JOSEPH BATES NOBLE AND A TESTIMONY OF POLYGAMY

I have a good friend who is a former Bishop from north of Cardston.

He is an amazing orator and a powerful man - but he has a few flaws.  One of them is that he cannot tolerate the concept of plural marriage.  I have gone around and around with him (I am patient with him as I understand many wives cannot deal with this in a telestial setting, even though he is sealed to two women, so that is a moot point....).

My dad is pligger.  After my mother died, he found a nice lady and is sealed to both of them now.  My mom came back after she died with my son who died of SIDS and she had to eat some crow and let him know that it was different over there and that she was suddenly fine with him marrying another (which she never condoned while alive).

So basically - we all need to get over ourselves and accept that the Son of God said he had gotten himself into ample hot water of "doing the works of Abraham"....  What were those??  Herding sheep really well?  Living in a tent really well??  Having a cousin who had incestuous daughters??  What exactly were those works??

Folks, it ain't rocket science.  The thing that set Abraham apart was being married to more than one woman....  Plain and simple!  Get over it.  Jesus did it to fulfill the law perfectly as He said He would do.  When commanded, we need to at least have the notion that we would willingly do the same.  How hard is that?  I likely will never be commanded in that thing - but I sure as heck am willing to do it, if asked to do so.  If not, I/we are damned.  It is arrogance to think/do otherwise.  Just like being baptized.  Not too stubborn to follow Jesus in that - so why not ALL of the law?

So yeah, this friend of mine who stopped by this evening is related to Joseph Noble as a great-great Gpa and has the diaries showing this man stating that he personally married Joseph to the first of many he was sealed to in Nauvoo.  When the RLDS and others tried to expunge that fact from the historical record, this man stood up and put his name on the line and testified he was there when it went down.  My wife and I are trying to get a copy of that journal so we can swat down people who are deniers.  People, who quite frankly will not qualify for terrestrial glory because they are blinded by the craftiness of men or the pride of the world (ashamed that this is part of their history).  Get over yourselves.  One of them is a key player in the Cardston temple.  And, if I had the authority, I would call him in and have him ex'd over his views.  Supposedly, he is a doctrinarian.  He and many others like him are performing a heavy dose of historical revisionism.  I look forward to them being purged from the Church along with the apostates and so many others.  It is as bad as it was back in Jesus' day with all of the ravening wolves leading the flock astray.  Isaiah had something to say about them.  Their day is coming shortly - and it will not be pretty for them.  They are slicksters and I feel like I need to take a shower after listening to their smooth words.

A generation of vipers shall not escape the damnations of hell.  It will be a sweet time, when Joseph can return to the farm and correct many things:

Joseph Smith's Last Dream
Joseph Smith's last dream occurred on June 26, 1844 while at Carthage Jail. He would be killed the next day on June 27.  "I was back in Kirtland, Ohio, and thought I would take a walk out by myself, and view my old farm, which I found grown up with weeds and brambles, and altogether bearing evidence of neglect and want of culture. I went into the barn, which I found without floor or doors, with the weather - boarding off, and was altogether in keeping with the farm. While I viewed the desolation around me, and was contemplating how it might be recovered from the curse upon it, there came rushing into the barn a company of furious men, who commenced to pick a quarrel with me. The leader of the party ordered me to leave the barn and farm, stating it was none of mine, and that I must give up all hope of ever possessing it. I told him the farm was given me by the Church, and although I had not had any use of it for some time back, still I had not sold it, and according to righteous principles it belonged to me or the Church. He then grew furious and began to rail upon me, and threaten me, and said it never did belong to me nor to the Church. I then told him that I did not think it worth contending about, that I had no desire to live upon it in its present state, and if he thought he had a better right I would not quarrel with him about it but leave; but my assurance that I would not trouble him at present did not seem to satisfy him, as he seemed determined to quarrel with me, and threatened me with destruction of my body. While he was thus engaged, pouring out his bitter words upon me, a rabble rushed in and nearly filled the barn, drew out their knives, and began to quarrel among themselves for the premises, and for a moment forgot me, at which time I took the opportunity to walk out of the barn about up to my ankles in mud. When I was a little distance from the barn, I heard them screeching and screaming in a very distressed manner, as it appeared they had engaged in a general fight with their knives. While they were thus engaged, the dream or vision ended" (Joseph Smith, History of the Church, 6:609–10)The old "dilapidated barn" is Joseph Smith's own history.

Here is a book on Joseph Bates Noble that would be enlightening to many of these slicksters (if they would dare read it):

Just wait - many things are on the short count.  We will yet see a great division and purging within the next few short years.  Those who are weak and cannot endure sound doctrine, will not stand.  Most, because they do NOT know their doctrine, will fall as they will succumb to the confusion.

These are hard things to bear, but it will be so.

I look forward to the time when people see that the events of Visions of Glory were indeed not a figment of one man's vain imagination, but were legitimate and real.  I had an experience in the hardware store today that really hacked me off.  We are in an awful state - the pharisaical spirit is alive and well in Cardston.  It is going to be a brutal wake-up call here shortly.  Many here would call for the crucifixion of the Savior if He were to appear here and teach perfect doctrine.  I would love to see that - and likely will once people have gone through a threshing of spirit.  It will be interesting, to say the least.
