THE RATIONALE OF TENT CITIES

Sometimes I wake up with the strangest thoughts running thru my head.

Today, it was why there will be a need for a "callout" and tent cities.  Here is what I was led to think - and I believe that we ALL need to be receptive to this concept.  There are many preppers who believe that they are going to hunker down in the basement and "make it alone".  While I think it is wise to have a self-sufficient mindset and to be able to make it on a family level alone for some period of time (from 72hours to a few weeks), we need to consider that the safest place will be in a group setting at the ward or stake level, or larger.

As we see with the developments over our southern border, truly a lion will go thru and tear to pieces.  A lion rarely picks off the healthiest animals.  It is always the stragglers; the onsie-twosies that could not keep up with the herd or who chose to go it alone.  We will see analgous situations in the coming months and year where many "independents" will choose to go it alone and will fall prey to those who come.  The indigenous inhabitants will rise up and throw their shackles off.  Right now, they cannot for they do not have the strength.  Once their former master is wounded, down and unable to defend itself, the once-castigated will rise up in anger and wrath and tear at the body of the former master, shredding and tearing asunder.  It will not be pretty.  Had we treated those that we share the land with, with dignity and respect instead of trickery and subjugation and humiliation, we might have passed this juncture as brothers - but it was not so, and we did not treat them well, therefore, the passage thru what comes will be difficult and painful.  Bloody and cruel.  I think my daughter may have caught the essence of it in a dream of those crossing over the mountains were picked off unless they stayed with the main body of people moving over the broken mountains.

In a tent setting, you can set up sentries around well-defined areas - each member of the community with a specific duty.  Carried out with exactness, safety would be the norm.  In a single household, you will find that there are too many jobs to defend from too many perils - therefore, there is little peace and little safety.

Times will be interesting indeed!!

Here is some wisdom I found on a forum:

I am thinking if you are listening the call will come before the desolation.

D&C 63 wrote:37 And that every man should take righteousness in his hands and faithfulness upon his loins, and lift a warning voice unto the inhabitants of the earth; and declare both by word and by flight that desolation shall come upon the wicked.

I think people are already being told to flee. If you are still living in major cities, I think you are not hearing the call. Anyone in Chicago, New York, Albany, Denver, should already be moving.

Whither the call is from the prophet, my bishop, or just the Holy Ghost to me, when the call comes my family is leaving.
