Magna will be destroyed by water coming off of the Great Salt Lake when the tsunami comes off the shallow lake and moves southward. Wave heights will reach upwards of 30 feet. In His house will it begin first. It will happen in a Jubilee Year.
Here is more on the Jubilee Year:
I find Rabbi Cahn very interesting, passionate, and even convincing. It would make sense that Israel and Jerusalem would be restored in Jubilee years. However, we are trusting men to tell us that these time periods are Jubilees. Since the Jews never celebrated a Jubilee year (Rabbi Cahn even mentions this), we can only extrapolate when a Jubilee might be. But, it's entirely possible that the Jews are off when they should be celebrating a Shemitah year, according to when it was supposed to be first observed. And if the Shemitah year is correct, it is also possible the Jubilee should be celebrated after a different seven-year cycle.
ReplyDeleteHere's an example of the present Jewish Calendar being off.
According to http://www.chabad.org/library/article_cdo/aid/144569/jewish/The-First-Temple.htm the Babylonian king, Nebuchadnezzar, began the seige on Jerusalem in 425 BC. Zedekiah was the king of Judah, and Jeremiah had been prophesying of the city's destruction and captivity for many years. 30 months later the city was destroyed (about 422-3)
However, in the Book of Mormon Lehi's family left Jerusalem 600 years before the Savior's birth. Lehi received a vision about 12 years later (about 588 BC) and was shown that Jerusalem had been destroyed.
So, whose calendar do you believe?
The Book of Mormon has the destruction of Jerusalem taking place almost 167 years earlier than the Jews apparently cite it.
Incidentally, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Jerusalem_(587_BC) has the siege and fall of Jerusalem more closely aligned with the Book of Mormon time frame.
Be careful what bandwagon of time frames you jump onto. It's much better to become spiritually and physically prepared. Trust in God, listen to the Spirit, follow the counsel of the prophets, sanctify our lives, and we will be watching and ready.
As a further comment, I do believe Utah, specifically the Wasatch Front area, will be hit with at least two big earthquakes. One will be like a severe warning, but most people will shake it off and believe nothing worse will happen.
ReplyDeleteWill it happen this year? Maybe. We're trying to be ready for whatever may come. But while the area is ripening in iniquity, I do not think it is fully ripe for destruction. So, I think there are likely a few more years before things completely fall apart.
We're trying to trust more in God than the time frames that man--even well-intentioned men--try to establish.
It would be nice to have the final years of tribulations come sooner, but my thoughts are many people will have their faith severely tested when things don't happen when they expect--their hearts may fail them and they may think the Lord is delaying his coming.
But, this is not to say that other events, calamities, and challenges won't happen, because they will.
Utah has experienced a lot of prosperity. With its growth rate--from people moving in, new construction, and major corporations moving into the area--Utah's prosperity may be about to increase. When it comes to Brigham Young's fear about the saints being tested by riches (https://speeches.byu.edu/talks/gordon-b-hinckley_let-heart-troubled/), or the spirit of speculation (Heber C. Kimball's vision), I think we may be about to see things get more challenging in the Beehive state, specifically along the Wasatch Front.
For those interested in Brigham Young's words:
"It is our duty to preach the gospel, gather Israel, pay our tithing, and build temples. The worst fear that I have about this people is that they will get rich in this country, forget God and his people, wax fat, and kick themselves out of the Church and go to hell. This people will stand mobbing, robbing, poverty and all manner of persecution, and be true. It my greater fear for them is that they cannot stand wealth; and yet they have to be tried with riches, for they will become the richest people on this earth."
And Elder Kimball's words:
“After a while the Gentiles will gather to this place by the thousands, and Salt Lake will be classed among the wicked cities of the world. A spirit of speculation and extravagance will take possession of the Saints, and the result will be financial bondage.
“Persecution comes next, and all true Latter-day Saints will be tested to the limit. Many will apostatize, and others will stand still, not knowing what to do. Darkness will cover the earth and gross darkness the minds of the people."
While we have been seeing these prophesies coming true, I think what we have seen is just a precursor to what will happen.
Wanted to keep you updated on this line of thought - here is further support that North America is on it's own jubilee schedule/cycle (as one of 2 promised lands) starting in 1782/83 with the granting of our independence.
