So, I have been having a series of seriously awesome conversations with a prepper buddy who is one who entertains angels and who has a glorious future in the winding up scenes.
This person makes great calls because of the spiritually-correct world view that they have. And I tell you, as with the hypothetical coming of Jesus to the average throng of LDS today, they would both be killed on the spot for the correct views they hold (they are one in the same with those of Joseph Smith, etc).
One of the points that this person came out with is that we need to be ready to not only follow the Prophet and a majority of the Brethren and follow the records of the Church, but we need to follow those who are also Translators of hidden records. When there is a division in the Church, it will be imperative to follow those with the keys of translation, as it was in the days of Joseph when many aspired to his calling - but did not have those critical keys.
Also, we need to aspire to do what we are shown in the endowment - and that is entertain angels and know how to detect them. There will be many lying spirits about in the coming months and years. Only those who have the Holy Spirit as their guide will be able to make it.
