A FAMINE IN THE LAND?

This is not good.

I drive thru S. Alberta weekly and we had two feet of snow in places and two weeks later the weather was so hot I had to actually turn on the AC....

On the commercial farms, they appeared to be in hyper plant mode.  The ground is barely drying out - and now they are scrambling to get the seed in the ground before they lose their window (on non-irrigated farmland).  On a really progressive operation, I saw them tilling the gullies with cat tractors trying to get the wet soil turned so that it could dry out enough to get the seed in.

In some places in the Cardston area, we still have cornices that are 20' deep where the snow has drifted over the top of the hills.
