This thing may just be what this conspiracy site is billing it as:

The hole and the ground appearing to cave into it kind of says it all. Something exploded underground or went into the ground to create that. Not your normal crater. The videos of the explosion appeared to show chunks of chemicals being thrown all over. Who knows? They sure are cracking down on this whole thing. I would move out of that city, if I lived there.....
The "Rod of God" conspiracy theory is nonsense. It allegedly would have the impact of a small nuke, but video of the incident clearly shows a small initial explosion followed by increasingly large secondary explosions. Fire from the initial explosions clearly set off other explosives on site.
ReplyDeleteAnd since the crater filled with liquid we can't determine if the explosion was on the surface or subsurface. Yes, an explosion of that size can create a crater!
Sometimes the simplest explanation is correct. Since Chinese workers are not known for safety, with plenty of documented cases of workers smoking while handling flammable or explosive materials, it is far more likely that some idiot ignited the first explosion unintentionally.
Like in the gasoline fight in the movie Zoolander?
