MEDITATION AND PONDERING AND SEEING THE FACE OF THE LORD

From what I know of President David O. McKay, he was capable of having seen the face of the Lord.

Here is what he had to say on the subject: 

 In June 1967, President David O. McKay said that "Meditation is one of the most secret, most sacred doors through which we pass into the presence of the Lord." (Pres. David O. McKay, "Consciousness of God: Supreme Goal of Life," Improvement Era, June 1967, p. 80–82). So, to enter his presence, we must meditate. 

I have heard that the best times in order to do so, is in the early morning hours of 4-6am.  There is something special about those hours when you rise early with the sun.  I am a late night person, but when I have risen with the sun, it has been a great experience.
