Merkel and Hollande (the leaders of Germany and France respectively) after their meeting with Putin, are begging the Americans to stop this push for lethal aid to the Ukranian government.
If you check out Stanislav Mishin's latest post on his Mat-Rodina (the Motherland) blog, which talks about Russia and its issues, you will be quite surprised. They see the Ukrainian gov't as neo-Nazis that need to be stopped.
Merkel knows as does Hollande, that if Obama continues his push, as well as the Republican government who wants to do it quicker, we will go to war.
And most of America is blissfully unaware of that. And when the shooting starts, it isn't going to be as in Iraq where we had a couple of deaths a day on average. Multiply that by a factor of a hundred or even a thousand, and this would become a huge nightmare.
My guess is that if Obama continues, the shooting starts next month. Ironic given tat the ETB manual for next Sunday is titled living in troubled times.
