PEOPLE ARE GETTING OUT OF THE WEST COAST

Well, I just went in to the rental truck place to move my truck date back to the next day. The rental owner who has been in the business for quite some time cannot explain it. He has NEVER seen it like this. All trucks are stuck in the inter-mountain area and he is having to send crews over there to pick them up to get them over here for people like me.

Basically, there is no reciprocal ebb and flow of people moving back and forth (that they rely on for their logistics) - just ebb. The same thing with U-haul - no trucks available. I noticed that the cost of renting their trucks almost doubled two weeks ago when they realized they could not get them on the West Coast. That gave me pause and I ended up going with another rental company.

Which brings me up to the point of this piece. People just start moving when the time is right. Usually it involves around 0.1-0.5% of the population when there is a ELE such as the Babylonian armies coming, the Roman armies coming, etc. OR, Elenin. History has shown that people - a small, select class of people - seem to sense, act decisively and prosper when times are tough.

I work with the progeny from a group of families that chartered a ship and split for the coasts of India right around the time that Lehi split Jerusalem for the Americas. There were the folks associated with Mulek, as well who split at that time - although they may have just used their privilege and money to buy their way past the siege guards after the crud had already hit the oscillator. Many groups other than those three recorded groups (I am sure) got out and avoided badness.

Here is an excerpt from an e-mail I sent this morning:

Holy smokes - got freaked out at the Budget truck place. No trucks on the west coast. They may have to go to Kalispell to find the interstate ones (20-24 footers). Remember all those trucks there when we dropped ours off Sunday afternoon in Kali? I had to park on the grass.... Well, apparently, that is the case everywhere except here.... People are leaving in droves for some reason and there is no ebb and flow of people coming and going - they are just going.....

Very interesting - anecdotal, but interesting. Kind of along the lines of what Bishop's wife had to say about a gathering place in the valley. We may not be the only ones that are being moved upon to move. Can't wait to hear the stories of some of these other families coming into the ward.

I am VERY interested to see how this all plays out in a few short weeks. It is heartening to see that the Lord is acting in others' lives. Glad to know I am not the only freak out there...... Not that I care - I have always acted on faith and THEN assessed the outcome and done very well by that - but this is a drastic thing I am doing. Hope your situation finds you acting in faith and feeling at peace with your future.

  1. Do you have any advice for those of us who are stuck on the west coast? We have tried several times to get out, and have always received strong impressions that we should stay. It is very disconcerting. I'm worried, but maybe we have a role to play here in the preservation of others. Hopefully we can be an oasis of safety. But I wish we could leave!

  3. I am grateful for the peace I feel. I've prepared and I'm still preparing in as many ways as I can, but the greatest preparation has been to get spiritually prepared. I'm reading my scriptures more, praying more earnestly, and I'm doing my very best to heed ALL promptings by the spirit. I want to be in practice for the days of turmoil ahead. Since I'm not moving to Montana I want to be able to immediately feel the Lord's promptings as to where I should be, what I should do, and how I can help.

  4. My only advice is follow the Spirit. That is the beauty of having that resource - everyone's circumstances will be different. My only advice (and I am staying on the coast right up until within three weeks of the event), is be as pure as you can be. Pray as much as you can pray (always have one in your heart and morning, noon and night - Alma 37). Go to the Temple fasting as often as possible for your circumstances and ponder and seek guidance. And the rest doesn't matter. I have not lost an ounce of sleep over this whole thing - and for being a consumate worrier and this being one of the major life events, I am shocked. When I know something, I just know and I do it with unnerving confidence. I really don't care for myself - I am going thru these machinations for the kids; the ones who cannot act fully for themselves. I have been told by the Lord in the Temple to warn as many people as I can - and so I am doing that by this medium and other opportunities (just told my naturopathic doctor this morning and the lead Engineer in my group a few days ago without too much eye roll....). People who need to move will move, those who don't will not. The Lord will bring many people through it by miracles, if need be. Many, He will not. I take the Elenin-caused Japanese disaster as my guide. No one that I am aware of had an early warning during that event. I was surprised by it - but had no need for a premonition. In the Elenin-caused 8.8 in Chile, the Mission President's wife had a warning and acted on it. In both events, nothing came from the top (Salt Lake, etc) since the logistics are just too much. I think this falls under the category of to each his own, survival of the spiritual fittest and success in your endeavors. I strongly believe the Church needs a purge - an event like this to separate the people who have the Holy Spirit as their guide and those who do not. I think the Church will be MUCH stronger for having gone through it. I think the individual people will have gained much more than lost for the experience - much as the survivors of the Willey-Martin handcart company testified they came away from the experience with. May the Lord bless you in your diligent efforts! May we all have the choicest blessings and sense of mission as we move forward. This is the most exciting time of my life! I hope there is no dread in anyone's heart - for that is not of God. I have been there - and made that discovery for myself.

