SIGNS OF THE SECOND COMING OF THE LORD - JOSEPH SMITH

Let me say here that many of these signs are slated to come to the world before the "Great and Dreadful Day of the Lord", which is the one where fire comes and consumes the earth.  Many of them will come during the seven years of God's chastisement when the earth gets pretty much totally trashed.  This is what the seven years of food storage was to be put up for.  The local consuming fire over in Jerusalem when He saves His people there will be a local event and not the "big finale" that is directed at the whole earth.  Sorry, too close to the 4th, not to use that term......
