REXBURG, IDAHO AS A SAFE PLACE

We can all sense what is coming.  This is a comforting promise from a representative of the Lord:

Dennis C Warr is in the Idaho Falls area. He did a nice post about the First Presidency speaking to them there in another group:

"Do you remember when Julie Rowe said that the Rexburg area will be the safest place on earth during the tribulations? Well, today, Elder Sexton of the Quorum of the Seventy came to our Idaho Falls West Stake Conference and gave a powerful talk about things happening in the world today and said, "I promise you, in the name of the Lord, that if you will keep all the commandments, particularly to keep the Sabbath day holy, that you will be protected in the coming tribulations, that you can remain in your homes and survive."
So, that is the promise. All WE need to do is keep God's commandments and keep the Sabbath Day holy. Follow the Prophet. Pay your tithing. Serve. Prepare. Pray always. Etc. The Lord is bound when we do what He says. If not, we have no promise.
Spread the word. Let's make this a Zion area."

  1. I would like to stand as second witness to Dennis' comments about Elder Sextons prophesy. And it was just that - prophesy. As he was speaking I remember thinking, "Holy cow, he is prophesying to us right here, right now!"
What you might also be interested in is the context of Elder Sextons talk. He set up his Sunday talk in the Saturday night adult session. If you didn't go to both sessions, you missed the full story, and (I believe) didn't have ears to hear the prophesy as it was spoken. *Note Stake conferences are not usually recorded, and members are counseled to not share any instruction given willy-nilly.
Elder Sexton spoke on Matthew 14 with the culmination in verse 25: Jesus had just heard from his disciples that John the Baptist had been beheaded, and he went to go away to a desert place to be alone [and grieve], only to have the people follow him. Despite his own pain and morning, Jesus has compassion on the ‘great multitude’ and spends the time healing their sick. Take a moment here to consider what a great multitude means. A ward congregation? A conference congregation? (vs 21 tells us 5000 men, and that women and children were in addition!) How long might it take to heal all the sick in just your weekly Sunday services, let alone a great multitude?
Verse 15: We know at this point it was evening, and past dinner time if the disciples are worried that the multitude needs to buy food. Elder Sexton suggested 8pm, which sounds reasonable to me.
Verses 19-20: Jesus proceeds to feed the multitude with five loaves and two fishes, enough that they were filled, and there were 12 baskets of leftovers. How long might this take?
Verses 22-23: Straightway Jesus sends his disciples out on a ship, sends the multitude away, and (finally) went up the mountain to pray. It’s fully evening [dark] now, Elder Sexton suggested 10pm-midnight?
Verse 24: The disciples are still in the midst of the sea. A storm comes up with waves and wind. At this point Elder Sexton reminds us that many of these men were fishermen by profession. They spent every day on the water, and knew how to handle themselves. In order to be noteworthy in even a historical text –that must have been some storm! How long until they prayed for help?
Verse 25: Finally, in the fourth watch, between three and six in the morning, Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. Vs 30 tells that the wind didn’t stop. But, Jesus came to their rescue. They had been fighting the storm for hours. Perhaps feared for their lives. How long until they gave up? And yet at the last minute Jesus came.
We are about to enter our own literal and spiritual storms. How long will they last?
We will likely fear for lives, how long until we give up?
Do we really believe that Jesus will come – even if it’s at the last minute?
He WILL come, but it will be in the fourth watch.
The promises given by Elder Sexton were specific to those in attendance that day. He stated that the Idaho Falls Temple was part of reason for that umbrella of safety.

    1. Thank you so so much Janae, for posting this! And thank you Iraq for posting also!
Made my heart leap with joy! I believe that it is not only the Rexburg Idaho area, but any area or individual that keeps the commandments and all that was expressed. I love the Lord so immensely.

  3. The Lord has promised to try the Saints in "all things". (D&C 136:31) What could that include? Just how bad could the testing be? We must be ready to be tested to see if we will live by every word revealed to the Latter-day Saints. Members covenant to live ALL of the Law of the Gospel as contained in the Doctrine and Covenants. The Word of the Lord is the LAW the church is to live by, not any person in the flesh. JST Mark 9:40-48 brings to light a mystery: when the Lord says we must be ready to cut off our hand if it offends us, what He really meant was we must be ready to stand faithfully on our own even if our brother (a "hand") falls away. And furthermore, the "foot" (a leader) or even the "eye" (the Prophet) can also fail us. The very non-scriptural and idolatrous teaching that God would never allow the Prophet (a man in the flesh) to lead the church astray is in direct contradiction to this revelation. That false doctrine IS the very fulfillment of 2 Nephi 28:21 warning against pacification and thinking all is well that leads to hell. Do not be so sure the Lord would not try you in this matter, since He promised to try you in ALL things. D&C 107:81-84 gives the instructions for holding a special trial over the President (Prophet) of the church, or one of his counselors to possibly remove him. How many times has this revelation been read and expounded in general conference in your experience? There is much evidence that a spirit of pacification grips the church. So this talk by Elder Sextons is a welcome change. You should consider this evidence also: http://2bc.info/pdf/pbfraud.pdf
