What I was hearing in Conference is not what I am hearing from Sarah "Hucklebee" (the old Whitehouse Press Sec). One is stating that this is a COMPLETE farce, and one is stating that we need to be good global citizens and snap in line to the Covid hoax.... I sense the division coming on of profound magnitude. This division was talked about in Conference. I like straight talk. No punches. This is why I really like DHO and the rest of the Old Guard of Bensonite fashion. I really do not give a rip what other people think of me - though I do understand the need for some form of public opinion to be positive when it comes to missionary work; one of the main thrusts of an evangelical Church where Christ commanded us to go into the world 2 by 2 and spread the Good News.
I get the feeling that President Oaks and Elder Bednar think this is a bunch of hooey and then there are moderates and then those who feel like the One World Gubmint may be a good thing. And thus the counsel to stick with the Prophet and a majority of the Brethren.
I will say this here: Elder Christensen (one of my favorite speakers and people in general) has been quite active at the World Religious gatherings and there are tons of snaps with the False Prophet (this last Pope) and at Agenda 2030 forums for religion, etc. The Church is so intent on cozying up with the World, that we sometimes forget that Prophets of old time have taken a rock or rocks to the head for the Good Word. At times, it just seems like we have rocks IN our heads.... I am sure I must have missed the thrust of his talk - which I kind of got at the end, that it may have been a jab at the world's way of handling things (satanically, I might add), by way of Agenda 2030. I do NOT submit. Nor will I ever....
I need to hurry up and get my TR renewed, because I may just struggle with some of the questions asked in that interview, with my local leaders counseling one of my close friends that he just needs to calm down, that there really is nothing to worry about with the current state of affairs.....
When I understand that all is NOT well in Zion or anywhere else for that matter, I get kind of pissed off. Especially when I know that Mrs. Sols Cuardisto said the Elders needed to quickly and quietly prepare for what is coming, and that we have been inoculated in the Book of Mormon against the "All is Well in Zion" mindset, for the folly that it is. When you and many people are looking for leadership, and there is NONE or very little to be had. Just a "go along to get along" attitude. At some point, I am thinking we need a Section 85 intervention.... When, as a leader in the home, your attitudes fly in the face of just about EVERY moderate out there since President Benson and your kids openly declare that you are a little off (compared to the mushy in the middles....), then the gloves come off. One of the mind-sets is correct. Either my Holy Ghost is telling me one thing, or He has two messages; one for me and one for much of the "All is Well in Zion" leadership (not the top, but the "middle managers"). Yes, I consider most managers and NOT ecclesiastical leaders - because they are not leading, they are managing to a set of guidelines or books and most are learned and excellent business leaders. Many, if not most, are blind shepherds who have NO idea how to properly lead the flock, nor where to lead them to. Most lack gifts, other than how to operate in Babylon.... Where gifts of the Spirit are lacking, you have no vision. Where you have no vision, you have no true leadership. Just empty suits.
To me, this is supremely distressing. The leaders should be the Iohanni Wolfgramm types, but he was a simple carpenter and janitor and not "fit" for the position because he did not have letters associated with his name, even though he could raise someone from the dead, whom a Dr. could not save. I will take a humble carpenter or Carpenter's Son with no over any Phd any day!! Titles or positions do not matter. Content of character and largeness of spirit do! It is not the car you are driving, but the destination you are headed to, that counts.
Thus the purge. Either I am off base and we are on the right path, or Isaiah and Nephi were on track (along with most others who ended up getting hunted down for their words) and I am feeling what they felt right before calamity struck. And it will strike - and soon. I think we are in the final year window where the sorrows start (the middle of the second seven year period starts in the spring of 2021), at the end of the half hour of silence.
Alrighty then. Rant off. Over and out. Now I am going to go back and carefully read the talks to make sure I did not misinterpret them.
On a positive note, there was MUCH great counsel given and a few talks that will be a perennial favorites. I liked the talk which directed the hot heads like me to de-couple from the ceiling and trust in the Lord. Bar-kokba got nowhere in his quest to maintain/regain control from the Romans back in the day. All his bluster did was get a ton of people killed and driven to the four quarters of the earth. There is great metaphor in that. And maybe - just maybe, we are there with the one world gubmint. And we will have to rely on an intervention either of Jesus or the One Mighty and Strong, because we are told to NOT submit to anything that is forced like a vaccine or chip. Anything that gives ultimate control and power to satan and binds us over to the evil side. Our very salvation is at stake.
Don't go with worldly facts over the vastly greater wisdom of the leadership of the Lord's church.
ReplyDeleteWhat did you want to happen? Calling out Covid as a hoax? Warning about the secret combinations of evil men? An announcement that it was time to build the city of Zion, or that the Second Coming of the Lord is imminent (which I think they were actually saying on both counts)?
Trust the prophet. He knows what he's doing. In doing so, you trust the Lord and Heavenly Father. "Let God prevail." The First Presidency and Quorum of the 12 are on the watchtower; they know what they're doing and they won't lead us wrong, they'll lead us along the path that will keep us safe. They're clearly concerned about our spiritual status more than things like one-world government takeovers. TRUST THEM, even if you don't agree with some things that are said and done and the timing of other things. Don't fall into the trap of over-questioning. "Let God prevail." I for one feel very inspired, uplifted, and motivated by the messages of Conference. Big times are ahead!
