SISTER NELSON AND POSSIBLY DROPPING A HINT ON THE SAVIOR'S ACTIVITIES??

This was interesting, from a news site I browse over.  I do not have a paid subscription, so I do not know the rest of the story, nor have I looked at the notes on this conference.

It almost sounds as if Sister Nelson were hinting that the Savior HAS come to do a few preliminary things before He comes this fall to Jerusalem (after Russia knocks the USA out and makes the final push with the troops that have been amassed in the area for the Syrian conflict).

At the Feb 2016 YA Fireside/Devotional, Pres & Sister Nelson spoke. Near the end of her talk, she asked: paraphrasing: "How would you feel/ What would you do differently if you knew that the Savior had already appeared in several very important meetings with the leaders of the church in preparation for the winding up scenes before his Second Coming.... "because CNN won't be reporting on it". (end quote)
 Time will tell.

I firmly believe that if the Wedding Feast of this year is IT, that AoA will occur this summer, just after the USA is knocked out and people are so distracted that it can happen quietly under the radar.  Anything of this magnitude with cell phone cameras, the internetz, the NSA, a contrarian and biased media and so much else - would simply never happen quietly.

  1. Here is the original talk: https://www.lds.org/broadcasts/article/worldwide-devotionals/2016/01/becoming-the-person-you-were-born-to-be?lang=eng

And the quote: "So, now a question as I conclude: What if you learned that the Savior had already returned to this earth—that He, as part of His Second Coming, had already met with some of His true followers in several marvelous, large gatherings13—gatherings about which the world, including CNN and the blogosphere, knew nothing. If you found out that the Savior was already on the earth, what would you desperately want to do today, and what would you be willing and ready to do tomorrow?"

  3. Which Nelsons are these exactly? The apostle Russel M. Nelsons wife passed away a few years ago.

  4. Wendy Watson Nelson --Prior to her marriage to President Russell M. Nelson in April 2006, Wendy Watson Nelson was a professor of marriage and family therapy for twenty-five years, the last thirteen at Brigham Young University. She holds a PhD in family therapy and gerontology.

  5. On the Church's Gospel Library app under 2016 Devotionals you can read Sis Nelsons remarks. She did say what has been quoted here.

  6. The footnote to that quote is "13. See Bruce R. McConkie, The Millennial Messiah: The Second Coming of the Son of Man (1982), 575." What does the Elder McConkie say there?

  8. You mention the Lord coming to Jerusalem this fall to make the final push with the troops that will be amassed there...im assuming you are referring g to the battle of Armageddon when the savior defeats the armies of gig and Magog and saves Israel...I'm just curious as to why you are thinking that will be this fall? The scriptures tell us Armageddon happens 3 1/2 years into the tribulations. Some have speculated the tribulation period started last sept with the blood moons...there are several other theories floating around about where we are in that timeframe, but I've never heard any speculation that we were far enough into it for Christ's appearance to the Jews to come this fall...

  9. Elder Nelson goes on with his talk after Wendy's calling all those in attendance Millennials. His talk is pretty powerful in describing what their roles will be in the coming events that will usher in the Second Coming. You all really should listen to it!

One of the MOST used talks when referencing the last days has been one that Ezra Taft Benson gave in April 1981. You can pull it up: https://speeches.byu.edu/talks/ezra-taft-benson_prepare-great-day-lord/.
I challenge you to print it off and highlight how many times he uses the word 'generation'. In TWO separate sentences he references the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem as taking place in "4 decades" (40 years) from the time the Savior prophesied it would happen.
Then Pres Benson said (quote) Saints of Zion, do you realize we are living in the days of the fulfillment of these signs and wonders? You are among those who will see many of these prophecies fulfilled. Just as certain as was the destruction of the temple at Jerusalem and the scattering of the Jews (there it is again - 40 years), so shall these words of the Savior be CERTAIN TO YOUR GENERATION. (end quote)..... and there it is! For the 2nd time in this talk, he infers that the 'generation' he is speaking of is a 40 years generation. CERTAIN TO YOUR GENERATION! My brother was at this devotional and came home to tell us that he felt that Benson was telling them they would be on the earth - alive for the Second Coming - He was spiritually shaken from this meeting.

So, we know a 'generation' can be 70 and 100 years, but it can also be 40 years as in these scriptures:
    1. “Truly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation. ” (Matthew 23:36)
    2. “Truly I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. ” (Matthew 24:34)
Jesus said in Matthew 24 that the tribulation and the “end of the Temple” would come within one generation. A generation is 40 years. Jesus prophesied in 30 AD. The Temple was destroyed 70 AD… exactly one generation later.

    One more quote:
(quote) We have every confidence that you, “the rising generation,” will not falter. I repeat: You are valiant spirits reserved for this exceptional time. Make the choice: Rise to the task of this momentous hour! (end quote) We know that a half an hour is about 20-21 years in the Lord's time - so how long would an 'hour' be? 40-ish years. This theme of 40 years was repeated during his talk....

POP-QUIZ.... I am one who believes that the 7th Seal was opened on April 6, 2000 - the Palmyra Temple being the catalyst as described in REV 7.... If that is true - then the 'half hour of silence' (Rev8) will arrive in April 2021. here is the QUIZ Question.... Can you remember the month and year that Pres Benson delivered this BYU Devotional? Now - Add 40 years to that date.....

  10. Iraq this is a good blog, but your timing model is incorrect. This is easily proven by the scriptures, instead of questionable quotes. D&C 112 alone proves this - upon my house shall it begin, and it had not begun yet. The ETB post above is certainly possible... I'm not a prophet, or a pretended prophet, but I trust the scriptures and the living prophet, and although I'm awake and prepared, I'm not expecting the Savior to visit Jerusalem in the way you purport this fall. Why are you so doggedly holding on to this timeline? You are deceived but think you're right, and misleading and misrepresenting others... Please stick to what you've done so well: share information about the last days, but please refrain from propogating false time lines.
