MORE CRANBERRIES

I forgot how much I love these guys!

Maybe it is me Irish - but I like a good Irish ballad:

Enjoy!

You know, I was thinking about it - and watching more of the vids showing the Irish country side.  I am so glad my ancestors were driven from that island in the 1840's with the potato famine.  The people there are mostly living just a smidge above third world.  The living conditions are kind of appalling - even now.  It is no wonder there is a major drinking problem there - it is pretty depressing.

Except for that Irish lilt - it comes through even in the song.  It is intoxicating.  I trained a young fellow about ten years ago when I was in Customer Services and we were doing an "exchange" with Ryan Air.  Their CEO, Michael O'Leary - always being the dashing, great show-man and negotiator like Richard Branson - made a deal with Boeing to get about 200 interns into our company on an exchange from the University of Dublin, I believe it was.  We got a young man and woman in our group.  I loved them like my own kids - they were the only ones who could out-talk me.  And GREAT at story-telling.

Lest I be accused of Irish-bashing (from ex-mo's et al along with notifying international courts of human rights violations or implying that I had something to do with the death of my kid from SIDS - as he did have reddish hair.....Yep, my "sterling" BIL and his ex-mo compadres went there..... and is why I am hitting the pot-smoking, irresponsible pieces of work pretty hard - but then his dear mum also went there.  Mental illness runs in the family.....), I have to give a shout-out to those of Irish descent who run this company.

The guy who knocked the 777 out of the ball-park in its design and delivery in the 1990's, was Alan Mulalley.  He then left to Ford when they insulted him and passed him over in the CEO search and pulled in a GE exec - another Irish-descent fellow.  When Mulalley was at Ford, he turned that company around - to the point that Ford did not require Uncle Scam's welfare during the great shellacking of the American tax-payer of 2009, while the other two of the Big Three, became "Government Motors".....  The point being, we have had a lot of Irish people that have done well for this company - after having turbulent years of CEOs that could not keep their stuff in their pants......  "Thinking" with the wrong appendage.

  1. The scary thing here, is that it is socialism that has sapped the vitality out of the people and they don't know it. They cannot dump all the entitlements. What does that look like for our future.
