Folks, I will take some damage on this one by some trolls (soft and fuzzy as they may be), but this needs to be said. I had alot of people show interest in more info on the Dewey second coming vid I posted earlier, so I am going to oblige.
This fellow (in the vid) is teaching correct doctrine at this juncture in his presentation:

I have clearly said to all the "head in the sand ostriches" out there - who always pull the "faith/hope/charity" card out when I present them with a simple line of logic and some basic scriptural foundation, and tell me that we should not dabble in "deep, dark doctrine" BS....... That phrase always just fries me - people are just intellectually lazy in this Church (not all, but most). Those who will not extend their gaze up to see what is obvious, will likely spend some time in the post-mortal pokey - most likely classed with the unprofitable servants who chose not to see things as they are because they were wooed and distracted too much by the things of the world.
We will know the EXACT hour when Christ comes to Jerusalem. EXACTLY 84 hours (3.5 days) after the two servants are killed and remain dead in the streets. God does things EXACTLY as He states He will do - otherwise, he will CEASE TO BE GOD. What He has said, that I have quoted for years with hesitation (yes, I have repeatedly taught false doctrine - but always felt that I was in error each time I said it), is that NO MAN KNOWS THE HOUR WHEN THE END OF THE EARTH WILL COME (end of Millennium coming). God has held that in reserve for the time when all the children of the earth have been welded together in one great family through a massive genealogical effort along with the attendant temple work. That HAS to be done between now and the end of the 1000 year period (along with the little season). It is dependent on us (agency involved here) and only the Father will know when the massive work is completed and all of His 2/3 who can/will be saved, have had the opportunity. Only a God (the Father of us all) can make that determination - and I would guess the reason that not even the Son knows that hour. Also, it will be the hour when the people of the earth who had 1,000 years of bliss (yet blow it once again) will receive the final judgment. We have had a pretty good shot this time around with a fit and a start thanks to Joseph Smith, but the gospel being on the earth for the next 1,000 years and then the rejection of that, will make a Just God quite angry and there will be a SPECIAL judgment at that time for the whole earth (prophetic dualism in Revelations, etc).
So there you have it - and please call for my recommend if you care to, because I have just cleared up one of the most frustrating doctrinal faux paz that exists today amongst 99% of the membership of the Church. We will be judged as a body for that little detail - for not being close enough to the Spirit to discern the times/seasons and the scriptures correctly and to get that right. In many instances, we err because we are led by blind guides (Gospel Doctrine teachers, etc). I aim to set that record straight. I thank this Dewey fellow for helping me to pull my head out of my kiester after all these years.....
This was an awesome video. Cleared a lot of thing up for me. And oh by the way! Obamanation birthday this next year falls on the ninth of Av! Not a good day for the Jews! Take that into account with all the blood moons and Dewey Burton stuff it's all unfolding. Also another interesting note the Navoo temple (2002) was dedicated on the 12th of Tammuz (Look it up very significant fast). In addition, Joseph Smith received the plates from Moroni on the first day of the Feast of trumpets! And the Kirtland temple was dedicated on the 10th of Nisan. And Elijah, Moses, Elias restored the keys on the 17th of Nisan (last day of Passover)
ReplyDelete"No one knows the Hour or the day"
ReplyDeleteThe Short of it:
From his book "Signs In the Heavens" by Avi Ben Mordechai, he devotes a chapter to explaining what "no man knows the day or hour" truly means from a rabbinical Hebraic perspective. It is a figure of speech, an idiom.
Christians over the centuries have separated themselves from their Hebraic roots causing the misunderstanding of key Jewish biblical idioms.
Chapter Five described the annual Jewish Festival of Trumpets or Rosh HaShanah - the first day of the seventh month. A few themes linked to this Jewish festival are resurrection, repentance, kingship, corronation and a marriage feast. This chapter shows another theme and convincing proof that Rosh HaShanah is not only the start of "The Day of the Lord" (Millennium), but is also the day of the resurrection! It has to do with the moon and its 29-day cycle of renewal.
The subject of our discussion is the new moon (beginning of the new month) and figures of speech, realize the phrase, "Of that day and hour no man knows" refers to the sanctification or setting apart of the new moon. Without this sanctification, the Jews had no way of determining God's "appointed times" or moedim (month). As soon as the new moon was announced, the first day of the month began. Once the beginning of the new month was established, the festivals and weekly Shabbats for the upcoming month were sanctified for observance. In Hebrew, those observances have always been called "appointed times" or moedim, literally "a sacred and set time".
No one in Israel could plan for the first day of the seventh month Tishri, called Yom Teruah or the Feast of Trumpets (also called Rosh HaShanah). When they knew how many days to count to a festival, that would be easy. But:
HOW COULD THEY PLAN FOR A FESTIVAL THAT THEY DID NOT KNOW AT WHAT DAY OR HOUR IT WOULD PUBLICALLY BE ANNOUNCED AND THUS BEGIN?
Of course, anyone could look up into the twilight or early morning sky and, if they looked hard enough, see the new moon or at least its "horns". And certainly an astute observer knew when about 29- days were completed since the previous Rosh Chodesh. But recall, ONLY THE SANHEDRIN NASSI had the authority to proclaim the first of Tishri, which was already established as a technical procedure. Once proclaimed, the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh HaShanah) commenced. Until that public announcement by the Nassi, everyone had to wait before they could begin the observance of the festival. No one could begin the festival beforehand! Thus, we can more clearly see the analogy Jesus made with His words: "But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" was in regards to this important festival of Rosh HaShanah.
