Zion
All people and prophets important; not lucre.
Moses 7:18 And the Lord called his people Zion, because
1. they were of one heart and one mind;
2. and dwelt in righteousness;
3. and there was no poor among them.
Liberty; freedom of expression and of religion; Bill of Rights and habeus corpus; Declaration of Independence.
Consecration and Stewardship: consecrated then deeded back; private property used to benefit all; based on giving and charity=love, not force. Golden rule: Do unto others as you would have others do to you.
Builds the New Jerusalem to welcome the return of Jesus Christ to the earth (D&C 45, etc)
Babylon
Elite and profits important; lucre.
Babylon:
1. they were divided and competitive;
2. and dwelt in sin and sex including homosexuality (Sodom and Gomorrah examples)
3. and there was great inequality between the rich and the poor, the high and the low.
Control; limited expression and whistleblowers punished; no habeus corpus; rights limited (excuse: fear of terrorism); executive orders and undeclared attacks and wars.
The Gadiantons get richers while sheeple "share in the spoils" of the Gadiantons. Based on taking and greed; force. Golden rule = the guys with the gold make the rules.
Builds cities and armaments; sees no end to their rule and power.
