MARY MAGDALENE AS THE WIFE OF JESUS

Is this the smoking gun I have been expecting?:

https://youtu.be/lEUFOPCp3Qg?t=737

I already have arrived at a conclusion - but this bolsters what I have already felt.  To be a Rabbi, you had to be married.  Jesus had sex.  Get over it if you struggle with that.

VERY likely, He had more than one wife.

I had a great working relationship with a gal at Boeing who was a devout BAC.  Things were fine for some time until I mentioned that Jesus was married.  She went through the roof and just about got physical with me.  People really struggle with people having sex.  To me, it is not dirty.  It is a thing of the heavens (highest heavens), where procreation is a thing.  I expect food is, as well.  The things we enjoy and that are fundamental to our telestial experience, will be enjoyed in the heavens.  Familial relations, eating food, talking, hanging out, learning and even sex and connecting intimately with my partner.  If any of the above is not part of the continuing equation, I have no interest in going there.

I cannot imagine a life without sitting and breaking bread with my favorite peeps and sharing knowledge and emotionally communing.  There is nothing that exceeds that in this life.

Much else falls under that umbrella of life.  That is the spice.  The rest of it is mundane.

  1. I hope there is food and celebrations with family. I don't care for my husband having sex with multiple wives. I guess I could stomach it if I could have sex with multiple husbands. So you think it's just one big sex fest in heaven? I doubt it thankfully.

  2. And finally...I could go the rest of my ever loving existence never having sex again and be as happy as can be. And I have had great sex and frequent sex, but it just isn't so unbelievably important to me or most women on the planet. In fact, the way men act about it makes me think they are truly the weaker sex.

    1. I totally disagree that sex isn't important to most women. Now in my 60s it is still important. Men differ from us drive-wise because their telestial bodies have hormones that make it so.

    2. I am happy for you. But that isn't the conversation I have with my sisters and friends who all feel the same way.

  3. I've read in the past from church leaders (maybe McConkie?) that there is no food in heaven because we don't need it there.

  4. Something about this post has been bothering me. It's not that you posit that Jesus was married to Mary. That could very well be true. It's a little bit that you think it very likely that he was a polygamist. The thought of that is more than a little disturbing, and no, I'm not a snowflake. But more than anything it's the irreverent way you treat Jesus and sex. Yes, sex is a beautiful thing between husband and wife, but the way you wrote about in this post felt irreverent and a little creepy, to be honest. You talk about how important it is to live right and have the Spirit and personal revelation, but to this loyal and longstanding reader of your blog, parts of this post make me question how much you're really walking the walk. I don't mean that as a petty judgment, I'm just looking for sources of light and truth and "hints" of what's to come that I can trust.

  5. I suppose the whole feeling of sex has been totally ruined. Too much lust and not enough love. Sex trafficking, rape, infidelity, promiscuity, inappropriate fantasizing, masturbation, pornography... the list is massive. If one is being loyal to a spouse it takes work because there is so much temptation. The waters of true and pure intimacy have been muddied. Most of the world, even LDS believe whatever happens in the bedroom of consenting adults is ok. I disagree. My spirit has been offended numerous times. Everyone has weird sexual baggage whether they will admit it or not. I guess that is why speaking about sex and the Savior is just too irreverent because of the mortal deviant world we live in. I'm sure there is a celestial way of thinking with this subject but we as humans do not know it yet.

  6. I could care less about peoples hangups about sex. It is like Black Lives matter, it is too easy to fixate on one thing and not look at at he bigger picture where everything else is ignored. The "Worlds View" of God is derivative of influences of Greek / Roman culture as expressed in catholicism, But I digress.

I do believe that Jesus was the Groom in the marriage in Cana, other wise. why was his mother bothering him about providing the wine. I believe he had at least two wives. Has everyone here forgot that no one can enter the celestial without a mate of the opposite gender.
In fact polygamy is the higher law, are we not to believe that Jesus took part in that, and would also had to of had children from these unions.

There are significant differences between this mortal world and the next life. We just have no idea how these things work there way out on the other side. We work in faith. I would have great conflict in this life with reconciling relationships with multiple marriages and children. Some how they were able to work it out here. My great grand father on my moms side had three wives as a Stake Patriarch.
I pass their tomb stone in the SLC cemetery each year. It has his first wife listed with him on the head stone the other two wives on separate stones on each side. No idea what the relationship was like but it couldn't have been easy especially for the husband who has to maintain peace, equity and unity in the home life measured with intimate relations. Seems like too much work to me.
