THE ONE MIGHTY AND STRONG - DID WE TAKE A WRONG TURN IN 1890?

Something happened at Walker Lake that still cannot be explained clearly to my satisfaction.

We, as a people, may have lost our blessing.  There are haunting quotes about the Lord bringing in another people to get the job done.

I have to think about the Ezra quote and the Lion and many other things.  We are going to lose 70% of the people in Utah and other places.  It will be epic - these are not numbers of a blessed people, but of a people who have lost the moral authority and upper hand - because we have NOT heeded the voices of our leaders.  It will be a difficult thing to pass through.  Those who make it will be called blessed.  Our nation has fallen - and we, as a people, have followed it largely down the drain.  We will all suffer together for our collective sin.

Here is one of the best sets of quotes that I have seen on this topic:
The last admonition of the Prophet Joseph Smith on June 23, 1844 "This day the Lord has shown to me that which was never shown to me before, that I have thousands of friends that never pretended friendship, while others have sought to crawl into my bosom because of my good feelings towards them, and now are the vipers and do seek my life; and if they shall take it they will pursue you; they will do it anyhow....I therefore will say unto you Saints and Elders of Israel:...you will yet be called upon to go forth and call upon the free men from Maine to gather themselves together to the Rocky Mountains; and the Redmen from the West and all people from the North and from the South and from the East, and go to the West, to establish themselves in the strongholds of their gathering places, *and there you will gather the Redmen to their center from their scattered and dispersed situation, to become the strong arm of Jehovah."
"A terrible revolution will take place in the land of America, such as has never been seen before, for the land will be literally left without a supreme government, and every species of wickedness will run rampant; it will be so terrible that father will be against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother. The most terrible scenes of murder and bloodshed and rapine that have ever been looked upon will take place." -Joseph Smith
Comprehensive History of the Church, Vol.1, Ch.26, p.318 - p.319
"There is one clause in Brother Joseph's letter which you may not understand; that is this, `If the people of Zion did not repent, the Lord would seek another place, and ANOTHER people.' Zion is the place where the temple will be built and the people gathered; but all people upon that holy land being under condemnation, the Lord will cut off, if they repent not, and bring another RACE upon it, that will serve him. The Lord will seek another place to bring forth and prepare his word to go forth to the nations, and as we said before, so we say again, Brother Joseph will not settle in Zion, except she repent, and serve God, and obey the new covenant. With this explanation, the conference sanctions Brother Joseph's letter."
“I know that my families court the ways of the world too much and our hope lies in the Lamanites. I hope that you brethren who labor among the Indians will be kind to them. Remember that someday they will take their position as the rightful heir to the principles of life and salvation, *for they never will never give up the principles of this Gospel. – Brigham Young
Brigham Talking About the Lamanites -I am looking forward to that time when they will come forth to save Israel. You know where the Book of Mormon speaks of the Gentiles helping them redeem Zion. I am very much afraid that we will be their servants instead [159] of their masters, unless we do a little faster than we have been doing. Whether we like it or not. *When they do come forth to save Israel, look to see them like a flame of fire, a mighty rushing torrent, like the grand march of angels. (Young Woman’s Journal 1:263)
Orson Pratt: (JD Volume 17: Redemption of Zion):
There is one thing which I am now about to read which has not yet been fulfilled, and which we must fulfill before Zion is redeemed. I will read it:
—“Behold, saith the Father, I will bring the fulness of my Gospel from among them, and then I will remember my covenant which I have made unto my people, O house of Israel, and I will bring my Gospel unto them.” Now then, we are here in this land, the house of Israel are scattered all around us, some in the great basin, some in Arizona, some in Idaho, some in Colorado, some in Montana, some in one place, some in another; *I refer to the American Indians, all remnants of Joseph and belonging to the house of Israel. – Orson Pratt
*In 1855 Mormon apostle Wilford Woodruff stated: “I want to know now, if the Mormons can really and truly realize our true position with regard to the Lamanites , or do you consider them inferior? Do you ever read the book of Mormon? If you do, do you believe and realize the truth of its sayings and also what the Lord revealed to the prophet Joseph Smith? These are the things that we have in our possession; we have them in the book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants, And the History of Joseph Smith. Do you read them? If you lay them to heart as the things a God, you will feel that it is necessary to do our duty to our red brethren. When the priesthood was restored, I knew then that if it were not for the Israelites ( Lamanites ), *the Gentiles might go to hell and be damned. *The Lord would not take much pains with *us* anyhow, were it not for the promised seed. Instead of them being inferior to us in birthright, they are superior in birthright; and they stand first in many instances, with regard to the promises of God in particular” – Wilford Woodruff
--------
The Book of Mormon explains that the Lamanites, the last surviving Book of Mormon people, are the principal ancestors of the American Indians. This means all North American Native Americans are Lamanites. All South American Natives, including Mayan, Mexican, Peruvian - all are Lamanites. This also includes those of the Hawaiian & Polynesian islands.
There is evidence that early Church members did believe a prophet would arise from among the Lamanites. Very early in the Church’s history, many observed that Oliver Cowdery was embarking on a “mission to the Indians (or Lamanites, as they term them) in the ‘far west,’ where they say a Prophet is to be raised up, in whom the tribes will believe.” .
Joseph Smith was a great prophet indeed, However in 2 Nephi 3:24 it is impossible for Joseph Smith to be the “one mighty among them” as Joseph Smith is a pure Ephraimite. Lehi clearly states that this mighty person will come from the “seed” of his youngest son Joseph. Not only is it impossible for Joseph Smith to be the “one mighty among them”, but Spencer W. Kimball knew it was not Joseph Smith when he gave a talk and spoke about this scripture. Here is the conference talk:
Spencer W. Kimball:
“The Lamanites must rise in majesty and power.” (Conference Reports, Oct. 1947)
“The Lamanites must rise in majesty and power. We must look forward to the day when they will be “white and delightsome” (2 Ne. 5:21; 2 Ne. 30:6), sharing the freedoms and blessings which we enjoy; when they shall have economic security, culture, refinement, and education; when they shall be operating farms and businesses and industries and shall be occupied in the professions and in teaching; when they shall be organized into wards and stakes of Zion, furnishing much of their own leadership; when they shall build and occupy and fill the temples, and serve in them as the natives are now serving in the Hawaiian Temple where I found last year the entire service conducted by them and done perfectly. And in the day when their prophet shall come, one shall rise. . . mighty among them . . . being an instrument in the hands of God, with exceeding faith, to work mighty wonders (2 Ne. 3:24).”
Spencer W. Kimball says “And in the day when their prophet shall come” meaning we still haven’t seen this “one mighty” person at least not up to 1947 Yet.

