USING A THERMAL COOKER

About a year ago, I bought a thermal cooker to put in my repertoire of cooking devices.  In conjunction with a good rocket stove, you can live even more off-grid than the Omish can.  And those guys are my benchmark.....

In Cardston, I am surrounded by the Hutterites who are fantastic people who know how to get it done on a grand scale, but who have sold out to convenience, much like the Mormon community has (in general).

I bought my cooker from Easy Preparedness and had a good experience - as they answered all my questions and got me set up:

As their web site shows, you can use your cooker to cook a family sized meal with just 10 minutes of fuel (enough to bring the 7 quart cooker to a boil, in most cases).

Here is the rocket stove that I found to be best for this application (and you can also use liquid or gaseous hydrocarbon fuel sources to get the same result):

Enjoy!
