MAKING POTABLE WATER OUT OF THIN AIR

Folks, I cannot recommend this enough.  I have not gotten one (as they are not out yet), but the time may come that this is a life-saver for many people.  I would not have one in a desert climate, because it most like would not provide enough to hydrate even an infant there with constant use, let alone an adult at the rates that you would be losing water in the direct sun:

In a desert environment, it might be best to use the old Scout trick of a sheet of plastic, a pit, a rock and a collection bowl.  Either way, I would still run it thru a 10 micron, or less, filter and charcoal for taste.

Part of my preps include a home dehumidifier (the portable one on wheels).  It can make about a gallon a day in a 50-70% humidity range and it should be relatively good to drink if the air is not utterly filthy or contaminated.  Again, a carbon and sub-micron filter should take care of the rest.  I am not sure about radioactive particulate, though.....

The idea is to have approx two weeks of raw water storage and the rest would take care of itself with preps like the above (and a reliable source of electricity).  Speaking of -  I have officially "broken ground" on the 2000W portable energy source that is solely based on solar and AGM battery energy storage.  I am so excited about cranking a few of these things out and testing them.
