THE FUTURE ARMIES OF HELAMAN

I have a son that is exactly this age - who was named after his g-pa that died in Vietnam.  While blessing him as a baby, I was filled with the Spirit and was felt to exclaim that (if he were not careful), he would end up going the same route as his namesake.  He, on the flip side, never liked the Primary songs like my wife and I both did as little children.  Some people will be humbled in a muddy trench clutching a rifle on the edge of death, crying out for their mothers and the protection of their God.  Some, who merit it, will receive divine interventions, others who merit it will not.  Some will be taken home earlier than they otherwise might have had they been humble and followed good counsel from their early days.  Hold your loved ones near while you have them.

One can hope one is wrong.  I think we are setting up for it.  The writing is on the wall.  This is an excerpt from an experience on LDSAVOW - and it points to a time of much sorrow in less than three years.  Most likely WWIII.

My Youngest son is 17 1/2. It was shown to me that he would be involved in the fight to protect and preserve the Constitution and he would see combat during those times. He was counciled in his blessing to study the Book of Mormon and to pay particular attention to the Lives of Captain Moroni, Heleman, Mormon and Mormon's son Moroni and to set them as an axample in his life. This boy has gone to bed at night his entire life with primary music playing. When I was home at Christmas time, I got

  2. Like it or not we are all involved in the fight to protect the constitution. Ever since the fun days of the Clinton administration people have asked me if I was scared or worried that the government "may be watching" me because of things I wrote to newspapers, magazines, or online.
The fear of government monitoring keeps many good people from expressing their love for, and belief in the divinely inspired constitution of the United States. The 98th section of the Doctrine and Covenants makes it quite clear that the constitution is not to be an elastic document. The amendments (first ten especially) were placed there to ensure that the federal government would remain a servant of the people and the states. Too many - and sad to say Senator Reid (D - Nevada) is among those who worship the god of the repressive hand of government more than the God of the universe.
It boils down to a continuation of the war in heaven. Are people going to be free to either succeed or fail, or will they be forced to "do good" and therefore fail because there was no use of agency in the process. Will people be free to ask Christ to take the helm of their lives and voluntarily seek improvement through Christ, or will people be forced to submit to the tyrant's whip and chains of bondage and be conditioned to lick the hand of the oppressor and grovel in fear?
The battle is raging now. The time for decision is now. Our voices need to be heard now. The Republic, and it's founder - the God of Israel, needs our allegiance now.
One of the best ways to fight against the despotic conquest of this nation is to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ as taught through the church of the restored gospel. This will give more people the confidence to stand up and be counted. To vote when it appears futile, to speak up even though all hell is laughing at our simplistic and antiquated views on life, love, morality, and the proper role of government.
    Stay strong and have fun.