This is EXACTLY my response! Thank you for saying it so well.
DeleteDid you mean Elder Christofferson, not Christensen?
ReplyDeleteDid you mean Elder Christofferson, not Christensen?
ReplyDeleteTo be honest I saw Elder Christofferson's talk of dealing a scalpel to the ideas of Agenda 2030. Yes, we all want a sustainable society, but a sustainable society will depend on our ability to put God first in front of everything else, that is, letting God prevail. Without this, no society is sustainable, and the Book of Mormon is VERY clear that the people of this land must worship the Lord Jesus Christ, or be swept away from the land.
ReplyDeleteInteresting for sure. I checked the CDC's site & downloaded their YTD spreadsheet. They claim a higher 2020 # [through September 9] than what Sarah used (not saying that the CDC hasn't changed the #s, but that is what they say now) such that we're on track for ~3.1M by the end of 2020.
DeleteI am also trying to reconcile all this: why not stronger warnings from the 12, etc. It could be that the NWO is like a tidal wave, meaning the hand is dealt and the time to thwart it is past, so a more pragmatic (judo) approach is necessary. I hope that is the case & that our next steps indeed need to be spiritual (and avoid the violence); time will tell.
I share your concerns, though, and can't help but utter "The Lord delayeth His coming..." I pray we aren't led astray.
I 100% agree with what Bryan Dorman is saying here.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the numbers of deaths per year - I'm not sure Sarah H.S. is the best source of information, but if the numbers are close to the real numbers of deaths our social distancing, mask wearing, and hand washing has done much to prevent the standard flu deaths, along with all other infectious diseases that spread person to person. Go team! It still does not mean that Covid is a hoax or that it does not injure/kill many people both in the US and worldwide. Have we politicized it like crazy yes, have people put out lots of bogus information - boy howdy, is it real - it is and it is something to be prepared for and measures should be taken to prevent the illness.

Getting numbers from Sarah H.S. is a little concerning but even if they are true it may be due to the various precautions that have been taken to protect against COVID. These have dramatically reduced the number of flu cases in the US and other common infections that are spread person to person. It's understood that politically this has become the new football and there have obviously been some erroneous facts and statements put out there, but the disease itself is serious and has caused injury and death to a lot of people both in the US and worldwide.
ReplyDeleteI see a problem when the Church is ruled by policy over revelation. For a very long time, to avoid involvement in politics, The principals of the Constitution have been ignored. A lack of support of these ideals have only fueled the infatuation with socialism and communism in so many. A good example as below.
ReplyDeleteProf. Frank W. Fox. taught American History at Brigham Young University until his retirement in 2006, and, along with colleague Clayne Pope, created the university’s American Heritage Program, under the guidance of the First Presidency.
Fox calls himself a conservative Mormon, venerates the Founders, Calls our form of government a Democracy, calls Trump a lier, a wannabe dictator, demoralizing America, considers Trump followers as mindless supporters, claiming Trump violated the laws of the country, thinks he has the GOP cowering under some unknown pressure, thinks Trump has some special relationship with Vladimir Putin.
Although he has no evidence of any of these aspersions. They have all been proven false. These are all talking points of the leftist government media complex. I would say one would have to be completely without the spirit to believe these things when the evidence is just to the opposite. In response, the GOP House and Senate do very little to support the President when he is being unfairly attacked, except for a few, occasionally.
And the real flag on the field of play, is parroting the establishment media, calling our government a democracy. It is a Constitutional Republic, meaning the the Constitution prevents all these imagined abuses Trump is supposed to be blamed for. Truth be known, if I might diverge, our government is a Corporatocracy where big multinational industry and finance control our politicians and media complex. But so many of these people do not pay attention to anything than that does not fit their fantasy. Because that is all this is, a fantasy, an image established in the mind to deceive.
We live in that day where even the very elect are deceived, I will say, routinely and leadership of our Church are not immune, they are people too with their own ignorance and pride. The article of Fox's was of course much longer with much etherial, superficial sophistry. Point is I see so many very active members of the Church fall for this tripe, that is very disturbing to me, many of these are letter of the law type members. I wonder are they attached to the image of piety, yet they seem ready to attach themselves to twisted reasoning of the world, as long as it doesn't directly interrupt their orthodoxy and still satisfy a need to be like "The World" as possible. After all they do have the current Church Leadership as an example.
I have to qualify my statements that President Nelson and the Apostles hold the keys and authority to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Those occur through ordinations. It doesn't mean they are all knowing. They are required to search and study as much as the rest of us. We think that maybe our moral, pious nature should be sufficient to make us open to revelation on demand - without the work, without an open heart and mind and the time necessary to assimilate empirical information. John Koyle's story exposes the frailties of Church leadership. They simply would not give him audience, when we know Joseph Smith would have immediately given any such person, his ear. Why should the educated give ear to a hick, anyway?
Sorry for the length of this. But this conflict of the fake pandemic
BlM ANTIFA chaos supported by so many reminds me of 3 Nephi chapter 3 particularly where the Gadiantons demand Lachoneos and Nephites surrender themselves and property and submit and join or be destroyed
because of the wrongs they have suffered. They meaning the Gads. Lachoneos was stunned by the accusation for he knew there was nothing to it. I see the same thing here only so many faithful members of the church have adopted these deceptions and so readily.
