There is much to be learned from this video on the wolves in the Yellowstone. Before I start, I am not for the wolves, coming from a ranching/farming background, but I am for them in large confined areas, such as Yellowstone - and I am for learning what I can from the natural balance God has put in place in this world and in the Universe.
Here is the video:

Now, having watched that, what are the chances that, if you removed key elements of any environment, including our spiritual environment, that the rest of the surrounding environment could be harshly impacted? Could even lead to a collapse?
If you remove the sanctity of marriage between man and woman, you have irreparably harmed the "spiritual ecosystem" that God has put in place for the joy and betterment of mankind.
I doubt there are any tree-huggers out there who read this blog, but I have to wonder if they have thought about the commandments as key building blocks that help to keep the world together? If we were to put as much emphasis on those things as we do on the physical world, I wonder if things would be different today in our world. Would it not be that putting the family back into society, our crime rates might drop, our mental health statistics might not improve, our burgeoning social services sector might be reduced, our taxes likewise lessened, more time to spend with our families instead of slaving to pay for the dysfunction?
I think so. Truly something to think about.
You mind if I steal this quote and put it on my FB? This is PRECISELY what the Gadiantons of these days have tried to do: Replace the social structure of the family, with the social structure of the government.
ReplyDeleteBefore there was Social Security, the old folks were protected by their younger family members and were aided snd supported by them. Enter Social Security, the old folks are pensioned, and the young ones no longer feel like they have to protect their old folks. After all they are pensioned and if something goes on they could be sent to the nursing home.
This was 80 years ago. There are MANY more examples now these days, but this was the first attack on the family.
Now with no fault divorce, marriage became more of a contract of two people and less of an obligation to raise kids under the protection of said marriage.
That led to the inroads today that is gay "weddings" (cannot say marriage because the root words of that are matri mother and mulier woman. To make a woman a mother.
Man cannot make man a mother.
Woman cannot make woman a mother.
Man can make woman a mother.
Love your analogy, hon, of that physical example to the spiritual example. That was pretty cool. And I really like Brian's examples and the root words of marriage. Never realized that. Wow! Thanks for sharing! (Blogger's wife.)
ReplyDeleteSo what happens when the wolves become too populated in an area? Then what happens? The deer get pushed closer to town, and prowl in schoolyards and also eat the gardens of people whose gardens the deer once left alone. And like the blogger mentioned...the ranchers and their livestock...so how do you maintain a proper balance?