Orson Pratt: ( In reference to 3rd Nephi 16 ):
" for not withstanding they have come forth upon the face of this land, and have scattered my people, who are of the house of Israel; and my people who are of the house of Israel have been cast out from among them, and have been trodden under foot by them; and because of the mercies of the Father unto the Gentiles, and also the judgments of the Father upon my people, who are of the House of Israel, verily, verily, I say unto you, that after all this, and I have caused my people who are of the house of Israel, to be smitten and to be afflicted, and to be slain, and to be cast out from among them, and to become hated by them, and to become a hiss and a byword among them.''
Has that been fulfilled?
Have the Indians been hated? Have they been cast out and trodden
under foot? Have they been despised? The people who are
acquainted with the history of the Indians can answer this question.
"And thus commandeth the Father that I should say unto you at that day when the Gentiles shall sin against the Gospel," — that is, the Gospel contained in this book which he promised to bring forth unto them,
— ''and shall be lifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations, and above all the people of the whole earth," — you can judge whether this is true or not so far as the American nation is concerned — "and shall be filled with all manner of lyings and of deceits, and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and murders, and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, and secret abominations; and if they shall do all those things, AND SHALL REJECT THE FULNESS OF MY GOSPEL, behold saith the Father, I will bring the fulness of my Gospel from among them."
" AND THEN I WILL REMEMBER MY COVENANT I HAVE MADE UNTO MY PEOPLE O HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND I WILL BRING MY GOSPEL UNTO THEM.
And I will show unto thee, O house of Israel, that the Gentiles shall NOT have power over you; but I will remember my covenant unto you, O house of Israel, and ye shall come unto the knowledge of the fulness of my gospel. 3 Key Scriptures:

2.) The CHURCH is refered to as Gentiles & Identified *WITH* the Gentiles in the scriptures & by early church leaders.. I.E.
(D&C 109:60)
60 Now these words, O Lord, we have spoken before thee, concerning the revelations and commandments which thou hast given unto US, who are identified WITH THE GENTILES. - Joseph Smith
3.) It is ONLY CHURH MEMBERS through being baptized and becoming members of the Church who are identified as *' The Salt of The Earth & Savor Of Men. ' I.E.
D&C 101:
39 When men are called unto mine everlasting gospel, and covenant with an everlasting covenant, they are accounted as the salt of the earth and the savor of men;
* 40 They are called to be the savor of men; therefore, IF THAT SALT OF THE EARTH LOSE IT'S SAVOR, BEHOLD, IT IS THENCEFORTH GOOD FOR NOTHING ONLY TO BE CAST OUT AND TRODDEN UNDER THE FEET OF MEN.

3rd Nephi 16:
*10 And thus commandeth the Father that I should say unto you: AT THAT DAY WHEN THE GENTILES SHALL SIN AGAINST MY GOSPEL, AND SHALL REJECT THE FULNESS OF MY GOSPEL, and shall be lifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations, and above all the people of the whole earth, and shall be filled with all manner of lyings, and of deceits, and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and murders, and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, and of secret abominations; and if they shall do all those things, AND SHALL REJECT THE FULNESS OF MY GOSPEL, behold, saith the Father, * I will bring the fulness of my gospel from among them.
11 AND THEN WILL I REMEMBER MY COVENANT WHICH I HAVE MADE UNTO MY PEOPLE, O HOUSE OF ISRAEL, and I will bring my gospel unto them.
*12 And I will show unto thee, O house of Israel, that THE GENTILES SHALL NOT HAVE POWER OVER YOU; but I will remember my covenant unto you, O house of Israel, and ye shall come unto the knowledge of the fulness of my gospel.
13 But *IF* the Gentiles will repent and RETURN unto me, saith the Father, behold they shall be numbered among my people, O house of Israel.
14 And I will not suffer my people, who are of the house of Israel, to go through among them, and tread them down, saith the Father.
15 But IF THEY WILL NOT TURN [ RETURN ] UNTO ME, and hearken unto my voice, I will suffer them, yea, I will suffer my people, O house of Israel, that they shall go through among them [ GENTILES ], and shall tread them down, AND THEY SHALL BE AS SALT THAT HATH LOST ITS SAVOR which is thenceforth good for nothing but to be cast out, AND TO BE TRODDEN UNDER FOOT OF MY PEOPLE, O house of Israel.
16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, thus hath the Father commanded me—that I should give unto this people this land for their inheritance.