  5. To anonymous:

All I can say is, I presented the information to my Elder's quorum President and they just moved to 2500 feet elevation yesterday. He was a nay-sayer two months ago until he did the research. Now he is out of the blocks faster than I am.... Our Primary President is about two weeks behind us and heading for higher ground. Our Relief Society President and her husband (Young Men's Counselor?), whom I home teach, are investigating a job transfer and move to the mountains. The Ward Preparedness specialists (former Scoutmaster) have investigated and are splitting and trying to get their kids to split. There are others I am not even sure of that are also acting. Our Ward is being gutted. That is why the next person I told after my wife and kids was the Bishop while we were hiking with the youth in preparation for this summer's trek. Each person knows their circumstances and acts on their own agency according to the Holy Ghost. I would never let family, mortgage obligations, preparations that cannot be moved such as an orchard or garden or farm animals, callings, work situations, or any of that stop you if think it is right. One of the previous readers who had the light bulb come on said we must never get hung up on that stuff - drop it all and go.

  6. FWIW, I am in Oklahoma and have felt several nudges that OK will fare far better than the coasts (including the Gulf Coast). In fact we've had 2 families move in from Utah and California, respectively, *with no job prospects and under 18 kids*. I couldn't believe it until they said "The Spirit told us to move inland" and basically pinned the tail on the donkey with a US map. (They both have no family/connections here).

My wife, usually mocking me for reading "those doomsday blogs", has had prompting after prompting to get food, lots of it. In fact she felt "We should get storage before the first week of August." Needless to say now we have been acquiring as much as possible.

Lastly, in a bit of macro-view-mode, California is currently undergoing a MASS EXODUS of companies. 5 (five) companies A WEEK are leaving California due to the geniuses in office in that state. The state WILL default and will load our federal/economic/house-of-cards system even more.

My poor brother and sister-in-law refuse to see the writing on the wall with California, specifically. Good people in that state need to leave quickly, I feel.

  7. I fully agree on Californication. After we get nailed in the PNW, the rupture will continue down thru Crescent City and take out SF and then down to Southern California - where there is a huge contingent of good members of the Church including a girl that I dated in high school (who then joined the Church and on whom I had designs as a potential marriage partner for her stellar character) and her husband who is a Bishop. I feel for them and many other good people there - but take comfort in a vision by a member of the Church (while serving as a missionary in Chile years ago) who saw a great tribulatory migration coming out of Southern California and heading towards Nevada and St George on foot. I am hopeful that they will make it and that there will be a call from the top that will make the calling out and the faithful will heed it before the hour of their destruction. We (in the PNW), however, will have no fair warning of our impending doom. It will be sudden and pretty complete. The Japanese situation was our wake-up call. If people do not heed what whisperings they have been given, it will be too bad for them. Others in areas other than WA, OR and N. Cali will have a chance to heed our death call as their wake-up call.....

  8. I also feel to echo whisperings that I have come across that indicate that the Church membership will begin to swell starting in the next few years after many of these events have played out. People will join due to chaos that will reign everywhere else. It will be interesting...

  9. I have been reading about all that could come real soon and have to ask the question. I live in Hawaii on the island of Maui at 1600 elevation. What do you think might happen to the tiny island of the pacific ocean? I have at least my one year food storage and other supplies but there is no way that if we had to leave the island that we could bring it all with us. Who knows, it might be left behind for someone else to use and its part of the plan. I am originally from Spanish Fork.

  10. I am LOVING these comments from everyone. It confirms what I feel. I wanted to share a TRUE story that tells of a miracle that happened in Japan. This story was told to my husband from his boss. His boss's parents are serving in the Japan mission when the tsunami hit. They were North of it and were not hurt. However, when everything went down, hundreds of refuge's flooded a shelter that they were helping at. A newly married couple had been there several days. Their story spread throughout since it was so horrific. They were new parents a 5 month old baby. When they had the warning and literally were running for higher ground, they grabbed their baby and starting running for their lives. The husband had his little baby daughter in his arms and as the water swelled up and he was scrambling to save his wife and child and to get the to higher ground, the water hit with such force that the baby was swept away. This poor husband knew that he would not be able to find this infant so he got his wife and got her to higher ground. 2 1/2 days later this poor couple made it to a shelter north of the damage. They mourned their daughter. It was HORRIBLE. Then, as they were looking at the computer screens (where they listed people's names and discriptions of missing people found) they saw a description of a baby girl dressed in a winnie the pooh shirt that had been found under some rubble ALIVE. They were reunited with their living infant daughter who's body had traveled some 15 miles up the coast and was completely unharmed. It was a true miracle. The men who found her said she was crying and hungry, but all was well with her. What a miracle. I have no doubt that this couple's faith was strengthened. They were not members of the church and I don't know any further status with that. I am sure an angel carried her to safety. I LOVE hearing these kinds of stories, especially when I trust the source and know it's true. I just want to say that along with the mission president's wife who was pre-warned, I add my voice to what she reported as they walked outside their home during the earthquake. I KNOW that only the LORD and the SPIRIT will be able to save us. And when I say, "save" us, I mean that literally. I just read the most overwhelmingly wonderful inspiring book. It has the account of the mission president's wife's story with that earthquake. And many other wonderful stories. It's by Elder Gerald Lund. It's called "Divine Signatures; The confirming hand of God". It is worth the read and re-read. I refer to it and still, 2 months later think about the principles taught. Truly, my friends, if we are spiritually intune and used to the Lord's voice, we will be able to heed the promptings and warnings. I KNOW it. I feel in my life that the Lord has given me extra blessing lately - a pouring out of his Spirit! It is wonderful. And it all is surrounded around preparedness - spiritual and physical. I do not fear, but will continue to pray and watch earnestly. God bless you all.

