ARE YOU FOR KILLING THE UNBORN? R U 4 86?

Ever wonder what's in a name??

Here is one. I am from the graduating class of '86. I could never figure out why someone would put the following on the banner in front of our class photo, "WE ARE LOOKING VERY "'86"." What did it mean anyway? I have also "wondered after" the hidden meaning of RU486 - the abortion pill the French so graciously gave us to help us into a moral and population decline just like they are in - that comes with another culture coming in and filling the vacuum; ours the Hispanics and theirs the Muslims. Both instances with radical elements hell-bent on their destruction (intifada and la raca). The Russians (using abortion as a form of birth control) D&C'd themselves right into a 20% population reduction by 2050. Its a national disaster - that they, themselves have brought upon their own heads.

Anyway, I thought this was interesting stuff on what most likely is the meaning behind the death drug which causes spontaneous abortions when taken shortly after conception:

A Straight Dope Classic from Cecil's Storehouse of Human Knowledge
Where does the term "86" come from?
March 9, 1984

Dear Cecil:

A bunch of us were wondering where the term "86'd" comes from. We know about "can it" and "deep six" ... but what about "86"?

— Scott K., Los Angeles

Cecil replies:

Cecil presumes you are using the term "86" to mean "to put the kibosh on," generally said of some unusually retarded scheme or idea, such as anything thought up by the sales department, the New York office, or that turkey who's angling for your job.

The term derives via a roundabout route from a number code allegedly in wide use in 1920s diners and soda fountains. 86 supposedly meant, "We're all out of the item ordered," said by the cook or some other honcho to a soda jerk or similar minion.

Why 86 and not, say, the square root of 2? The most plausible explanation I've heard is that 86 is rhyming slang for "nix."

By extension 86 came to mean, "Don't serve anything to the indicated party because he is either broke or a creep." (Presumably you see how a code would come in handy in such situations.)

Bartenders later used the term in connection with any person deemed too hammered to serve additional drinks to, and eventually it came to have the all-purpose meaning we assign to it today.

Other lunch counter code numbers (I rely here on the Morris Dictionary of Word and Phrase Origins) include 82, I need a glass of water (80 and 81 at times meant the same thing); 99, the manager is on the prowl; 98, ditto for the assistant manager; 33, gimme a cherry-flavored Coke; 55, I crave a root beer; 19, I yearn for a banana split; and 87-1/2, check out the babe over yonder.

So, to recap:

ARE YOU FOR 'PUTTING THE KAIBOSH ON IT (LIFE)'?

ARE YOU FOR 'HAVING AN EMPTY SHELF/FRIDGE/WOMB/ETC'?

ARE YOU FOR 'NIXING (LIFE)'?

So, the answer to my question, which took an abortion drug and a curious mind to finally get to, is "WE ARE LOOKING VERY "FINISHED (WITH HIGH SCHOOL)"". I may have been the last one to get that in the entire graduating class even though I was the valedictorian.

So, the meaning of this riddle for you is this: Will you idly let people have the "right" to go around killing innocent life that cannot otherwise defend itself, or will you get damned mad about it and do something - at the very least opposing and villifying the concept at every turn and at every conversation where it is brought up?? To quote our Lord and Master, "A generation of vipers shall not escape the damnations of hell!". After losing a young precious one, my tongue will not be stayed until its silenced by force. This issue is critical to my salvation and future. The same is true of how this will affect our country. For thirty years we have let this go on - thirty years and 30-50 million potential lives. Its the devil's work folks. We will pay individually and collectively for our varying degrees of apathy and complicity in that holocaust of holocausts.

ARE YOU FOR KILLING?

God help us all!
