In his book, Hector Sosa mentions a giant tsunami originating with the Cumbre Vieja volcano in the Canary Islands. He claims this tsunami will completely wash over Puerto Rico, submerging the entire island. The highest point on Puerto Rico is 3,494 feet. According to the best models, if the west flank of Cumbre Vieja collapses it will momentarily create a dome of water 900 meters (2952 feet) high. When the wave hits the nearby African coast, it will be 100m / 328 feet high, and when it finally hit the Caribbean and Florida it will be 50 m / 164 feet high.
I hope somehow I am able to see what happens to cause the wave to be about 22 times larger than predicted when it reaches North America.