  11. Wow - that previous comment was fantastic. I am glad I blogged this so others can share their stories. I am wholeheartedly with Anon about living right and letting the Spirit guide you to the right situation. I have implicit trust in God - I cannot even begin to list the "mini-miracles" that confirm it for me as I move forward with faith. There are many on the other side rooting us on - I can sense it. If we are taken early; so be it. But, I trust that God has a plan for each of us.

On Hawaii, I am a little concerned as I am about any location that has openly trampled God's commandments and highest order given on this earth - marriage. The church spent millions over there fighting the consensus that "gay marriage" should be allowed - it was in essence the first battle ground; and I cannot remember if we lost that one as I got distracted over Boston, MA all the way to NYC all of which are slated for the hammer falling this time around.... If you do a search for Iohani Wolfgramm in the upper left hand corner of this blog, you will find an experience where he received his Calling and Election sure as promised to him by President Kimball. In it, Iohani described a very large wave on the people of Tonga if they did not repent. That was their reality if they did not repent as a people back in 1978. Indeed, as Jonah of old, he was able to effect change among the people and was instrumental in getting the temple built there and the conversion of the royal family. I am not sure where they are today. I do know where the people of Hawaii stood several years ago when I was supremely disappointed by their legislation. All I can say is stay away from the active volcanoes (big island) and surround yourself with good people if you must stay there and find many places above 3000 feet where you can go with bridges and cars and communications down. The Dec 26th Indonesian EQ caused the flood to move almost completely north as that island was displaced 100 feet in that direction. It just pushed the water north - virtually no displacement to the south and little/no damage there. I had a Japanese-American co-worker (Rick M.) who told me he liked to go Phuket for the young (14-16 y.o.) Thai girls at the very coastal resorts that were wiped out. Many of those people killed were there as sex tourists - many pedophiles, many very sick people doing sick things. I told Rick M. that he needed to change and do the honorable thing of marriage and that that place would be destroyed for what it represented. He was angry with me for having said it. Two years later, it was wiped out. I will not go to Las Vegas for the same reason - because I decry it and what it stands for and am at a loss at the people that feel comfortable living there. I have angered even a few of my own siblings who used to live there and feel it is normal and there is nothing wrong with it. I told them, it will be destroyed by nuclear fire - possibly very shortly. I am just barely entering back into dialogue with one sibling in particular for having said it. Sad when you are surrounded by filth and you cannot feel it due a life desensitized by wrong living. I will not live or even go to San Fransisco for those very reasons. God will not be mocked.

If you feel fine with your situation, you have one of two things going on. Your surroundings are good by virtue of the people around you and you may be spared from destruction - or you are surrounded by bad juju, and you are part of the problem so you will be swept away with the wicked (and some righteous, as well). I put all my preps in an "ark" which is a portable trailer and will be on the eastern front of the Rockies when the day arrives with those of my family that want to do a little fall camping...

  13. I was just married in the temple after being a very poor single mom for 7 years. I felt prompted to use gift cards and money from the wedding to get our 72 hour kits put together and have a tent. we also have a month supply of food, but that is all we can do at this time.I had a some friends who jumped the gun several years ago and just up and moved to missouri. They were told by church leaders to go back to Utah and when they didnt and encouraged other family members to come to Missouri, found themselves excommunicated from the Church. Please follow the Spirit, not the hype.

  14. I only started reading your blog a few weeks ago, and while at first, (I must admit) I felt you were a little bit of a fanatic, I have since started to develop a strong sense of urgency to "get my house in order." I am in southern California. I am looking for a new job right now, but don't feel any prompting to get out of California just yet (although I hate the politics, high cost of living, and liberalism of the people here). It is my hope and prayer that I can stay close to the spirit to help me get prepared, and to know what to do should the time come that I and my family need to leave. But if these events play out in the next few months, I'm afraid I will have done too little, too late. Thank you for all you do to get the word out! I am now studying the signs of the times and I see them all around me! The scriptures are as current as today's morning paper!
