This painting pretty much captures it. In the old days, it was Nero and a fiddle.
Today, it is golf shoes and mushroom shaped fire:

Fools mock - but they shall mourn. I can only hope that he is able to enjoy his demise slowly and that he and his are caught up in it and do not utterly escape. I know he would delight to see the USA burn due to his hatred of all that is good and right - but it would be no good if he escaped the destruction. I never pray for the devil's success - nor should you. When someone is pursuing the devil's agenda, I pray for their demise. Never for their success.
The "pray for your enemies that despitefully use you", applies to those who despitefully use you in ignorance. Those who willfully used Christ in his day; that generation (40 years later) were brought to their knees and starved and burned in the most cruel fashion. Josephus recorded the event and what was seen brought most to weep over the fate of those who knowingly did what they did. Those that Christ forgave on the cross (the soldiers who were just following orders to carry out yet just another crucifixion for the state), bore no scars or malice from the event. The excess - bore a horrible price. Same thing applied to those who were responsible for the deaths of Joseph and Hyrum. Incorrectly applying scripture and cause and effect will only lead to false conclusions and much worse. Judge not unrighteous judgment, lest ye be judged UNRIGHTEOUSLY. We MUST judge all things in the world in which we live (water that is safe to drink, when to plant our crops, whom we should take for friend and whom we should keep at a safe distance). In the beginning, we had to judge. All here with bodies, used correct measuring sticks and judged correctly. We will yet pass through another constricted point in which we will be asked to weigh something in the balance that will cause (if it were possible) the deception of the very elect of God. So we must have wisdom, discernment and be possessors of righteous judgment. Otherwise, we will fall.
May we all have the light of Christ to use righteous judgment in the coming weeks, months and years.