The Prophet Joseph Smith said, “One of the most important points in the faith of the Church of the Latter-day Saints, through the fullness of the everlasting Gospel, is the gathering of Israel (of whom the Lamanites constitute a part).” (History of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2:357.)
In a proclamation of the Twelve Apostles of the restored Church in 1845, we are told—speaking of the Lamanites of North and South America—“They will also come to the knowledge of their forefathers, and of the fulness of the gospel; and they will embrace it and become a righteous branch of the house of Israel.” (Proclamation of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, New York, “Prophet” Office, Apr. 6, 1845, p. 3.)
President Brigham Young, speaking of the conversions of the Lamanites, said: “Look to see them like a flame of fire, a mighty rushing torrent, like the grand march of angels.” (Young Woman’s Journal, May 1890, p. 263.)
John Taylor expressed this thought: “The same organization of priesthood, must be introduced and maintained among the house of Lehi as amongst those of Israel gathered from among the gentile nations.” (Letter to A. Carrington, Liverpool, Oct. 18, 1882.)
President Wilford Woodruff penetrated the future and revealed, “Zion is bound to rise and flourish. The Lamanites will blossom as the rose on the mountains… . Every word that God has ever said of them will have its fulfillment, and they, by and by, will receive the Gospel. It will be a day of God’s power among them, and a nation will be born in a day.” (Journal of Discourses, 15:282.)
Spencer W. Kimball: “The Lamanites must rise in majesty and power.” (Conference Reports, Oct. 1947, p. 22.)

  1. Isaiah 49:3 1 Nephi 21:3
3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant,
O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

Interesting the "end time" reversal from
the "Gentiles" (us), then back to The House of Israel.
Most members, because WE have the restored gospel
    and also because of pride - boosting just how great we are;
put us first and think that WE (the church) will build up
    the New Jerusalem, and The House of Israel "will assist in this work";
when in actuality it's the other way around. (* see below)
They will be in power, not us. We will "assist" them.

Brigham Young said "I am looking forward to that time when they, the Indians, will come forth to save Israel... I am very much afraid that we
will be their Servants instead of their masters, ...
When they DO come forth to save Israel , look to see them like a flame of fire, A Mighty Rushing Torrent, like the Grand March of Angles."
    Young Woman's Journal, 1:263, 3 Nephi Chaps. 20 to 22; Mormon "proclamation"

"Our hope lies with the Indians" and "The Indians will yet save us," and "When they come, I fear that we will only follow them."
    Brigham Young

    * I found this on the internet - this shows the mentality of
the modern day Mormon; always putting us first.

copied from the internet - This is WRONG
" The Saints will build up the New Jerusalem and the converted Lamanites will assist in this work."

Actually this is opposite from the way it will really be.
When you read the word "they", in the scriptures below
the Lord is referring to us, the Gentiles, the few righteous,
that will be left (after the cleansing) to gather with
The House of Israel to build The New Jerusalem.

    3 Nephi 21:

22 But if they will repent and hearken unto my words, and harden not their hearts, I will establish my church among them, (our church today)
    and they shall come in unto the covenant and be numbered among this the remnant of Jacob, unto whom I have given this land for their inheritance;

23 And they shall "assist" my people, the remnant of Jacob, and also as many of the house of Israel as shall come, that they may build a city, which shall be called the New Jerusalem.

24 And then shall they "assist" my people that they may be gathered in, who are scattered upon all the face of the land, in unto the New Jerusalem.

Have we forgotten the covenant the Lord made with
The House of Israel ? YES ! but The Lord hasn't.
The Lord WILL remember it ! 3 Nephi 16:11,12
11 And then will I remember my covenant which I have made unto my people, O house of Israel, and I will bring my gospel unto them.
12 And I will show unto thee, O house of Israel, that the Gentiles SHALL NOT have POWER over you; but I will remember my covenant unto you, O house of Israel, and ye shall come unto the knowledge of the fulness of my gospel.
10 And thus commandeth the Father that I should say unto you: At that day when the Gentiles shall sin against my gospel, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel, and shall be lifted up in the pride of their hearts above all nations, and above all the people of the whole earth, and shall be filled with all manner of lyings, and of deceits, and of mischiefs, and all manner of hypocrisy, and murders, and priestcrafts, and whoredoms, and of secret abominations; and if they shall do all those things, and shall reject the fulness of my gospel, behold, saith the Father,
I will bring the fulness of my gospel from among them.

