You mean like that time when Jesus fed the multitude with lettuce and carrots OR the time when Jesus sent the 12 to the market to get some corn OR that time when Jesus said he would make his disciples "harvesters of men".
People think all they have to do is follow the prescriptive Word of Wisdom and all is well. they will continue to eat the cookies, ice cream, cakes, pop, products with corn syrup with wild abandon. People will fuss about the caffeine in pop and ignore the sugar, corn syrup or diet drink products we all know are not good for the body.
I see the first generation growing up thin and enlarging with the next generation starting out in life fat. That is just the beginning, we have 90% GMO grains that have degenerative effects upon our gut to begin with. The world foods are a veritable minefield of negatives that few will pay attention to. Maybe it is too much information of believe or digest, that to act would mean a significant alteration to our life styles. Well, they would say, the Prophet has said nothing about these things, we need not worry so much! Are we any different than the Jews at Christ's times, that we follow the prescriptive rather than the spirit or our own conscience?
I have heard of the inoculations we receive carry other genetic information than just the known virus you are being given, that carry over into other generations possibly deteriorating their posterities bodies. It is a minefield.
It is unfortunate that we cannot depend upon the leadership of the Church to guide us, to warn of the threats to our health and wellbeing. It makes it even more difficult to warn the youth, our children in adulthood, or anyone for that matter. We are on our own here.
The broader view is that I have been disturbed about the leadership of the LDS Church for a long time, ever since I began to recognize the threats to our lives, health and wellness as they seek to be Politically Correct as possible without encroaching upon the obvious commandments. I am not speaking ILL of the leadership. These are men subject to their own prejudices, and failings. BYU, "The Lords Church", as my dear friend used to tell me, in all educational courses, bows to the reasoning of "The World" in order to be in line with the World. I can see so many compromises that it is impossible for me to warn my children or others. I am just the eccentric and my wife doesn't want to hear about it.
I recognize that people are socially oriented. Whatever the group is doing must be the correct path, sort of reasoning; this makes us feel comfortable and confident in our positions. No wonder Joseph Smith told his Apostles that they would kill him if he were to tell them what he knew.
"......and live upon vegetables"????
