MAJOR QUAKE OFF WEST COAST......

GULP!  I just got off the phone with my wife who is in Montana and was chided for not having BOB (the disaster-mobile, Bug Out Bike) ready to go with all the goodies I planned on stuffing in the trunk on it.  She said I might regret it.

After hanging up, the first article I read in the newsfeed is about a major (something to write home about) EQ off the coast of BC - which I sure hope is not the "warning EQ" that Joshua Taylor talked about in last month's post that I shared on the Wood Zone.  Yikes!  Time to stuff that trunk full, get the bike warmed up and be ready to make like a banana and split.....  With the whole referendum on "gay marriage" here in Washington, its feeling very Sodomesque around here lately.

Here is a link to that previous post where Joshua said "
.....a "major earthquake had already occurred on the Island in excess of seven points."
In bringing forth the warning, the word of the Lord indicated that the earthquake would result in "a six foot tidal wave," and that "all vessels on the West Side were to be evacuated!"
The warning quake would "be a mercy quake," before a total destructive quake to follow!

Yowsa!!!  It was a 7.7, they are warning people all vessels along the West Side of Vancouver Island to evacuate or get boats out of the harbor and there just might be a 6 foot wave out of the deal.  Hmmm.....

It may just be me, but I have the jitters.  I have GOT TO switch to decaf - and soon!  Just kidding.

Tsunami warning follows major quake off coast of Canada

Tsunami warnings went out for parts of Alaska and the northern coast of British Columbia after a 7.7-magnitude earthquake was reported Saturday evening off the Queen Charlotte Islands.
Seattle Times science reporter

A tsunami warning was in effect for parts of Alaska and the northern coast of British Columbia after a powerful earthquake struck off the Queen Charlotte Islands on Saturday evening.
"No destructive widespread tsunami threat exists based on historical earthquake and tsunami data," said a bulletin from the West Coast and Alaska Tsunami Warning Center in Palmer, Alaska.
The quake, estimated at magnitude 7.7 by the U.S. Geological Survey, hit shortly after 8 p.m. Seattle time. There were no immediate reports of destruction in the sparsely populated region.
The quake could be among the largest ever recorded in the Pacific Northwest, said John Vidale, director of the Pacific Northwest Seismological Network at the University of Washington. It was followed by a magnitude-5.8 aftershock, and may also be linked to a smaller quake in Montana, he said.
More aftershocks could follow.
Vidale said the quake was not on the Cascadia Subduction Zone, the giant offshore fault that scientists say will one day unleash a megaquake and tsunami similar to the double-punch that hit Japan in 2011.
But Saturday's quake was of the type that can warp the seafloor, triggering a tsunami. "We don't know yet how wide an area it broke," Vidale said. The size of the seafloor displacement determines the size of the tsunami.
The tsunami warning center's website malfunctioned after the quake, creating initial confusion about the scope of the warning.
Jay Neher, of the National Weather Service in Seattle, said the warning applied only to the coastal areas of Alaska and British Columbia, from the north tip of Vancouver Island, British Columbia, to Cape Decision, Alaska.
The U.S. Coast Guard in Alaska said it was trying to warn everyone with a boat on the water to prepare for a potential tsunami.
Lt. Bernard Auth of the Juneau Command Center said the Coast Guard was also working with local authorities to alert people in coastal towns to take precautions.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.

  1. Very interesting! My sister and her husband have received revelation to move to the Northwest coast in the next year. It's strange considering all that is supposed to happen there. I myself have had a lot of interesting things happen in the last few months concerning dreams and unexplained experiences. Here is the link to my blog. I would love to hear your thoughts.

  2. Yes, Lindsey. Excellent song, BTW! I also saw from your blog that you have heard the Pontius-provided recording from Spencer where he talks about the massive W Coast devastation that will happen so clearly and you have no-doubt heard my frothing-at-mouth ranting about what is coming. Well, I do not know what to say about your sister. Maybe they own a boat?? There will be general devastation here. I am, for the most part, calm as I am still here earning a living on alternate weeks. I figure the Lord will take care of me in His own way or provide a way where I have an out at the right moment. I have implicit trust in Him.

  3. If you look at the pattern of leading people.... Amazing people are often directed to stay in places where disaster will strike, to lead, and be pillars of light..... Or to stay til the last moment to help slower folks. I wonder how many amazing people were directed to stay when lehi left... And eventually headed north with the stubborn 10 tribes. Noah stayed behind when the city of enoch was taken up.....