  2. Also interesting when the Lord says "my people" he means
"the remnant of Jacob, and also as many of the house of Israel"
and not us, the Gentiles (The church and it's members.)
Why isn't it the other way around - If we are favored and are
    the Lord's chosen.?
3 Nephi 21:23 and other scriptures above

Our only hope as Gentiles is to be "numbered with them" -
The House of Israel - and "assist" them - the House of Israel and
the remnant of Jacob in "building a city, which shall be called
    the New Jerusalem"

    Isaiah 49:3 1 Nephi 21:3
3 And said unto me, Thou art my servant,
O Israel, in whom I will be glorified.

    2 Nephi 6:18 Isaiah 49:26
18 "And I will feed them that oppress thee, with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood as with sweet wine; and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob."
    3 Nephi 21:
12 And my people who are a remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles,
yea, in the midst of them as a lion among the beasts of the forest,
as a young lion among the flocks of sheep, who,
if he go through both treadeth down and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.

  3. There are 2 "one mighty and strong".
1 of them is the Lord's servant.
The other the Lord uses as his battle axe.(king of Assyria)
    Isaiah 28:2
2 "My Lord has in store one mighty and strong:
as a ravaging hailstorm sweeping down,or like an inundating deluge of mighty waters,he will hurl them to the ground by his hand."
    Gileadi's commentary
The imagery of “a ravaging hailstorm sweeping down” and of “an inundating deluge of mighty waters” identifies the king of Assyria/Babylon and his alliance of aggressor nations (Isaiah 8:7-8; 17:12; 18:2). A second “one mighty and strong” in the Book of Isaiah is Jehovah’s servant, who makes an end of him at the last. Although Jehovah provides a refuge for a repentant remnant of his people against the storms of their enemies (Isaiah 4:6; 25:4-5; 57:13), he empowers the archtyrant—Jehovah’s (left) hand—over “the drunkards of Ephraim” to cast their illustriousness to the ground (cf. vv 1, 3).
In Isaiah the term Egypt always refers to the U.S.
    Cush is Canada
Assyria is Russia-the beast-the bear who's king is
    the antichrist
    Isaiah 19
    1"An oracle concerning Egypt:
When Jehovah enters Egypt riding on swift clouds,
the idols of Egypt will rock at his presence
and the Egyptians’ hearts melt within them.
    2 I will stir up the Egyptians against the Egyptians;
they will fight brother against brother
    and neighbor against neighbor,
city against city and state against state.
    3 Egypt’s spirit shall be drained from within;
    I will frustrate their plans,
and they will resort to the idols and to spiritists,
    to mediums and witchcraft.
4 Then will I deliver the Egyptians
    into the hand of a cruel master;
a harsh ruler will subject them,
says the Lord, Jehovah of Hosts."
    Isaiah 20:
3 Then Jehovah said, Just as my servant Isaiah has gone naked and barefoot for three years as a sign and portent against Egypt and Cush,
4 so shall the king of Assyria lead away the captives of Egypt and the exiles of Cush, both young and old, naked and barefoot, with buttocks uncovered—to Egypt’s shame.
5 Men shall be appalled and perplexed at Cush, their hope, and at Egypt, their boast.
6 In that day shall the inhabitants of this isle say, See what has become of those we looked up to, on whom we relied for help and deliverance from the king of Assyria! How shall we ourselves escape?

    also Isaiah 7:17
17The Lord shall bring upon thee, and upon thy people, and upon thy father’s house, days that have not come, from the day that Ephraim departed from Judah; even the king of Assyria.
18 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.
19 And they shall come, and shall rest all of them in the desolate valleys, and in the holes of the rocks, and upon all thorns, and upon all bushes.
20 In the same day shall the Lord shave with a razor that is hired, namely, by them beyond the river, by the king of Assyria, the head, and the hair of the feet: and it shall also consume the beard."

The flies and bees are metaphors for warring units, winged units or planes.

