UPON MY HOUSE SHALL IT BEGIN

This is something that has come up quite a bit in conversation about the sequence of events in the last days.  Truly, those who had been given the most, will lose the most in this equation.  If the quotes meant something when they were uttered over one hundred years ago, how much more they will have meaning today.

We are nowhere near a Zion (consecrated) society.  For this, we must pay the piper, so to speak:

D&C 112:24–26. “Upon My House Shall It Begin”

In the same revelation in which Zion was defined, the Lord warned the Saints that only if Zion met the Lord’s qualifications would it escape the judgments that were to be poured out upon the world. If they did not qualify as a Zion people, they had no promise (see D&C 97:21–27). Severe judgments befell the Saints because they failed to build Zion and abide by its laws. This prophetic statement also had reference to future members of the Church.

President Brigham Young warned: “If the Latter-day Saints do not desist from running after the things of this world, and begin to reform and do the work the Father has given them to do, they will be found wanting, and they, too, will be swept away and counted as unprofitable servants” (in Journal of Discourses, 18:262).

President Joseph Fielding Smith pointed out: “All of these things will be withheld while the nations are being punished, if the members of the Church will keep faithfully their commandments. If they will not, then we have received the warning that we, like the rest of the world, shall suffer His wrath in justice.” (Progress of Man, p. 468.)

President Wilford Woodruff emphasized: “Zion is not going to be moved out of her place. The Lord will plead with her strong ones, and if she sins He will chastise her until she is purified before the Lord.
“I do not pretend to tell how much sorrow you or I are going to meet with before the coming of the Son of Man. That will depend upon our conduct.” (In Millennial Star, 2 Sept. 1889, p. 547.)

Got this from a FB friend who does a newsfeed called "Awaken to Our Awful Situation".  They are awake and getting the word out there.  Look her up and "Like" her newsfeed.  She is getting some headwind from former friends.  I am finding more and more people within the Church who are not just dismissive of this message, but who actually fight against it.  Many, but not all, support the whole marriage desecration thing and will be swept off with the wicked as things progress:
People will eventually wake up, but it will be because they will have no choice. The mask of ignorance will either be peeled off now or painfully ripped off later. Either way it is coming off.

  1. Hello, favorite Troll here. I too have noticed that many LDS's are for gay marriage. I've taken severe beating on facebook for standing up for traditional (1 man/1 woman in case anyone is confused) marriage. Almost all of my liberal friends have either blocked, defriended or just ignore my railings against the gays and Obama. It is interesting. Many LDS's love to toss out the "hater" and "bigot" labels whenever I bring up traditional marriage. I tell them this is the tool of the weak minded, to toss out labels in an attempt to silence those with differing opinions. If you are silent, they will win. Anyway, keep up the posting of interesting stuff. I follow the blog regularly as I love the "fact & data based" things you post.
