SON ON THE RIGHT, SON ON THE LEFT - REVISITED

I was thinking a little bit more about this detail.

In every scriptural example where there is an appearance of the Father with the Son, whether it be before or whether it be after The Fall, the appearances always demonstrate Jesus on the right hand of the Father.  Never on the left hand side.

It is my PERSONAL belief that, prior to the rebellion in Heaven, when Lucifer was still in the good graces of the Father (and had NOT violated immutable eternal principles of Agency - therefore becoming satan), his place - a place of honor - was on the left hand of the Father as a Prince and a Pre-eminent One;  the Light Bearer.  Respected and honored by all.  Once he formed in his heart to rebel and lead away others who loved their lives to the death (did not want to gamble in failure in the coming mortal sojourn) and became filled with pride, then rebellion, then rage and hatred, he was cast out with a sweep of the left hand and the word of Father.

When you have the Priesthood and are exercising it in righteousness, a sweep of the left hand has GREAT power when casting the trash to the curb.  There is no sweep of the right hand - in fact, the right hand is used for making covenants with God, through Jesus Christ.

So, I just wanted to point out the left versus the right.  The same applies to "leftist" political principles and so much else.  Left bad.  Right good.  We live in a bi-polar world - with an entire spectrum in between.

One last thing - when you are an elder or pre-eminent one (this could be a parent, grand-parent, older sibling, Apostle - Judas/Cowdery, President, teacher, Bishop, Branch President, Snuffer etc, etc), there is a certain burden that is borne in that your influence is that much greater, as is your ability to do good - and evil in the abuse of that position.  The ability to lead others who are more innocent or more prone to follow versus form their own opinion places a greater burden on those people.  I prefer to lead (of sorts) from an anonymous perspective - and place a disclaimer on that "leadership" or "stepping out" by telling people to form their own opinions and seek confirmation from the Spirit.

  1. Love to see your source. I cannot recall a scripture speaking to the suggestion made about the left hand