We have been given a commandment by the Lord
to read Isaiah. Everyone should understand Isaiah.
Avraham Gileadi is THE authority on Isaiah.
    Go to http://www.isaiahexplained.com/
choose Chapter 1, then click on Apocalyptic Commentary
or also listen to it (sound bar on the right) Analytical Commentary. it's very easy.
Also check out Chapters 28, 19, 7 and 10 for more about this king of Assyria who is the Lord's battle axe to overcome us.
If you want a real wake-up call go to Isaiah chapter 28
and see how "we" the "drunkards of Ephraim" (the church )
    are doing !

I believe Gileadi fulfills the prophecy in the B of M that in the latter days the words of Isaiah would be made plain unto the understanding of men!.

  7. There is certainly a division of thought concerning the respect towards those scriptures which prophesy of the power given unto the Lamanite's in this that period prophesied of wherein emphasis of God's work turns away in part from the Gentiles unto the scattered tribes of Israel being as we are fading out of that dispensation of the fullness of the times of the Gentiles unto that dispensation involving the gospel going in power unto Israel bringing about restoration and recompense and the lifting up of that which has been trodden under foot by the Gentiles. The first last... last first. It is Israel via those Jewels raised up that shall go forth in power and bring about the understandings of the true points of the doctrines of Christ as well as to gather in scattered Israel and instill in them the promises of God unto them respecting the prayers of their righteous father'sas well as building up their faith that they might exist in power never to be trodden under foot again. The One Mighty and Strong will be just as the early footnotes stated. ..a future prophet (Indian). The Gentiles will have rejected those precious points of the gospel and a Day of proving will be at hand beginning at the House of God wherein all liars and hypocrites will be exposed and cut off (except they repent) and others grated in the stead thereof... even the newly converted Lamanite. Only the Pure of Heart shall remain for these Jewels shall have discernment between that which serveth God and that which serveth God not as well as having that Priesthood Power to bind up and seal up the disobedient (wicked) unto destruction, even if needs be by fire... even if a Remnant of Jacob must go thru the Gentiles like Lions among sheep, tearing them to peices, and none to deliver. Those Gentiles proven to be pure of heart shall remain in their steads. O... hath ever people heard.. the voice of God.. speaking out of the midst of the fire.. as thou hast hard.. and live. This shall be a day wherein that Spirit which filleth the immensity of space shall clothe that chosen empowering such with the ability to go forth in power even as in the days wherein Moses went forth in power to liberate Israel and lead them into the promised land. .. though he himself was made a sacrifice for their sake. Gods power will be demonstrated amongst the Gentiles and except the wicked resist and no longer opress Israel.. They shall be cursed and eventually destroyed for their own sake as well as the sake of the Church of Jesus Christ that Zion might be established to eventually fill the earth. The chosen gentiles shall greatly assist the Remnant in building up the City of the New Jerusalem but God will speak and direct through this Latter Day Moses who's faith will be like until Enoch being able to command judgement... and it shall be so... for any who resist the Word of His chosen servant shall speedily be destroyed. Again, all false apostles, prophets, bishops, and members of Christ's Church... shall be exposed and proven and cut off... except they speedily repent. May All awaken unto the seriousness of the Day and seek to seek God wholeheartedly casting off the cares of the world and moving forth in active faith to serve that Righteousness which we ought to serve... knowing that all works... save the works of faith.. ..shall be burned and prove void... but that which is righteousness shall remain and bear witness of faith and blessed are those who have the righteous fruits of faith which works make evident the obedient and the disobedient alike. It is a Day that demands Consecration to be spared the terrible judgements to come on the one hand or to be secured in Zion on the other where Christ shall reign a thousand years as satan is bound and blessed are they who Live in that Day of the Bride gathered into the Bridechamber to be made perfect by the Bridesmaids (ministering angels, priesthood authority) in preparation to be joined unto her Husband...Jesus Christ.
