conflicts that took place would have to be within a relatively small area figuring people are traveling on foot and sometimes through jungles which would really slow travel down.

I don't know who may have done the remains in Central and South America except for the Lamenites and maybe other civilizations on the land. The reason I say this is that, is because totalitarian cultures will build monuments to themselves usually by taxing or enslaving the people.
