He set out the short war (east coast of the USA) followed by a longer one (12-18 months) that we will know as WWIII. This will be a relatively short WW compared to the previous two because of advancements in weaponry and the use of nukes. It will not be pretty at all. This will happen at the end of the times of the Gentiles. When they have lost their grace and abortion is rampant, sexual promiscuity is the norm, persecution of the humble followers of Christ occurs and wrong is called right and right is wrong.
Once Christ has judged and then redeemed the remnants on both sides of the pond (old and New Jerusalems), then comes the work to redeem the heathen nations who are not under the law because they were never bound by it; they had never received it or been given it since the days of Noah. That day will be tolerable for them.
Here is the scripture that jumped out at me this morning when I was reading in the D&C 45:
51 And then shall the Jews look upon me and say: What are these wounds in thine hands and in thy feet?Spencer spoke of a similar timeline and sequence of events by 12,000 of each of the 12 tribes who will finally be gathered in to the NJ near the end of this sequence. Once that gathering is completed (I believe it will be around 21 years long), then the earth will be burned of all the stubble and the tares who would not take advantage of their last opportunity to repent and come to Christ.
52 Then shall they know that I am the Lord; for I will say unto them: These wounds are the wounds with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. I am he who was lifted up. I am Jesus that was crucified. I am the Son of God.53 And then shall they weep because of their iniquities; then shall they lament because they persecuted their king.
If you want to properly understand the last days and what will occur, one of the most important things that must be addressed is the NEW Jerusalem. The New Jerusalem is now SLC. NO it is not Zion yet, but it is the Jerusalem of our day. Everything regarding Jerusalem and the last days is happening in Utah.

46 Wherefore, if ye have slept in peace blessed are you; for as you now behold me and know that I am, even so shall ye come unto me and your souls shall live, and your redemption shall be perfected; and the saints shall come forth from the four quarters of the earth.
All nations will come to the New Jerusalem
D&C 45
69 And there shall be gathered unto it out of every nation under heaven; and it shall be the only people that shall not be at war one with another.
70 And it shall be said among the wicked: Let us not go up to battle against Zion, for the inhabitants of Zion are terrible; wherefore we cannot stand.
71 And it shall come to pass that the righteous shall be gathered out from among all nations, and shall come to Zion, singing with songs of everlasting joy.
When the gathering takes place for Zion they are all gathered to one place, the New Jerusalem. They are not gathered to two places.

24 And as surely as the Lord liveth, will he gather in from the four quarters of the earth all the remnant of the seed of Jacob, who are scattered abroad upon all the face of the earth.

62 And righteousness will I send down out of heaven; and truth will I send forth out of the earth, to bear testimony of mine Only Begotten; his resurrection from the dead; yea, and also the resurrection of all men; and righteousness and truth will I cause to sweep the earth as with a flood, to gather out mine elect from the four quarters of the earth, unto a place which I shall prepare, an Holy City, that my people may gird up their loins, and be looking forth for the time of my coming; for there shall be my tabernacle, and it shall be called Zion, a New Jerusalem.
The scripture that you quoted from D&C 45 is going to occur in SLC.

This is all happening now, I know people who use abortion as birth control and you wont find many virgins after the age of 15 and we are harrassed constantly for believing in God, they have taken God out of everything and soon in Quebec it will be illegal to wear or display any religous paraphanelia, and everything that is right now is wrong in the eyes of Babylon!
