So, I was reading a comment on a discussion on a FB group. The topic had to do with plagues and what happened with the ancient Egyptians when they tried to oppress God's anointed and chosen people. Remember these salient points:
The Jews were the first who had the destroying angel pass over them; then on to those of Sodom-Egypt.
The Jews who ignored the Prophet's counsel, lost folks. The destruction among the wicked Egyptians was far worse as they ignored Moses in a wholesale fashion.
A woman on that FB discussion stated the desolation among the Egyptians was 90% after all the plagues were over. Remember that Revelations states that we will go through the same plagues once again. The desolating sickness has been outlined in Revelations and the antidote given in D&C. Do you remember what that antidote is?
Give heed. Follow the Prophet.
As it says in 2 Nephi 16, only 10% of the population will remain. Great are those words of Isaiah. If this is to be so, then there is only safety in following the words of the majority of the Brethren and staying with the records of the Church. It is simple - but for some, it is incredibly difficult.
There is no such thing as deathbed repentance. Start now. Be earnest.
Once the big events are set in motion - there will be no time to pause and rest. We will all be swept along.
It's possible the 10% Isaiah uses is symbolic. Remember that Armageddon will have 200M soldiers. But maybe that's symbolic too... But if 90% were taken today, that leaves roughly 700M left. Unlikely that 1 out of 3.5 left is that entire army. Of course, the lost tribes will be here by then, but won't be in that army. The math doesn't quite add up. Something to think about anyway!
