A THANKS TO THE BLOG READERS

Just wanted to say thanks for reading.  I get nothing from doing this blog other than the satisfaction that I may be able to get my (relatively worthless) opinion out there for others to consider.

Also, I do it as a way to affirm my belief in and love of my Savior, Jesus Christ.  To affirm to others that, if He can work miracles in my life, then He can do it in yours.  If I can have relief of conscience from sin and shortcoming in my life, then you can too, in yours by belief and trust in the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ.

The blog affirms my gratitude for modern Prophets such as Joseph Smith and others who have put it all on the line and made a positive difference in the world - even at great personal cost.  If they have done it, so can you and I.  The blog affirms my belief in the Book of Mormon - and that it points to the merits and teachings of Jesus Christ and those who guide His living Church today.  Without that knowledge, I would be adrift on a sea of confusion, as many are.

This blog is both for those who share my belief set and those who are coming to a knowledge of it.  If I can influence one person for the good, then I have accomplished my goals - while having an outlet for things that are important to me.  If there is an internet in the future and this thing makes it thru what is coming, then it will be a diary and a glimpse into what made me tick and what made me who I am for my children and following generations to see what their crazy ancestor was into.  Hopefully, on much of what I have propounded, they will see the wisdom of what I have written and will call my name blessed (just as I have to many of my ancestors who have recorded their righteous actions for me to read and wonder after them).  In seeing my mis-steps, and then seeing that it all worked out in the end, they will have courage to go forward in the face of overwhelming odds to the contrary in their lives.

When they endure war, social injustices, and much else - they will see that the scriptures (and especially the Book of Mormon for our continent, and our political, social and religious day) were a roadmap to navigate the minefield that is life.  And that the blog was an aid for me in evaluating current events in light of divinely-inspired writ.

Tomorrow, the blog will pass the 1.5 million mark.  It took approximately four years to get to the half million mark, and then approximately a total of five years to surpass the million mark.  It has taken the past six months to get from the million to the million and a half mark and I expect, under current trends, to hit the two million mark before year end.  In other words, the data shows readership to be asymptotic.  This is good news for a niche blog (ie, it is not about cooking that everyone does, just the "end of the world" doom and gloom that a very small percentage of a small percentage even engage on).  So, I would not put what little effort I have put into it, without the knowledge that a few awake people are gleaning something from it.  Truly, it is at the same time, an answer to a prayer in the temple and as a result of the mandate from that prayer to:

"81 Behold, I sent you out to testify and warn the people, and it becometh every man who hath been warned to warn his neighbor."

When that verse literally illuminated to a stunning brightness while reading it in the chapel of the Seattle temple, I knew I had my calling to "wake up the world for the conflict of justice" which is coming to the people as our Lord returns in power and glory and shakes the kingdoms of the earth to their very cores.

So, again, I thank you for your readership.  My frustration at being a "lone crazy man" crying out in the wilderness of public opinion (so to speak) is eased somewhat by your readership.
