REAPING THE EAST WIND

Hmmm..... this gives the phrase a little more meaning! (thanks Awaken and Bryan D):

The "east wind" is referred to 19 times in the Old Testament and twice in the Book of Mormon. All of those references use the phrase to mean something that is extremely destructive.

Mosiah 7:29-31 says, " For behold, the Lord hath said: I will not succor my people in the day of their transgression; but I will hedge up their ways that they prosper not; and their doings shall be as a stumbling block before them.

30 And again, he saith: If my people shall sow filthiness they shall reap the chaff thereof in the whirlwind; and the effect thereof is poison.

31 And again he saith: If my people shall sow filthiness they shall reap the east wind, which bringeth immediate destruction."

'In Israel, khamsin (Hebrew: חמסין) is known more formally as sharav (שרב), and the Biblical term for khamsin is ruaḥ qadīm (רוח קדים) or "east wind". It refers to a hot, dry, sandy wind that blows from the desert on the east of Israel. It typically lasts only a few hours but the word I keep running into for it is "oppressive". Deadly. See

China's new Mach10 orbital precision-guided missile is named "Dongfeng": it means "East Wind". I think they knew what they were doing when they picked the name.

The article below highlights some very interesting points about current events.

  1. I think Jesus Christ is the "East Wind" bringing immediate destruction upon the wicked. When He returns, it will be from the East. There's a reason in VOG at the end everyone was told to get inside the Church buildings, temples right before the arrival of Jesus Christ to cleanse the earth.

Notice the media didn't report that Obama got off the "back end" of AF1 at the G20 summit? No red carpet, not even stairs were provided, and only some low level people were sent to greet him. And Hitlery's coughing fits and ambulance in her motorcaids! Wonder if she has throat cancer and her health really is failing. Perhaps God is shutting her mouth up!

  3. Just from personal experience, here in the plains states, if a storm blows in from the East, look out! It will generally be intense, and unpredictable; possibly deadly. Storms usually flow from the West, not the other way. So, the inference is literal, as well as, symbolic. Either way, look out! It is going to be bad for those who don't take cover and have the Spirit to guide and protect them.
