This is just a thought but one that came very strong to my mind and my heart just before April Conference this year. In fact it was so strong I was looking for proof during conference. This is the thought: "What if the Prophet, First Presidency and a certain number of the 12 were actually being held hostage and were under duress. What if they are speaking coded messages to us. Would I be able to perceive the messages? Maybe they are not calling the shots! PUN intended!"
When nothing makes sense, my wife's mind will do extreme gymnastics to try to get things to fit. Me? Not so much. I am a straight shooter. "It is what it is", leaves my lips alot.... The easiest solution is often the correct one.
I really feel that we have several Judas's (Judi??) within the ranks of upper leadership. My favorite peeps feel that it must also be the case. I pray occasionally that they will be exposed and that their folly will be made manifest. Elder Uchtdorf's snafu with the demonrats last November was telling in his case. NO ONE, I mean NO ONE can profess to be aligned with the Kingdom of God and overlook the glaringly naked and disgusting emperor in the room in the form of the demonrats. Abortion. Corruption. Extortion. Murder. Gadiantonesque behavior. So what if they are the part of the immigrants (what people say to justify the leftists support of them. Well, they are just trying to destabilize this country and buy votes with our tax dollars. They are corrupt as hell!! No redemption there - especially after throwing more money at their Georgia campaigns which swayed power to them in the Senate to take away our religious rights and our freedom of speech and right to bear arms, plus so much else.
They are no friend of the Constitution. When I find out someone is a rabid lefty, I just walk away. It is kind of like trying to befriend and redeem a fallen minion of satan. Who would even go there?? I have no patience, time nor resources for that. When they come into my sphere of influence and gravitate towards good principle, I may direct time/resources towards them; but not until then. I understand there are Sauls out there, but for the most part, it is wasted breath....
So, if I know we have lefties as watchmen on the tower? Two of them (that we know of and one who is former CFR)? I struggle severely with any words that will fall from their mouths. Drunkards of Ephraim.
We truly need to Hear Him and put our trust in Him ONLY! Anything else is folly. At a very minimum, we need to try the words of the Prophets and those put over us to shepherd the flock.
To address the comment above, I cannot help but think about the statement made to a guy I would put my trust in that President Benson (who was a far right winger like myself), said that the greatest wolves were in the church office building. My wife also believes that he was silenced in his waning years after speaking out on the message of the Book of Mormon. Our last real prophetic warning from the heavens. Some of our last truly meaty doctrine.
And what if there were a plot to blow up the church office building or conference while it was in session. What if it was allowed to be foiled - but it was quite clear that succeeding was just a matter of time and that thousands or tens of thousands would be killed and injured if the top leadership did not play along with a coercive threat. This IS how these sacks of excrement work. I have had to deal with some lower-level players and they are real pieces of work. And I have turned it over to God and had a great time watching them get their arses kicked hard. What if we, as a Church or the leadership of the Church tried to turn to the arm of the flesh as a crutch to combat this one world conspiracy and we lost our souls and were struck down as a vivid shaft of lightning for not relying on the Lord? What if we put millions of God's faithful/elect on a bad trajectory because we (as Wilford Woodruff did in 1890), made a bad turn instead of relying on God (yes I believe he was poisoned when he went to woo the banksters at the Bohemian Grove in SF when we were in dire financial straits due to the effects of the Edmunds Tucker Act). In the days of Brigham, God provided gold from the Uintahs to finance the Salt Lake Temple. Why would He not have given us an out in 1890? When the US Marshals rode against the Logan Temple, God provided Nephite warriors to defend against the anti-polygamists and to protect the records. Why would He not do it again? It will only be according to our faith. My instincts and basic logic tell me that we simply are faithless and no longer merit these things. The blame collectively lies squarely with us.
In the end, we have become weak and reliant on the arm of the flesh. I rarely hear blessings of healing that are given with the power of God. We should see scores of Nephi's with a fulness of Priesthood who command the elements - and they obey. This is where we need to be, but we slip ever closer to the abyss. In the end, it will take the One Mighty and Strong to pull us back from the brink before the Savior comes. I guess we will just have to wait and await the mighty day of the Lord.
Firstly, get a grip! Then go read the wheat and the tears - stop blaming the brethren because the Lord told them to let the tears grow with the wheat.
ReplyDeleteThe owner of the field said that an enemy must have planted the tares. When the worker asked if the tares should be pulled up and destroyed, the owner said no. If the tares were weeded out, he explained, a lot of the wheat would be destroyed, too, since they were growing side by side.
So the wheat and the tares were both allowed to grow until harvest time. Then the owner told the reapers to first gather and store the wheat safely in the barn. After that was finished, they were to gather the tares into bundles and burn them.
This blog is getting depressing. It is almost used to daily bash the brethren and to show your lack of faith in them. No they are not under duress. They are following what the Lord tells them to do so the church can fulfill its mission. You think you have everything figured out nd you dont. they see the whole picture you dont. Uchdorft i think did the democratic donation to to take a target off the church, same thing with the prophet and the shot. They are laying crumbs so when the intesnse persecution starts they can use that as evidence the church is not political. The prophet gave everyone in church a blessing that Covid 19 would not hurt them if they were appointed unto death. You are very pridefull and need to cut them a break. I will not get the shot. they begged us to get revelation ourselves, i have and the spirit also says they are doing what the Lord leads them to do. It is like Abraham and Sarah in Egypt.
