EPHRAIM'S DAYS HAVE COME TO AN END?

I thought this gem from LDSFF to be very interesting.  I do virtually no deep dive studies on the Old Testament, so I rely on people who are a whole lot smarter to do the thinking for me.....

         Burden of Damascus

I remember learning that the great prophecy leading up to the Great Flood was that it was to occur after the death of Methuselah. God was merciful and Methuselah was the oldest living human at 969 or 960(Jasher). Methuselah means "his death shall bring"

[By the way if you take all the names of the Patriarchs from Adam to Noah, the names prophesy of Christ. The names together read:

Adam = man
Seth = appointed, placed, set
Enosh = mortal, human
Kenan = sorrow, low, humble
Mahalalel = blessed God, praise of god
Jared = descent, shall come down, descending
Enoch = dedicated, teaching
Methuselah = his death shall bring
Lamech = despairing
Noah = comfort, rest

Man (is) appointed mortal sorrow; (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest."]

Could there be a parallel prophecy for the Last Days. Except this time the prophecy involves the oldest city in the world and not the oldest man.

Isaiah 17:1-3 warns:

"Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim,"

I'm not sure what this means for Damascus or Ephraim but it doesn't sound good. Could the destruction of Damascus be a prophetic marker like the death of Methuselah?

I cannot help but think of the Patriarchal Blessing given to Ephraim by his grandfather, Israel (Jacob) in Genesis 49:

 22 aJoseph is a fruitful bbough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose cbranches drun over the wall:
 23 The archers have sorely grieved him, and shot at him, and hated him:
 24 But his bow abode in strength, and the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob; (from athence is the bshepherd, the cstone of Israel:)
 25 Even by the God of thy father, who shall help thee; and by the aAlmighty, who shall bless thee with blessings of heaven above, blessings of the deep that lieth under, blessings of the breasts, and of the bwomb:
 26 The ablessings of thy father have prevailed above the blessings of my progenitors unto the butmost bound of the everlasting chills: they shall be on the head of dJoseph, and on the crown of the head of him that was separate from his brethren.
 The archers now have us in range - and the shooting most likely will begin once Damascus falls.  We have systematically been going after the "rogue" nations that will not comply with the demands of the international banksters of the New World Odor; Libya, Syria, Iran and North Korea.  You can know that we are close to the edge of the cliff when we are again heading into North Korea.  Their arrows are now in range according to this report:

I do not want to sound fatalistic, but I think we are sliding along at such a rate that I do not think we can stop the slide before we plunge off the cliff.  Our current political environment is such that I believe our plunge is inevitable.
