RUSSIA AND NATO - MORE OF THE SETUP; WATER STORAGE

And, as if on queue:

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/aug/26/nato-east-european-bases-counter-russian-threat

The Russians will tire of our meddling and strike to take out our ability to prosecute war.

We are close.  As Cleon said, the US dictator will lose power due to a natural (or man-made disaster; read NUKES!) and then the Russian dictator will take the reins and take the apocalyptic chariot of death into Jerusalem.....  Lovely, thought; NO?!?

As I said earlier, a minimum requirement of 3 months of food/water will be required to shelter in place while the worst passes over.  Yep, that is 1 gallon per person, per day.  That is a lot.

The people of Cardston all seem to have these "supertankers" in their basements and I recommend them if you can find a good place to anchor them properly to the walls like you would a water heater:

If you have the room, I recommend not stacking them and having a low center of gravity as any lateral forces generated in an earthquake will knock them over or rip the straps out of the walls and you will lose your precious resource.  Of course, there will be the requirement to fill the bathtub as soon as you are able after the shaker is over to ensure water for bathing and washing dishes or whatever your non-potable needs are.  Water is uber important.  See previous post.

As a last bit of unrelated business, we are finishing our move to Cardston (thus the spotty posting) and need just a few more prayers lofted on our behalf.  Just have to nail down the last few details and then we are done with the worst of it.  We are not the spring chickens we used to be, so things are going slowly......

  1. If you get up to the Boise area there is a guy here who sells these 250 gallon storage containers regularly on Craigslist. Very clean, food grade, and incredibly solid. I picked up two for $75 each. So you could up your water storage by 500 gallons for $150; and they wont tip over!
