THIS......

I get hammered by some because I am "stepping out" and calling out the obvious.  The wicked always end up with the usual, "I haven't heard it from the Prophet, so I am not worried about it."

To which I always reply, "Must we be commanded in ALL things??".  Fact is, we have been - but we have not collectively listened and have put the inspired counsel at naught.  For this, we will collectively pay a high toll.

Here is something I found on FB that nails my feelings down perfectly:

The Prophet didn't warn the people of Venezuela that they'd be facing martial law, food shortages, rioting, murder and imprisonment. He didn't tell them they would be hunting dogs and cats in the streets just to put food on their tables. But here they are, living those exact things. The Prophet didn't warn the people in Fort McMurray to have their 72 hour kits ready, yet here they are, evacuated with all of their earthly possessions gone. Let this be a lesson to all of those who say they're waiting for a warning from the Prophet. The prophets have been warning us for over a century now. We must be prepared. We must be ready to depart and start anew. We must be prepared to provide for ourselves, our families and our neighbors. Let's spend less time perusing forums for the latest dream or vision and spend more time figuring out what to sell in order to have funds to prepare. Let's spend less time watching TV or running kids to soccer practice and spend more time in the temple, doing family history and visiting our neighbors. Let's lift up the feeble hand and provide succor to those in need. There is only today for tomorrow we know not the circumstances in which we will be living.

  3. Our prophets do warn us - I am so tired of hearing that we aren't being warned by our prophets. We are WARNED.

  4. Thanks so much for this post. This is the reply I have been looking for for those that scoff at my preparations for what's coming but more importantly for the reply to the enemy of my soul discouraging me from continuing my preparations.

  5. Heber J Grant said nothing about Pearl Harbor and Gordon B Hinckley said nothing about 9/11.

  7. Let's spend more time becoming familiar with and listening to that still small voice,(the ONLY thing that can save us).
    Jesus Christ.
There will be NO call out by our prophet or by the church !
Have we forgot who's church this is ?
If you are to be led - it will be Christ who will lead you by his Holy Spirit. He will do the "calling out" if there
is one. We need to come to know his voice if we are to be
led and gather with others to a place of safety.

  8. Jesus Christ is the ONLY one we need to look to.

We need to put our faith in Christ - and not in the church and it's leaders.
It's CHRIST'S church and we need to look to him
and have his spirit with us to guide and direct us.
He's the one that died for us and the ONLY one that can save us.

You can't live or be saved on borrowed light.
If you follow the prophet or the GA's of the church
expecting to be saved, you will be lost.
You can not follow someone into heaven.

    The prophet can't save you.
Going to church won't save you.
Have you forgotten who's church this is !
JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY ONE that can save YOU !
Seek to know him ! the one that died for YOU !

    John 14:6
"I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

    2 Nephi 25:26
"And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ,
we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ,
and we write according to our prophecies,
that our children may know to what source
they may look for a remission of their sins."

    2 Nephi 31:20
    "Wherefore, ye must press forward
    with a steadfastness in Christ,
having a perfect brightness of hope,
and a love of God and of all men.
Wherefore, if ye shall press forward,
feasting upon the word of Christ,
and endure to the end, behold,
    thus saith the Father:
    Ye shall have eternal life."

    2 Nephi 32
3 "Angels speak by the power of the Holy Ghost; wherefore, they speak the words of Christ. Wherefore, I said unto you, feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do."

    3 Nephi 11
36 "And thus will the Father bear record of me, and the Holy Ghost will bear record unto him of the Father and me; for the Father, and I, and the Holy Ghost are one."
