Okay - so I have to start slamming down more data that supports Spencer's account of things.
I am listening to the MP3 of the conference (let me know if you would like and I will send it to you since I got a download before they dumped it) and they are at the part where the very earthly items will cry out against unrepented sin - such as the couch and table crying out against the doctor and the nurse who had adulterated on it. Much like the dust of the earth crying out against the blood of Abel that was spilt upon it, don't you think??
Anyway, it reminded me of a story by Jorge (a former co-worker) who, years ago, shared a story of a Priest from his native Peru who had a NDE. In this NDE, the Priest left his hospital bed and was able to see through walls, etc. as he no longer had a body. He could see two hospital workers have "relations" in a closet in the building. The thing that he noticed was that there were evil spirits egging them on and lunging in and out of them, taking turns to experience the earthly feelings of lust and the forbidden nature of that act. I can still see Jorge's incredulous expression as he described this to me - and he then (maybe not having so much experience in this area as a Catholic) asked me if I thought this could be accurate or possible. I think he admired this particular Priest and his opinion - but this seemed over the top to him. I told him then, and I would back it the same now, that I believe that experience to be authentic and accurate.
Spencer's description of the man viewing pornography and having the same kind of experience is most likely accurate, as well.
Folks - you can only have so many witnesses of something that testifies of Christ and pure doctrines (with the Spirit there in spades) before you have to go, "Hmmmmmm". This is just one of those things that makes you go.....
Oh, here is my blog e-mail for a copy of Spencer's Unblog conference:

If you feel impressed to share personal stuff that supports Spencer, just let me know whether you would not like it displayed on the blog. I have kept many things back at the request of those who send stuff to me - and actually have a shred of journalistic integrity - considering all the stuff I shamelessly lift and feature on the blog. I only do this because I would rather have a copy of the source material here than to have it deleted into ones and zeroes oblivion like so much of it is eventually.....
I have so much more "in defense of Spencer" that I eventually will share over time. I had no idea that there was a ground swell against him.......
If Spencer's experience was the devils work, then it probably wouldn't have much opposition. All the naysayers in the world can't take away what I experienced when I read it. keep up the good work you're doing here, I really enjoy your blog. Mark
