SPENCER OF VOG FAME WAS JUST MADE BISHOP?

This is definitely interesting.....

Every Bishop is nominated (name submitted) by the Stake President and his name is approved from the a much higher authority (Apostle?).

Therefore, someone does not have heart burn over him.....  The very people who could be ex-commying him are pulling him up.  There is such great fear in the Church about saying something that would "get you into trouble".  That should be the last thing on our minds if we have the Spirit of the Lord in our lives and we are guided by it.
Visions of Glory does not contain doctrinal inconsistencies. It sheds new light on doctrine. It might not jive with your narrow minded understanding of doctrine. Those of you who recoil at the book due to doctrinal issues remind me of a Jehovah's Witness missionary to whom I offered a Book of Mormon...

Recoiling. The thought of new information or an upsetting of your established understanding causes a recoil.

That's your problem. But don't badmouth a book you don't know is true or untrue. Don't accuse a man of lying.

BTW, Spencer was just made Bishop. Apparently his Stake President doesn't think he's a phony.

  1. I can confirm this as well. Spencer is now a Bishop. Names are sent to the first presidency before being sustained. Iraq if you haven't already you should check out a book by Julie Rowe called a greater tomorrow. It's basically a second witness to VOG. I believe more will surface from other sources as well. She mentions the start of civil war in Chicago. There is a 2.5 hour audio of an interview with her on K-Talk radio. Some interesting things there. The last hour is about the coming calamities. http://radiorecast.com/ktalk/archive/Mills_Crenshaw/2014%200529%20JULIE%20ROW%20A%20PROFOUNF%20NEAR%20DEATH%20EXPERANCE.mp3

  3. Correct, Iraq.

When one is being considered for bishop, the local Stake President has his name brought up to the First Presidency and the Quorum of the Twelve for their recommendation. When the name is approved, he is brought to the congregation for a sustaining vote. If the vote passes unanimously, he is then set apart, with all the High Council present.

  4. Does his Stake President even know he wrote VOG? None of the rest of the world seems to know who this annonymous man is...

    1. Even if he didn't know about it his twelve High Councilors plus other stake leaders would have known about it.

  5. I guess I'll stop reading FAIR then because those guys obviously have heads in the sand! You can't have it both ways...taking FAIR's word for one thing, and then turning against FAIR because they ripped on VOG...

  6. I know that we are speaking of VOG here but I in no way feel that this is true in all cases. The Spirit confirming to you that something is not right (for example: receiving new information that's being claimed as the "true" way or doctrine of God) can cause a recoil. The Spirit can confirm when something is right but also confirm when information is not right which can cause one to recoil. I have read VOG however, and I know it to be true.
