Urgent: Congress voting soon to end federally funded abortions

Dear Grant,
The U.S. House of Representatives is
expected to vote soon, likely tomorrow, on a pro-life bill titled No
Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Insurance Full Disclosure Act of
2017 (H.R. 7). Text of the bill is available here.

The bill seeks to do three things:
- Make the Hyde Amendment (federal funding of abortion)
and other current abortion funding prohibitions permanent and government-wide;
(The Hyde Amendment has historically been attached to appropriation bills
in the past, but this bill will codify/write the Hyde Amendment into law.
Democrats oppose the Hyde Amendment and want to use your tax dollars to
fund abortion. This bill will help prevent that.)
- Ensure that the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known
as Obamacare, faithfully
conforms to the Hyde Amendment while Congress works to repeal and replace
the ACA;
- Ensure full disclosure, transparency, and the prominent
display of the extent
to which any health insurance plan on the healthcare exchange funds
abortion.

I have been howling and whining over this for so long, I am pinching myself that it could actually be coming true! The only thing better than the pace we are moving at, would be if Trump said that he were going to be entertaining a certain Jesus in the Whitehouse in five days.....
On that note - I will pass on something that kind of blew my mind a month or two back:
I was working with the missionaries on re-activation efforts of one sister who was pretty special. She and her family were displaced from Katrina and were in the "ghettos" of Arlington, TX. When I say ghettos, I am not talking an area of town that you would never venture alone at night (even if you were a "cracker", or something like that). In Texas, there is true integration of white/black/Mexican people. I expected different - but it is not like that. The rich live next to the poor and the black lives next to the white. The same in our wards I have observed - people are just people, for the most part here. In the restaurants, you will see tables with half the people white and half black all having a good time. I think this is due to good modeling in Baptist congregations (and others) who are the majority here. It is the way it should be.
Anyway, this poor black gal is the first convert in her family (and you should hear about the dreams and people she has on her side clamoring for her to get temple-worthy and get their work done, so they can progress on the other side). She has a brother who is "rain man" smart. She told me enough to know that he is. He was hand-picked for US Intelligence and has had a very successful career there. He has top-secret clearance. One day, when they were talking about her being LDS, he told her several things that affirmed her choice - and then said that the chain of command in a nuke decision passes thru SLC. Yep, you heard that right. APPARENTLY, the President is supposed to get approval from SLC prior to giving the launch commands. It is part of their protocols.....
I have asked her twice to confirm that she heard that from him and that he was not just messing around. She swore it is true. Now, either he is full of it - or she is.... OR, it is true. I asked her older kids about their uncle's character after grilling her the second time - and the girl and the boy both affirmed that he would not make something like that up. They are in their late teens and great kids.
All I can say is "Wow - really?".
It may just be that this information is pivotal in bringing about persecution being heaped upon us as a people. While I happen to think it is GREAT; many people would NOT like that little detail on so many levels.
What do you mean by "through SLC"? Do you mean church leadership or the nuclear weapons center at Hill AFB?
