I taught this principle liberally on my mission:
Regarding women healing the sick, Brother Joseph said, "there could be no evil in it, if God gave His sanction by healing; that there could be no more sin in any female laying hands on and praying for the sick, than in wetting the face with water; it is no sin for anybody to administer that has faith, or if the sick have faith to be healed by their administration. TPJS 225
What do you suppose that looks like?
ReplyDeleteBack in Joseph Smith's day when women went into labor the women would lay hands on her head and administer to her. I believe they also anointed her with oil. I have never thought about anointing with oil, and don't intend to. Blessing to heal, however, to me, is like a prayer you would offer only with your hands gently laying on the person's head. It gives you more connection. It's powerful.
