JESSE KNIGHT AND CONSECRATED LIVING

Wow!  Just had to share this amazing story of Consecrated living (that will be a requirement to make it into the Millennium):

Jesse Knight had departed the faith and then he had a visionary experience that led him back and he covenanted that he would not consume his wealth upon his lusts, but would use it to bless the less fortunate.  And he did.  I studied in a building at BYU that was named after him.  He was instrumental in making the BY Academy a go during a critical phase of it's existence.

Raymond is a "rival" of Cardston in that there were two proposed sites for the temple for the Canadian Saints.  Cardston won out.  I am sure Jesse Knight had something to do with this, but EJ Wood held a little more clout or the Lord simply wanted it closer in and away from the surrounding Gentile influences when times became difficult.

An interesting story that did not make it into the article linked above, was that Jesse Knight, who followed the outcropping of ore bearing rock underground, was diligent until it led him to a cavern of basically pure silver (galena ore).  It was not a vein of ore bearing rock, it was a full on cavern the size of a building whose walls were covered with it.  The only thing I have heard of that is similar (at least in silver), was a similar anomaly in the Comstock Lode.

When we understand the wealth that was taken out of the hills in Utah, it boggles the mind.  There were enough tunnels in the Park City complex to go from SLC to Dallas (if they were placed end to end).  Then there is the Lost Rhoades Mine in Utah.  The wealth that was taken out of there was used to pay for the building of the Salt Lake temple.  God held it in reserve for this day.

What will come forth for the building of the New Jerusalem temple will boggle the mind.  It will come from Cuzco, Peru to Central America and even some from N. America such as the Lost Rhoades Mine.  It is all layed up in store for that much-anticipated day.  I look forward to it.
